1  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: March 07, 2023, 05:15:24 AM
In war no country benefits despite the attack or winning from the opponent,
Pardon! I do disagree with your statement here that in war non of the belligerent country benefits in anyway in the way. Let use the case of the WW2 between the USA and the Japanese, dis you know that part of the world power the USA wield today was due to the  resultant aggression of the atomic bombs dropped in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The effect of such act paid the USA an influence of a world power among other nations of the world. So doesn't that sounds like a benefit?

2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 07, 2023, 04:48:57 AM
So my question now is that can someone use gambling as a means of earning living?
yes, someone can use gambling as a means to earn for a living, but it is not for everyone. you might see people earning for a living through gambling but they are just a very small percentage among all the people who tries to earn for living through gambling. if you are planning on trying to earn through gambling, I suggest yo think it through.
For anyone that could make a living out of gambling is buy a bachelor in the sense that I don't see a family man with responsibilities from all sides that would depend his source of living on gambling, a route of exercise that is unsure and unreliable.

Beware of scammers, Nigerians have not matured enough to control or provide jobs like advance countries. In advance countries private companies which are meant only for employment and hiring of workers are always on the peak. But in Africa (most in Nigeria), scammers stay behind the companies to scam people. From the link you provided, I am not really sure that, it is a legit company. Legit companies create website before social media and not social media first. Now when you join the WhatsApp group how do you get a job. It is through any link provided by anyone in the group, admin etc. Which has no direction and it will lead to scamming. I am a well experience person in such scenario. I have been scammed by such groups and platforms.

Forum users be warned when applying. Scammers can use different dimensions to get money.

5  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: November 15, 2022, 02:19:23 AM
The main reason why employees leave companies can be on lack of incentives or rather lack of growth. Some of these companies are too rigid to the extent that its workers have less time to spend with family or even time for themselves. Some work six days in a week at at least 10hours daily. Another thing that prompts some workers to seek greener pasture else might be because they are not comfortable with shifts allocated to them, lack of growth within the company like raising in ranks easily like government owned work places. It could also be due to fear, some companies scare there workers with sack and they feel threatened so when better jobs opportunities come they turn to jump on it. Some of this companies also don't have retirement plans like pensions and workers tend to look for pensionable jobs since its hard to save for some during their active working days. Irregular transfers of employees by employers can effect the switching of jobs or people seeking to be independent.

Every salary earner looks and hope towards a wonderful pensionable life after years in service and this hopes can hardly be fulfilled with private establishments, for a very few of them tend to meet up to this expectations from employees and that's why every employee with a good retirement plans in mind will definitely switch from one establishments to another in his/her best interest as these private establishments are there for their own best interest too.
In third world countries especially, the only establishments that obviously renders gratuity and pension to  employees after their years of service is done with are the government owned establishments and that's why many people scout for employment is parastatals and establishments own by government as the feel secure about their pension and gratuity benefits in their old age under government establishments as against  the private ones. Cause a private establishments is profit oriented based their capitalist drive which is not solely of a focus from government that seek to just making sure her citizens are gainfully employed, perhaps the reasons for job switch by many.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The sole difference is capital. on: October 05, 2022, 04:19:50 PM
Having capital is definitely a good thing, but it's not the only factor — and it's definitely not the main one. If you're really actually a good trader, you should be able to make it with the help of leverage.

^Not saying that I advice people to use leverage, of course.
Capital definitely is not the only factor but it's more of a strong leverage to one that has it, for being a good trader then what should follow is nothing but a good capital to reconcile it.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 03, 2022, 12:13:16 PM
City with Haaland is just too good - they seem unstoppable at this point. He's exactly the type of player they needed - a no-nonsense, high workrate quality forward option that will have a million of good passes to chase and convert.

He's got 3 hattricks in 8 games - I heard somewhere that the record for 3 hattricks before him was like 40+ games or something. He's not going to the WC so he'll be well rested - he looks set to break all the scoring records this year.
Haaland is like a Monster on the opponent's goal line. always in position and can hit the ball with any part of the foot. He was as big as a rugby player, agile as a gymnast, and terrifying to any goalkeeper who saw him gliding towards them. we can watch history unfold before us week after week.
In the first half of the game it's like the fear of the presence of haaland made United to play like cowards on the pitch with a lot of marking and attacking errors especially at the defensive line the full backs were just powerless. Whoever spoke to the United players in the dressing room at the end of the first half did that motivational speech late cause at the second half their playing pattern and confidence in the field improved and that was what gave them the three goals.
Haaland is really something else much more than just a goal monster.

On the other hand, am I the only one observing how Aston Villa is really struggling under Gerrard since the beginning of the season, couldn't even get a good dominant possession not to talk of a goal from a one man down Leeds within the weekend.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 02, 2022, 02:03:26 PM
And Manchester City have taken the lead in less than 10 minutes of the game, Phil Foden with the beautiful finish and Bernardo Silva with the assist. So far the Manchester City players have been all over the game dominating in ball possession and counter-attacks, I think the pressure is too much for United to calm unless they take control of the midfield that's when I think they will come back in this game.

What do you think?

I think Derby is no longer as hot as they once were, it appears embarrassing and disheartening that Manchester United has allowed four goals to Manchester City in the first 45 minutes of the game, despite Bruno Farnados, Erik's favourite player hasn't done much or scored.
Manchester City had complete possession of the ball, they had the field to themselves, and they have genuinely established that they are the host of this Derby, Haaland has also stolen the show with two goals and a fantastic assist, I haven't seen any impressions from Manchester United in this March.  Undecided
In the game of football everyone has their era and this is city's era to dominate in all the big four, not even United can withstand the pressure.
The midfield and defence line is just weak and I really think ten hag needs to do something before the second half of the game else more goals should be expected cause United style of play today is just something below expectation.

How can they conceive 4goals in a half time, it's inexplicable for a team like United.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 02, 2022, 12:25:12 PM
About Man City vs Man United, I believe Man City is still superior to Man United, they should get full points. Man United current performance seems not enough to beat Man City because Man City has a stronger squad. Moreover, the match will be in Etihad, Man City players must have a special motivation to win at their home.

City is without doubt are in great form than United and they have great squad too but United always have surprised in big matches. So far I haven't seen a solid City in the season as while they might be scoring goals but they have been caught in the back on couple of occasions. If United gets an early goal and defends their net well then they can defeat City today.
If it's a defensive means Manchester United would opt for in defeating city through an early minutes goal then it's only going to end in furious futility for them cause United don't have such defence currently to withstand attacks from City especially with the like of haaland and his current form on goals.

The game is just what we can't really say but lets just expect the surprises when it comes
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: October 02, 2022, 05:05:26 AM
Very a few persons can deal with a bearish market especially one that s long standing as this, when expectations were that it wouldn't or might not take long but then it's getting much longer than expected.

But like OP said, take your mind and eyes off the charts for that's one better tactics to keep up with your investment especially when you initially had a long term plan before the bearish.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: October 01, 2022, 11:45:19 PM
You are a core gambler,I mean you have a reserved or particular time that you use in gambling everyday, just the way some of us are,we even add gambling expenses to our monthly budget because we gamble to entertain ourselves.
A new government came into power, and enacted a law that nobody should gamble anymore in the country i.e gambling becomes illegal. Will you just behave yourself and abide to this new law that is depriving you from having fun as a good citizen ? or will you ignore the law and keep on gambling since there are online casinos that you can gamble secretly with your mobile phones with out no one knowing ?
Like medicine to the body so is gambling to a core gambler. Someone like me there could only be some limits at the rate to which I go on gambling due to the restrictions but the law doesn't stand a chance in stopping me completely from gamblers as long as online gambling sites exist.
Anything that gives me fun and expectations for profit am not sure I'll abandon it for sake of any law as long as am not causing harm to my next neighbor..
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 01, 2022, 11:37:31 PM
2-1 for Roma Abraham just scored and now Inter is losing.

Again Inter is doing the game but Roma is good with counterattacks.

10 minutes left

Jose mourinho had the experience to crack his former club Inter, Roma are not playing aggressively in attack, they let their opponents play with the ball and take advantage of few mistakes and open spaces, Mourinho is having a different approach and it seems to he working, on the other hand Inter are suffering to win matches, keeping position of the ball is not enough to win.
At the end of the 90minutes of play it's always the winner that gors home with three points and not by possession and that's a special trait about Mourinho as the special one, do the playing while I go home with the points.
Inter despite having much dangerous attacks and goal attempts were yet unable to convert those attempts to their favour.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading gambling in another form? on: October 01, 2022, 06:38:10 PM
Trading is like gambling but can't be regarded as gambling just because it shares certain few features with gambling technicalities in terms of prediction, analysis and odds that be.

Getting into trading it's like trying to learn a skill with a sense of direction unlike gambling that's just mostly based on prediction and luck streaks.
14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education seems to have failed in some developing country on: October 01, 2022, 06:30:45 PM
Most people go to school believing that they will get a job after schooling. In most developing country, the rate of unemployment keep increasing every year as graduate are produced every year to the labor market with a decline in rate of job opportunity. Using Nigeria as a case study, over 600,000 graduates are produced every year to the labour market with no job opportunity. This make the rate of unemployment increase every year.

Due to this, most youth believe education as failed them after graduated for years without a job. Alot of graduate are into transportation and other minor stuff that are irrelevant to thier course of study to sustain their living.

Quote
This is seen in a case where some students went back to their school to demand for a payback of all money spent during their schooling period after graduating for years without job.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2022/09/video-drama-as-lautech-graduate-visits-school-to-return-certificate-demand-refund-of-fees/amp/

My question is: Does education guarantee a job.

Answer: No

Being educated means you are trainable i.e you should be able to use your acquired knowledge to creat space for yourself in the labour market even if their isn't any job opportunity. Education will give you some skills that make you different from an illiterate.

CONCLUSION
School gives certificate but doesn't guarantee a job. Education never fails, it's gives knowledge and skills. This knowledge and skills acquired through it brings breakthrough on the long run. Therefore, graduate should think beyond getting a job after schooling but plan on how to utilize the knowledge and skills acquired through their education to create jobs for themselves and others.
One problem with the education system in the developing countries is that they still cling onto what I'll call the photocopy system of education left with them by their colonial Masters and have failed to review for an education system that fits in their sociocultural and environmental background , one that is congruent with their milieu and at same time reconcile with contemporary patterns of education.

All I see about the third world nation's pattern of education is just theories upon theories with little or no practicals included to the study.
You can't be teaching a computer engineering student with just theories only and them compare him with another that's given much practicals on computer engineering and a few theories.
It's not possible .
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 01, 2022, 06:22:00 PM
Now Sevilla - Atletico Madrid is going on by Atletico's 1-0 lead. Their performance so far has been better which isn't surprising at all. Sevilla's bad form is very likely to continue if they don't gather themselves up.

Morata has scored the second goal for Atlético de Madrid, and Sevilla is running out of time for the comeback. A final result of 0-2 is the most likely. Good news for Atlético, who keeps defending it's position in the ranking, and a deathly loss for the Andalusians, who se to have a hard time scoring points this season.
It's been a wonderful season starts for Morata actually, and he's proven as a good signing for atleti'co de Madrid. When you meet a team that is not at it's best at the moment all you need do is to claim your three points from them and that's what atleti'co is definitely fulfilling tonight.

Sevilla really  needs to improve in their performance as they ain't playing like a team playing at home tonight.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 01, 2022, 06:14:03 PM
Nothing justifies drawing today. Brighton was superior than Liverpool because they played admirably and scored goals without any difficulty. Liverpool is unbeaten for the fourth ELP game but draws the Firth one, while Brighton is more coordinated in the game today. I don't hold Liverpool responsible for the draw since these players have been overexerting themselves for the past two years. If they want to compete for the championship this season, they must rejuvenate themselves.
The coach must also give Trent, Van Dijik, and Fab Hendo a break. They're terrible right now, making one believe they've lost faith in themselves. Fans should be prepared to lose bet every weekend if Klop doesn't bring in the younger talents.
Liverpool players are in one of their worst form this season with Trent poor marking on the pitch, he's relenting in too many games and one of his poor defending led to a goal for the reds. Liverpool are always punish when they get they make mistakes and not just common mistakes but it costs them to concede goals. Jurgen Klopp knows the areas that weaken his team and formation, moreover he's working on it and in January transfer window, he's going to sign more players especially midfielders and defenders to the team.
These mistakes will keep on coming as long as the loophole is still there, Liverpool will on keep struggling probably till next window when they must have covered their loops with the right signing for the defensive and midfield jobs. Like I couldn't believe my eyes when Brighton scored 2 goals within about 15 minutes of play.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason Why People(Mostly Newbies) Fall Victim To Scams Easily. on: September 11, 2022, 02:39:55 PM
you can trade actively on the side. Could be P2P or actual spot or futures/margin trading on the side to make little profits on the way up.
It's easier said than done.

Trading is one of the most difficult games you'll ever play, because you're competing against a group of individuals who have far more resources, are far more informed, and far more intelligent than you. You'll also be up against those who have insider information, better financial means, and, most significantly, more experience.

If there is anything a newbie can do, it is to forget they can earn at least a penny but rather to survive in the long run -- of course, with the help of educating yourself.

Some other people suggest about trading and telling butterfly words that this is much better than any ponzi schemes because they can actually earn money here but they forget to tell how technical this area is since even if how good we are in trading still this will not give any guarantee that we will be totally get rich if we do trades.

Education is must be a priority to certain individual who want to became a trader because this will dictate their survival especially the market is so unstable and unpredictable.
Trading in the outlook of it all looks juicy for a newbie seeing how an experience and more older person in the business is making profits but would fail to understand that the person might have passed through rigorous and ugly experience of losses to be able to start doing fine in the cryto trading.

Here it's about putting self efforts and making up your mind that it's either a loss or win thing. And it's only when newbie's understand this side by side can they accept and learn from both the good and bad side of trading for them to improve.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: September 06, 2022, 09:07:25 PM
Goallll! It's Real Madrid 2:0 for celtic in the ample of minutes in the second half. Celtic have played beautifully until now. Real Madrid is out to show them whose boss and how much experience could aid you in the UCL. Celtic lost yet another chance in the early minutes of the first half after a carefully worked ball right into the Real Madrid 18 yard box and Daizen Maeda couldn't place the ball just right. Great assist from Federico Valverde and V. Jnr did justice to it ad a nicely nasal short from Luca Modric into the goal to give Real Madrid its second.
Real Madrid had to proof tonight of what a great champion they are and a no match for Celtic. All the Celtic coach could do at the second half was just what I could refer to as damage control by making much changes just to reduce the rate of goals.

That said, another game that tickled my fancy was the Leipzig vs shakhtar donetsk game, irrespective of the war challenges in Ukraine shakhtar donetak still dominated the German side whisking a three point without fear or favor.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 01, 2022, 10:30:23 PM
I think that the Aubameyang deal is beneficial for each side. Because Chelsea immediately needed to sign a striker before the end of the window. Otherwise a very tough season was waiting for them due to scoring problems. Aubameyang is one of the great choices available in the market. He is very familiar with the Premier League too so there wouldn't be any adaptation issue as well. Barcelona needed to get rid of some players to solve their registration problems in the La Liga also. Depay or Aubameyang was needed to leave and they reached their goal.
Agree with what you say because in this case all have their respective advantages.
Chelsea are currently in poor form in their attack and with the arrival of Auba it is now hoped they will improve. For Barcelona, they were lucky because they got money and Alonso for Aubameyang, who was brought in with free agents.
For Aubameyang himself this is another opportunity because he is aware that Barcelona is now very difficult to compete in attack after Lewandowski arrived.

Thomas Tuchel once had a close relationship with Aubameyang as they worked together at Dortmund, it will make Aubameyang will quickly adapt
to the Chelsea game. So Chelsea's choice to sign Aubameyang was very right. Besides being able to meet the needs of Chelsea, which lacks quality
strikers, Aubameyang also seems to be able to directly contribute to Chelsea. Chelsea could sign Aubameyang for a bargain price of 14 million euros,
but they have to let Marcos Alonso move to Barcelona. This trade-in scheme went smoothly and benefited both clubs, because both Barcelona and
Chelsea got the players they wanted before the transfer window closed. I can't wait to see Aubameyang's debut at Chelsea, Chelsea's performance
should be getting better with the arrival of Aubameyang. Because we know that so far Chelsea has had problems up front, Chelsea is less productive
in scoring goals, hopefully the arrival of Aubameyang makes Chelsea's front line much more productive and can make Chelsea win more games.
Tuchel knows better that he needed such an upfront for the team as it's one of the key position the team is currently lacking in terms of converting chances to goals.
If he Tuchel had failed to close this deal it really would have been as bug set back for the long blues this season.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to hedge/cashout bets before end of sport event? on: August 29, 2022, 06:40:45 AM
From the scale of 1 to 10 I will say it's 7% profitable to hedge cash out bets especially when the remaining sports games seems to look like it won't go to your favor.
Personally I have had a o cash out of my bet as many times as possible and it's been to my own very favour as the remaining few games in the bet ended not in my favour after I cashed out.
Although I have lossed out by cashing out on an ongoing game due to how the game was going in an uncertain way but at the end it went to my favour but by then I have already cashed out a meager sum hut on the ye other hand, cash out has been more profitable to me than the latter.
