All further support conversations will be made public until I get my money back.

Support Conversation:

● Braille: Yo Ognjen you really ought to find a new job, I'd imagine they're underpaying you if they can't afford to pay me my winnings.

Ognjen-Support: Hi, Braille. The issue here is that you didn't place your order against Fairlay but against other user and we are doing our best to be fair as possible (one of the rules is that we void all orders placed after the official starting times and that was the issue in your case) so it is not an issue for us to add your winnings (and if you want we can do that) but we don't think that it's fair to reduce balance of other user to add it to yours.

My response:

You state that you void all orders placed after the official starting time.  The actual start time is all that matters in terms of fairness, and I made this bet before the match actually started.  By the way, your current system clearly needs fixing because your policy to void bets made after the starting window incentivizes this type of behavior from your market maker.  If I lost that bet, as the taker I would have no right to appeal, and he would've taken my money happily.  If I win, he just asks to void, and creates a nice no-lose bet for himself.  Very fair.  This situation is the inevitable result of your flawed system and ruleset, and if this hadn't happened to me it would've been someone else, and it will continue to happen until you decide to make a change.

I like that you are trying your best here, but you can easily see from my perspective your treatment is wholly unfair.  I'm am not responsible for the fact that you voided my bet.  You are responsible for paying out the wagers made on your platform, and frankly I don't give a fuck where the money comes from.  You allowed another user to falsely claim my pre-match bet was made too late to count, and now I'm supposed to have sympathy for him?  By all means, pay me my money from his funds. He lost that bet fair and square, and it is in fact, exactly how you should handle this situation. If you'd rather pay me out of the company's pocket, that's fine by me.  Perhaps instead you'd like to pay because you accidently made an unfair rule and are only now realizing it -- who would expect the listed start time would be 8 minutes different from the actual match start time.  Either way I deserve my money. I'd like to make amends and use your platform again at some point because no other book is offering me over 17.5 outs for Sandy Alcantara, and whoever's been booking that at -200 is asking to lose.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FAIRLAY.COM SCAM, BET WIN = NO PAY on: July 14, 2021, 04:17:49 PM
I once loved fairlay.  I have bet very large sums with them.  Back in the day, they were great.  Then they took my money and claimed a perfectly normal bet should be voided because it wasn't made in time.  Now I hate fairlay.  They have the worst customer service imaginable.  They also will completely screw up the amount of time and bitcoin fee required to make effecient withdrawals in times of network congestion.  I guarantee if this were a legal book and not some shady bitcoin-based website, they would have paid.  Nitrogen would have paid.  So I try to get my money back.  They say no.  Now I hate fairlay even more.  I have a long standing futures bet with fairlay.  I wonder if it cashes if they will claim I made it wasn't made in time.  Maybe one day they will find it in their heart to pay their customers the bitcoin they owe.  Until that day anyone who reads this should probably consider working with a book that knows how to treat their longstanding customers.  I'm literally VIP level 4 out of 5, and this is how they treat me.  I wonder how they treat their new customers.  For reference, I once let fairlay know they misgraded a loss a win because that's just how I do things.  David Montgomery didn't quite hit the over that day, but they paid me anyway.  I said no, and they happily took the bitcoin back.  Now the shoe is on the other foot, and I'm still waiting months for anything resembling a reasonable judgement about my win.  So that's how the story ends.  Not with a bang but with a whimper.  Maybe one day they will make things right.

Fairlay made no mistake, the match had not started yet.
6  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIRLAY.COM SCAMMING USERS, ILLEGAL BET VOIDING on: June 28, 2021, 04:32:08 AM
They maintain that the bet was made live-in play and deserves to be void despite the obvious evidence to the contrary.  Their support staff continues to be uncooperative.

8  Economy / Scam Accusations / FAIRLAY.COM SCAM, BET WIN = NO PAY [RESOLVED] on: June 26, 2021, 05:21:42 PM
I recently made a sizeable wager on a esports market on fairlay.com.  The bet won, and everything was hunky dory.  My account got paid and everything.  Then they void the bet the next day.  Apparently, the market maker is claiming the bet was made after the match started.  The bet was made during the draft, minutes before the start of the match.  The public records (the ones fairlay's completely unhelpful support staff directed me to) indicate the bet was made during the draft.  They review the case, and do nothing.  They keep the bet voided as apposed to giving me my rightful winnings.  They claim I have to contact 2nd-tier support and pay up to 5mbtc for normal support services.  I do and they still do nothing.  I have proven to them the bet was made before the match started and they ignore me, stating the official match start time invalidates my wager.  The official match start time is clearly created before the game actually started, as the duration is 8 minutes longer than the official match duration. The only recourse I have left is to blast fairlay.com on social media and public forums until they pay me back my money.  Do not use this site if you an enjoyable winning experience, as they will void your bet without a valid reason and to steal your money at any time.

What Happened:
Made bet at sportsbook, sportsbook claims bet is void due to being made live inplay (bet was actually made during the draft phase, pre-match).

Scammer's Profile Link:
fairlay.com

Amount Scammed:
7.99mbtc

Evidence:

Market:  https://fairlay.com/archive/pain-vs-istanbul-wildcats/?referral=b8378473-cd8d-44e9-bd6d-130770e61974, you can see the time of the bet in UTC is 17:19:14, May 10th.  I bet on Pain Gaming, and then they won.  You can see here: https://imgur.com/a/p8Dss6j, the bet is voided.

They claim (in chat support): Ognjen-Support: Hi, Braille. Those orders were placed after the match started and according to our rules, "Bets placed on non-live markets after they started ("late matches") are subject to be voided. Knowingly betting on non-live markets after the corresponding event already started is regarded as fraudulent activity.

Ognjen-Support: We've double checked it and your orders were placed six minutes after the map started.

● Braille: My single order was placed as both teams had 3 players drafted

Ognjen-Support: If you have proof that your order was placed before the match started please let us know and we'll look deeper into it.

I gave them proof, they looked deeper into it, and they continue to deny me my winnings.

The evidence:  https://cq-esports.com/matches/lol/284134-pain-gaming-pain-vs-istanbul-wild-cats-iwc-msi-10-05-21.  Start time of 17:14 UTC, end time of 17:51 UTC, May 10th.

The listed start time appears at first to in fact be before the time of my bet.  However, if you look at the duration (28:49) of the match, here: https://gol.gg/game/stats/31273/page-game/, you can infer that the match ended at 17:51, started at roughly 17:22 (51-29min duration=22), and that the 17:14UTC start time is when the draft started, not when the match started.  The game started at 17:22, and my bet at 17:19 must be honored.  This proves my bet @17:19:14 was before the match started, and must be legally honored.

I was thinking of depositing here, how did it end OP?

For the longest time I liked the site, then they scammed me.  I might try a site with a better history of paying out their users the bets they win if I were you.

Fairlay has rendered their final verdict:
Chat Log:  You did not place your order before official starting times and we settle (and void) according to official starting times. This case is closed. Have a nice rest of the week.

Fairlay are thieves!  Give me my money back, scumbags!  The official start time listed is clearly before the draft phase, and I deserve my money!
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIRLAY.COM SCAMMING USERS, ILLEGAL BET VOIDING on: June 16, 2021, 03:36:36 PM
the match started officially at 1700 and the actual game started at 1714, your bet was 5 minutes and 14 seconds after that.

I dont see the issue here, I know it really sucks esports are very difficult and if you dont have something that says any different what do you expect fairlay to use?

there are hundreds even thousands of match start times and you cannot watch videos to see when they fired the first bullet of each one you have to use the site official start time and if there is an issue with the ruling fairlay is glad to review it and modify it if its incorrect.

sorry about that it really sucks but fairlay is very well known as trustworthy and any issues they try to resolve using Pinnacles rules where they are applicable

https://www.pinnacle.com/en/help/betting-rules#Esports

The match did not start at the official start time, 17:00 is a bold faced lie.  You CAN watch videos and see when the actual match started.  It did not start on time and if you add up the numbers my bet was fairly placed.  The only thing that really sucks is your and your book's ability to determine when a match started.  Fairlay did a horrible job reviewing my appeals, sided with the market maker, and chose to steal my bitcoin from me without cause.  Fairlay, while generally trustworthy in the past, is no longer trustworthy in my eyes.  They also have a well-documented history of stealing any money (sometimes vast sums in the hundreds of thousands of dollars) they deem to be "dirty."  That sounds to me like a site the public should know is clearly unsafe to use.

I've started my own thread with the proof.  I don't want this buried on page #103.

What if fairlay includes the draft as official game time, just like the official cq esports site does.
[/quote]

The draft phase is considered pre-match.  I've made hundreds of bets during the draft in the past and they've never tried these shenanigans on me before.

Just so everyone knows, Fairlay has recently unfairly voided my sizeable esports bet (7.99 mbtc won) and refused to give me my money after numerous support requests.  I want my money back, and they refuse to do anything.  I've been a fairlay user for years, but now it seems they've started to steal money from their punters.  Do not bet with fairlay if you want your money after you win. There was a dispute about if my bet was made inplay or before the match started.  I made the bet during the draft, like I often do, and then they claimed that was during the match.   Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh.  I suggest other betting with other books, provided you like not having your bets unfairly voided.
