Someone in this stream of messages is implying they are purposely delaying the release of the software. Do you really think that or are you a FUD'ster? The Maidsafe team is working on a releasing a network that is as close to flawless as possible. If people can't see that they aren't paying close enough attention or just attempting to create FUD because it's going to harm another project they are heavily invested in.
Also, Maidsafe did release software a couple of months ago, but because someone is threatened by the project someone created a script maliciously filled the test network full of junk data. The reason someone could fill the network full of junk wasn't an error with the network, but because it was a test network without all the intended features implemented.
Yes, it delayed the launch of the network, but it was actually a blessing in disguise because not only did they fix the issue that allowed someone to maliciously fill the network full of data, but also resolved some other minor issues. Filling the network full of data also allowed the team to see how the network functioned if something like this occurred and it worked flawlessly.
A new release has actually been put out and you can read about it here -
https://safenetforum.org/t/maidsafe-dev-update-july-13-2017-test-17/14769 People now have a live network to build sites and apps on to showcase what it can do. Someone just today posted a site that's basically a Soundcloud replacement(Soundcloud is also closing doing soon, great timing I'd say).
The project is extremely open and if you have any questions the developers will answer any questions you post on the forum. Good luck and don't miss this one!
