1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Difference in Ethermine dashboard and miningpoolsprofits.com/whattomine.com on: October 04, 2021, 03:05:43 PM
Thank you for the reply.

I got it now, so Ethermine earnings estimate is based on 24 hours data for the rig, while whattomine/miningpoolsprofit are based on the current difficulty.

It makes sense, I will stop thinking much about it.

Its not only that there are other factors as well. For example if you got a slow internet connection then instead of getting a block you might end up with a stale. Another reason is your GPUs might from time to time get hardware errors which are obviosuly never counted as actual shares.

There are also fees with your miner software. Most likely you are paying a 1% fee which you won't see on the pool. Then there is always the chance that your hashrate shown is not extirely accurate either. Depending on what miner you are using might be off by a fraction of a percent or so.

I  always take 90-95% of what those values are calculated as my actual earnings.

Yes, I understand now, there are other factors as well that will impact the estimated earnings on Ethermine dashboard. The only thing that concerned me that 10% or more difference was way too much and that miningpoolsprofit/whattomine need to update their calculations so that is realistic.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Looking for Datacenter hosting for GPU mining rig. on: October 03, 2021, 05:43:29 PM
Hello,

I am looking for datacenter for hosting my GPU mining rig, which is currently consuming around 30KW per day.

With electric cost rate among the highest in California, it will be good to host the mining rig at datacenter where the typically rate is around $0.07 per kwh.

Can anyone recommend me some datacenter (preferably Nevada) where I can host the GPU mining rigs?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Cheers!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Difference in Ethermine dashboard and miningpoolsprofits.com/whattomine.com on: October 03, 2021, 04:31:13 PM
Hello,

I have a difference of around 10% less reported on Ethermine dashboard as compared to values provided by miningpoolsprofit.com and whattomine.com for the same Ethash.

I guess 10% difference is too high and something is wrong either with Ethermine or miningpoolsprofit/whattomine.

Do anyone experience similar difference?

Cheers!!

Hi there,

Did you manage to find the data center for hosting your GPU mining rig?

I am in a similar situation and want to move my GPU mining rig to a datacenter since electric cost is too high here in California and it gets in the highest tariff slot as my power consumption has increased.

I am looking for datacenter in Nevada area if possible.

Cheers!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer X12 Ultra - setup question. on: June 30, 2021, 03:37:53 AM
Thanks Xazax310 for the info.

My power supply is 750W each (total 2250w).
Right now I have only 2 GPU cards, so is it safe if I use only one power supply or minimum two power supply are required to make it work?
Another limitation is I have 110 v socket available.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Octominer X12 Ultra - setup question. on: June 30, 2021, 12:41:21 AM
Hello,
I have received my Octominer X12 Ultra rig today.
It has three power supply, and one cable provided that connects to three power supply.
Can I connect three different power cables and connect to 110v or do I need a server power cable which connects to 220v?
Does anyone have manual for Octominer X12 Ultra model that they can share? I did not receive any manual with the mining rig.
I checked the tutorial on Youtube but it does not provide all the information.
Thanks to the Octominer team!!!!
