its a whole year to mine 1 million coins.. lol. people are so dumb.. it is a great investment opportunity no doubt why they dump it like that is beyond me. maybe theyre really poor or something but whatever they dumped at if they waited couldve gotten 10 or 100x that if they were a bit more patient. after u dump and abuse a market like that investors get put off. utopium needs to figure out something exciting and new to take part in and gain some attention. the 1000 floor is pretty solid but we're just not getting any new investors atm and it seems old investors are also dumping at a loss losing faith in the coin. all in all id say things are looking pretty grim for utopia unless some new investors can be attracted.  Don't forget, the general state of the market is scaring away too many investors from most new coins... Being delayed to trex during the c-cex pump didn't help, either. Looking back now, UPM would have obviously benefited from a more timely launch..... say, during the next wave of altcoin investors the market is clearly waiting for? Until then, the future of UPM depends on whether those involved can provide something novel and genuine to the quickly shifting paradigm of the altcoin market. This means more than ideas. Yeah, the market needs more philosophy. Period. Question is... will UPM be a competitor when the market is ready to indulge? It could definitely happen. So, what's the next step.......? ...I think it's obvious. The dev's want a strong community. Sure. But to be an altcoin competitor with a strong community, it's becoming more and more clear every day that potential investors need to trust the dev's and we need to see some more useful code. If the dev's provide the trust and utility factors investors are now screaming for, the community can be built confidently for the next big wave and no one has to worry about the price... Otherwise, I think UPM is unfortunately before its time. |

Make your own decisions but don't pretend that these concepts and attitudes aren't directly relevant and useful to the deeper character of crypto. The shit many of us want to talk about, but rather avoid looking stupid in front of the TA crowd or the cryptointellectuals or the sheep or the whales or the P&Ders or whoever. This coin could have an excellent chance at releasing psychological pressure in the crypto community. To talk about new things and that's worth my money, at least. |

In non-technical terms, this means you can create a website (without refreshing), that can poll data live from the cloakcoin program that is running. This also means that you could write an API to interface with the program via RPC-JSON (programming) commands. For security, in your preference file you just set what IPs are allowed to connect to you and your username/password. This could for example, allow you to run CloakTrade, OneMarket commands like make listings, and so forth all from external devices such as your mobile phone, as long as your client at home is still running. It's also possible for you to create a website on the P2P network? How? If you opt into this feature your Cloak Coin client acts as a web server of sorts. You could for example create a local.html file which displays data from your cloak (like how many listing on onemarket there is, your balance of a particular account, the ability to send money, create a listing on onemarket, buy/sell trade cloak, and on and on etc...) You could also create a local file html to ask the network for what peers have 'websites' they want to share, and someone could create a directory of these pages on a website for all to share by running the client on a web server and polling it constantly for updates. This would allow for P2P websites in the future and who knows what else we want to do. I'm probably not even realizing all the possibilities of this just yet, but it's very nifty . This sounds super nifty. |

Your question was answered pages ago. CloakSend 1.0 was anon through exchanges. CloakSend 2.0 is anon through an extension of the PoS protocol (PoSA). If you read the OP you wouldn't have to ask this question. I'll remember silly shit like this in 10 years... when the world takes crypto seriously and trolls lose all their early-adopter leverage... But in the meantime, are we really this childish? lol. |

They ban people for various reasons. If you're subject to ban, it's not for asking questions. It's for being an Ass. If you have a message to get across, do so. You don't have to be rude, hateful or any other adjective. Being respectful can go a long way. Especially when trying to get a message across. +1 |

Highly recommended thread, by the way. If anyone is interested in a Cloak thread dedicated to being useful for investors and potential investors... burner2014 is looking to build it with us. It's gonna be a super-efficient little organized home for all the critical info/data on the coin and the market, dev updates, plus (soon) Q&A discussion... ALL exclusively for the concerns and utility of the Cloak community... +3000 for burner. Long term, it'll bring lots of value to Cloak investors if the community gets in on it, too. We can cut FUDdy noise and start having healthy and honest discussion on developing plans to move forward. Short term, it'll help potential investors find all the critical info they need, organized in one place. So, you could consider it an excellent Cloak marketing tool, as well. (burner2014's doing an exceptional job, already, but he does need plenty of community participation. Just check out the thread and consider contributing your thoughts.) I did my promise, bought all of my BTC that I have: CLOAK.
I saw the coin history from the beginning. I am tired to mine and trade shitcoins with a one week life.
So I bought all of my money Cloak.
My question is, what is the safest place for my coins? I don't want to let them on Bittrex. (after my mtgox losts).
It is a good thing, that I sent to my wallet (on my PC), backup wallet.dat and copy a wallet.dat to an USB drive?

Use multiple USBs and CDs. Store them in different locations (in case of fire or theft) And should I lock my wallet with password? Of course, you should. Just know that it's the most intimate connection you will ever have with your Cloaks. The wallet opens their hearts in a special way that shows you a rare experience. When you encrypt your wallet, you will first see its bare weakness, at your mercy. But when the password is set... you see the infinite cryptostrength of the Cloaks. Set it once and seal it in your soul. |

Ok I got an answer back from HitBTC. They will choose a winner on or before AUG 1. Go and vote! https://hitbtc.com/vote If they dont add CLOAK it is their loss, not ours. Also, with votes of CLOAK and scam ISRAcoin so close they will probably add both coins. But in any case, Mintpal has a daily 500 BTC+ volume on CLOAK, why do we think we need the 5 BTC volume of HITBTC? You're thinking very close minded. HITBTC offers a cloak/usd market. It's not just another exchange. While they may have low volume now, it won't always be that way. Any new market that adds CLOAK is a win. ...and Isra passes us by <100 votes every time we get close. We're already breaking the last HITBTC's vote, apparently. And hearing the term "choose a winner on or before AUG 1" makes me think it sounds like their decision won't be about the votes, anyways... and there's no question they'll see Cloak has the better market and battle is over. Money wins. |

FUD will have some impact on the price of the coin, but big investors are big investors because they are experienced investors. Because they are experienced, they understand the game, and don't really get caught up in the FUD. They know that getting emotionally attached to an investment is unwise. But, to play devil's advocate, if too many inexperienced, low level investors are controlling the ups and downs then the experienced investors will "need" to pay close attention to how people are reacting to the FUD, not so much the FUD itself. With that said, I'm buying more cloak... what is the latest FUD with cloak atm? I don't think there actually is a "FUD EXHIBIT A", atm. ...I think the FUD is that there are "too many" idiots trollin around these forums and that scares away "investors". Truth is these idiots have patience issues and don't really matter in the long run. Cloak is building more momentum than any number of obvious trolls could ever stop and real, patient investors can figure this out very easily. |
