Can confirm that. And my coins made it to bittrex, so ignore what I said before. Just took a little longer than expected, probably just due to their update process. |

What you're smelling, according to what Dev says in IRC is the block explorer being updated to the new client.
But bittrex is already supposed to be updated. My tx has 10 confs now - nothing on bittrex. |

Block speed seems to have greatly increased, that's nice. The block explorer doesn't seem to see the new blocks though? It's still sitting at 26099, while my wallet says 26126. Also, the coins I sent to bittrex are not showing there, even though the tx has 7 confs already. I smell a fork. |

We're going to be releasing a wallet update to reduce the stake time and speed up the blockchain. We've completed the development work and are just running some tests today to make sure everything works as intended - we'll announce the exact details for the release time a bit later today.

Should show up pretty much instantly (within a minute or so). Are you sure you withdrew from bittrex correctly? You need to confirm the email they send you.

I don't really understand the pow and pos lingo as I am not a computer guy, however, I am betting that miners are gonna dump on this, I almost wish the dev would of waited for the announcement. Ahhh well, I ll buy in on the dump:-)
There are about 300 (super)blocks left to mature, which makes about 50k MAST. 50k out of 2.5 million... Even if you assume that all these are immediately dumped on the market (not gonna happen), at the current valuation these 50k are worth about 10 BTC. That's nothing. Other market forces weigh much more at this point than a few last miners dumping. |

Is this coin still being mined?
Cannot be mined directly anymore, only on multipool (still a good idea to do though). If it cannot be mined anymore, have the 1200 confirmations gone through for the last of the coins??

When they just staked (when you got reward) you need to wait 1200 confs for them to become mature. So there's nothing "your friend" can do except wait for them to become spendable again. If you want to disable staking, start the client with -staking=0 @dev: you mentioned before you might reduce the mature-time after PoW is over. I think you should do it. 1200 confs is way too long, especially since the confs seem to take quite a bit longer with PoS. |

The people who sold this low will regret it.
The current price is still dirt cheap though. I've said it before: Not going to sell a single coin under 300k, and I believe it won't take too long for us to get there.
There's only 2.5m coins guys... do the math.

Yes, but realistically less, since PoS blocks (which is already active) count towards the max block count. Dev estimated 2.1-2.5 million max after PoW is finished. |

There are some accusations that your code is a copy of Husky coin. Any merit to those accusations?
It's obviously not just a clean copy of Huskycoin. The two have different criteria. Aside from the usual different basic parameters, especially the distribution model is very different. Huskycoin has this: POW REWARDS
0 -1000 2500COIN
1000-3000 1250COIN
3000-7000 625COIN
7000-15000 312COIN So diminishing returns for miners. Mastiffcoin uses superblocks at the beginning and end, with a longer "normal" period in the middle. That is a lot fairer and more incentivizing for miners, don't you think? Probably one of the reasons Husky hasn't taken off in a significant way. |

Hey bit of a newb - can anyone explain this staking business?
I have about 20% of my wallet sitting in 'stake' and other 80% in 'spendable' and current 0 in 'unconfirmed'
I have received a small amount via PoS which state 'mined' (confirmed+accepted) + some which is 'generated but not accepted' (i.e. looks dead)
I go into advanced options in wallet (under send) and see in the tree view that the items which seem to align with the 'stake' bucket have a priority of highest' and are reasonably old ( 14-May ) and have 4073 confirmations.
The other 80% is also marked priority 'highest' but slightly newer (about 12 hours later ~15-May ) but with higher confirmations (6307)
I was expecting that after they matured (X-Days) they would move from 'spendable' => 'stake'
what makes them 'stake'-able? Please note that I do have multiple 'addresses' as I spread the incoming coins across multiple as I assumed (at the time) that if I added newer coins to existing address with older coins the 'clock' would restart.....

Here's my basic understanding of this, but as I'm also new to all this PoS business, I could be way off. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. All normal, mature coins are "Stakeable". Coins in "Stake" are coins that recently received PoS coins. It creates a new output that needs to mature again, that's why it isn't spendable. Once it gets spendable (mature) again, it shows at the spendable balance and will start to attract stake again. So for example, you have 1 address, where you got 3 transactions. 1: 10 MAST 2: 100 MAST 3: 1000 MAST When these coins are mature, they start trying to find PoS blocks, each output individually. So you have 1110 mature coins under "Spendable". The 1000 MAST output has a higher chance to get stake reward than the 10 MAST. But over time, the chance increases, so that the 10 MAST will eventually also find it. When the 1000 MAST found reward (say 0.1 MAST), you'll have a new 1000.1 MAST output that needs to mature (1200 confirmations) again. The 1000.1 MAST then show up under "Stake" and can not be spend (or receive PoS reward) until they mature. The remaining 110 are still under "Spendable" and waiting to get their PoS. About the "'generated but not accepted' (i.e. looks dead)": That usually means those PoS blocks you mined are orphans, so the network has decided to take another block instead of yours (happens when blocks are found at almost the same time by different people). |

No, we're not going to change the specifications of the coin now just because one guy on bitcointalk asked us to -- sorry DailyModo  Aside from that, our research and analysis shows that the 2x SuperBlocks for the last day of mining will yield the opposite effect. They will draw a lot of attention and hashrate to the coin, which will cause mining difficulty to rise for the last day and increase the coin's value. Also, note that due to our long maturity requirements (1200 confirmations) on mined blocks, any effects of SuperBlocks are delayed and spread out over time... meaning that the increased attention to the coin will precede any effect on price from the increase in block rewards. I'm continuously reassured that buying into this coin was the right decision. You don't seem like the usual retard who starts a new p&d coin. The dev knowing what he's doing is 95% of what counts.
