1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: check UTOPIA! - SECURE INSTANT MESSAGING, ENCRYPTED E-MAIL, ANONYMOUS PAYMENTS! on: October 09, 2023, 08:40:19 PM
Certainly. CRP shows stability on LBank. Keep watch; Utopia P2P plans major updates that might fuel an organic price surge. If you have a PC/VPS, consider exploring mining for this privacy coin. 🚀
Well checking the history of CRP Crypton you would see that this coin has also done well in the dip and out of the dip I believe this coin would still do well in the forth coming bull run.

5  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / USDT better pass domiciliary account on: August 18, 2023, 02:44:25 PM
As we dey see our naira dey drop the symbol of our currency just dey dey worthless every day many people won turn to foreign currency at all cost and the way to do so for this country na to have domiciliary account if you one leave your money for bank or you fit use your niara go buy US dollar keep which I no advice, it's risky keeping money especially if the money dey huge.

I never trust our banking system for one dey but the urge to get my money out of niara propelled me to going to get domiciliary account but the shege I see during the process no be here. The demands come they tire me and this na my money we dey talk about here, I still got it but I come reason say it's not worth the struggle and time and effort, and e just be like say I don give my money to the government and them fit freeze am anytime they want.

Then I decided to shift to crypto that is stable and then I went for USDT a stable coin pegged to US dollar it was pretty easy buying some USDT from and exchange and saving it in a wallet, my wallet na me they control the Wallet. So in comparison to domiciliary account based on time, effort and potential of losing your holdings I suggest using stable coin than having a domiciliary account in Nigeria.
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Now let’s talk about CEX or DEX on: August 01, 2023, 08:12:37 AM

Both DEX and CEX have their own advantages and disadvantages but in general CEX still prevails because of the services it provides more complete and convenient than DEX. DEX is just the right place for those who love privacy and value security, the rest are traders, simple, easy, like cheap fees… and don't value privacy, CEX is the one place for you. In terms of liquidity, CEX is obviously a lot bigger than DEX, so if judged fairly, CEX is dominating most of the market and 90% of investors are using CEX instead of DEX.
Both CEX and DEX has good and bad side you are right on that but CEX which centralized exchange has more disadvantages than the DEX decentralized exchange.

And in line with what the OP meant which was about how secured it is then it has to be Decentralized exchange, it's more secured than the centralized exchange because it does not require KYC (know your customer) a way centralized exchange usesntheir customers details for verification, this can lead to your identity being exposed.

7  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Accepting Cryptocurrency in occasion. on: April 26, 2023, 12:44:17 PM
My country people I greet all of una well well, I hope we all dey okay, I go first like to tell of una say my sis just gave birth successfully not too long ago.

The reason why I dey make this post na to showcase how cryptocurrency don dey grow for our country and it's really encouraging for everyone of us. The couples that has the kids are youth and this is their first issue and they know many other youth so I was in charge of the ceremony.
Although the naira scarcity has started to reduce in place around the country I no go like take Chances Sha.

So I created a Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT wallet account for the ceremony for any one way go like give to the couples and those that send it gets a paper format with the babies pic, you know we Nigerians like to showoff by spraying.

My happiness be say many people actually use the option and it sweet me to see that cryptocurrency do go far for Nigeria and cryptocurrency system fit bring the change wey we need for our money and financial system matter

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Help]Setting up my AG(Air Gap) Laptop on: April 24, 2023, 10:32:25 AM
question (1). Electrum is a good option.

question (2). Its very easy to maintain your laptop functionalities all you have to do is act safely, avoid malwares, don't click on links, don't connect to the internet.

Question (3). Creat the transactions on you online account, transfer it to the offline account for signing, then transfer it back to the online account for broadcasting.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finally got my boss to pay me in Bitcoin on: December 19, 2022, 09:40:46 PM

but are you sure that your boss won't blame you if the bitcoin price continues to decline, because many people always blame other people who invite them, especially in this crypto world. don't forget to remind your boss that investing in crypto has a big risk but the return is also big.
I tried as much as I could to let them know about how volatile the market is, and after experiencing it myself I think my loss story was a good example for them to understand, I also talked on privacy and other uses of Bitcoin and my boss was amazed as to the privacy Bitcoin has compared to how he was transacting. Also I put a disclaimer and I wasn't giving away any financial advice.

Well this is my side Job but it's all I have now I also do some other job too but it has it's period, I don't know what the future holds but I am taking it one step at a time, I would really want to save the Bitcoin I get from there but in case of personal needs I would touch it, but for now am very glad he agreed to pay in Bitcoin, not many employers where I am from would agree.

Getting paid in your preferred currency (bitcoin) seems a great feeling to you so congrats. My question is are you paid in dollar equivalent of Btc or the payment is an greed Btc. My advice is since this is your only major source of income at the moment and you will need some to pay bills it will be better to set side the amount yoh wish to save every pay time and then convert the rest to either stable coins or Fiat for daily use. Although we will wish to have everything in Bitcoin but its volatility won't allow that now. Also when you have some spend able amounts in fiat it gives the freedom to hodl for long.

Yes I am actually paid the Dollar equivalent of my salary in Bitcoin and I know about the volatility, I plan to split it into two ways then save some in Bitcoin the other half for miscellaneous stuff.

I think time would tell and hopefully it works, I am mostly excited not only about the pay but that I have reached out to those in my work place about Bitcoin.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finally got my boss to pay me in Bitcoin on: December 19, 2022, 07:11:17 PM

Well, congrats! Is this payment for the side job or for the main job?
I'm asking because for the side job it's just the perfect way to do it (imho), but for the main job, getting the full pay in bitcoin is a bit risky unless you can live from other funds and keep the bitcoins untouched for a couple of years.
However, interesting move!

Hello everyone I am very excited today as finally my boss has agreed to pay in Bitcoin. After losing at my first attempt in Cryptocurrency as I thought that wealth falls like rain here I was brought back to reality with losses I got a little job on the side although a small amount paying job I think it is okay for me and I can get back on my feet.

Ever since I started working I have always been talking to my boss and coworkers about Cryptocurrency and after persisting they started to give me listening ears, I made sure to also tell them my experience and made sure they got my picture.

Along the line my boss got very much interested in cryptocurrency especially in Bitcoin. Assisted him in creating his Bitcoin wallet and taught him all I could, it surprised me when he finally accepted to pay me in Bitcoin and has giving it as an option to other workers, it's a big joy for me and I believe they are also talking about cryptocurrency to their friends and family too, just got my first payment in Bitcoin this evening.
14  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 14, 2022, 08:56:18 AM
Boss just incase una still dey debate this matter see my bank don send me email and it's really disheartening how this people no dey even consider the common man

Na now I confirm say una get money for this country no be lie. If not how 100k weekly limitation go worry una. Me self I no deh do reach 100k weekly. Where the money even deh to withdraw self. How many people deh even earn up to that amount as salaries self for this country, even graduates? My concern na whether CBN and its partners go make the rule deh for everybody, no be only for the less privileged.
The truth be say even if the matter no concern you e definitely concern someone that is close to you my guy, wen we dey reason say some moves by the government no concern us na when them dey try dey do more.

In the pursuit for a better Nigeria we go gats dey selfless about the matter, I my self no get that kind money but there are some weeks like this way person fit use through me one run figures wey pass that amount.

Wetin I believe is that the country now they like kindergarten play ground them they focus on less important things we no go improve the economy like the new coloration of the naira because I no go call that one new design and now this one. Make them focus on things wey go at least give our currency value.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / first time using P2P on exchanges you may learn from this on: November 20, 2022, 09:43:29 AM
P2P is an abbreviation for peer to peer, it's a form of transactions between two people where comes to make mainly a Fiat to Cryptocurrency exchange or exchange of different Cryptocurrency.

P2P on exchanges has become popular especially in Cryptocurrency regulated countries. but there are risk in P2P more so if it's your first time.

Simple things to note for first timers P2P on exchanges

1. take enough of your time: when a transactions is made it becomes difficult to seek for medicine after death. avoid wrong transfers or transactions due to haste by taking your time to the fullest. check again multiple times

2. Use a renowned Exchange: there are many exchanges around but the one I am using is Binance I have performed P2P transactions with them and they all went through, verify the exchange you are using and making sure it's the official exchange you downloaded.

3. As a seller confirm your Credit alert properly: how it works on binance is that Binance act as an escrow and your coin you intend selling is with them and then they buyer makes a transfer. binance won't send your coin to the buyer unless you confirm to have received payment. fake credit alert exist so properly check the credit, I check my bank app rather than a text message alert.

4. don't keep your coin on the exchange when you not ready for transactions: don't procrastinate or be ignorant of sending your coin not in use to your personal wallet. you not the owner of the exchange so funds in it aren't completely yours.

I have lost in cryptocurrency and I am learning. lets (inexperienced ones) be willing to learn

18  Other / Beginners & Help / It's alright to lose and learn on: October 03, 2022, 09:32:48 AM
I recently posted an update about my bitter experience with cryptocurrency in over a year. I am not financially stable or okay yet but I am trying to build independence for myself, although I had read some theoretical approaches to things I went the wrong way and I paid the price in full.

I wasn't alone on the road to wasteful investment. I had friends who joined me or most likely encouraged me into it, but right now they are cursing cryptocurrency.

I may have lost much though but I had learned
1. How to control my emotions in cryptocurrency: before now I had issues with controlling my emotions generally and even though I had intelligence on certain things. My emotions becloud my sense of judgment. But after losing serially over one year in cryptocurrency I think that aspect is improved.

2. Letting people control you:  I have come to discover that there are so many different characters in cryptocurrency both online and offline(close to you) many of them with different schools of thought on investment, trading, and cryptocurrency in general, as a newbie I have learnt that you ought be careful on the knowledge you get feed. Many of which are wrong, unproven, and sent out by the sender based on what they were paid.

3. Throw in the towel on wrong approaches: I know many newbies are on the wrong path but are still very adamant about changing their ways. I had lost a lot but if I had remained in foolish stubbornness I would have lost more. So as newbies call it quit your wrong approach as soon as possible.

4. No shame in starting from scratch: using myself as an example I am starting fresh and going back to the very basics and I am not ashamed to admit that. The good news is that I am better experienced and more mature.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / My thoughts and now my experience. on: September 28, 2022, 03:28:52 PM
Hello everyone I joined this forum over a year now and I was very excited to join. I warmly by the forum members and I felt very welcomed. I had great ambition oh well I think my ambitions were overly much.

I had some thoughts about cryptocurrency and I thought they were enough for me to achieve all I had come here for.
I didn't spend much time and jumped into the crypto market and I guess it swallowed me. I ventured into investing, trading, schemes and everything that I thought would give me profits. How wrong I was, I made bad investments that were from my imagination that anything I touched in crypto would favour me all I had to do is buy a low and affordable coin and hold.

Long story short I have some coins in my possession that are dead and from reality now those coins won't rise again.

My thoughts and now my experience that newbies like I was can learn.

1. Emotions thoughts and feelings can hurt you if they were not researched.

2. You haven't learnt enough just yet. It's not wise to invest with your kindergarten knowledge, take time to on them first.

3. The news can be a disguised trap, I made many investments because I followed the news and what many people were doing, this is a foolish move.

4. Diversification that has no research behind it is foolish. I had thought that once you diversify you can do wrong, how wrong I was. You always have to diversify making use of research and don't be in a hurry to buy.

I have experienced the bitter side of Cryptocurrency and now I don't need someone to tell me that crypto can bite. Moving forward I would pay more attention to learning and asking questions too, all I can say to the newbies is that grow your brain before you try to grow your portfolio.
