Their website hasn't been accessible since last night either.
2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: May 28, 2014, 11:42:16 PM
I signed up with BTC-e last week and just sent in my verification to ANXPro today.  I was a little concerned that I made the right decisions for exchanges then I come here.  I feel better now that I know others are using them with good results.

I tried to verify with BitStamp but they kept returning me down and I could never get an answer as to what the problem was, I tried 3 times then told them I was talking my money someplace else.  I scanned and sent my electric bill and passport and can't imagine what the problem was.  I told them that the only paper bill I get is my electric and that if they checked my passport my middle name is on the electric bill.  Now I'm glad it worked out this way.

Danny,

Space isn't a problem so I'll let it finish.  Its working on June 2013 now and only about 60k blocks left to go :-)  I've got plenty of time as I just initiated a wire from my USD account to my Bitcoin exchange account.

I downloaded and played with Mulitbit and created a Blockchain wallet yesterday.  I've been reading about Armory but I don't know that I need that much protection yet.  But then again, maybe better safe than sorry.  At this point I'm only buying what I can afford to loose.  I think in the long term the Bitcoin will be a real success, provided it can weather all of the politicians and governments that try to put the screws to it.  I'm thinking if we can get past the next 3 or 4 years it will be so big that it can't be stopped.

Its really amazing how fast things change daily.  I'm studying and learning all I can about Bitcoin as time permits and I've ran across several links that no longer work or the page says it no longer exists.  This forum is a great place to keep up with things too.

Again, thank you so much for your help.

Thanks Danny.  If I knew that yesterday I wouldn't have jumped the gun today.  This is good to know.

Thanks.  I'll let it run.  Just surprised that it takes 2 days to synch.

The Debug window show that its slowly counting blocks, Current number of blocks:  235365 & Estimated total blocks:  302928.  Number of connections show 8.

Thanks.

I've been running Bitcoin-QT for 30+ hours and it has yet to sync.  The Synchronizing with Network bar is filled about 25% and of the vertical bars on the lower right theres still a red dot where the bars start and all the bars but the last and largest are yellow.  What am I doing wrong?

Bitcoin Core version v0.9.1-beta (64-bit) running on mac OSX 10.9

Thanks.
