I have heard that Mourinho will make 6 million euros per year at Benfica. It like the half amount of the money he was making at Fenerbahce.  Tongue

He has really got used to getting sacked and getting lots of money in the meantime. I wonder whether it will happen again here this time...

We can’t tell if the Chosen One will face same fate here at Benfica but let’s see how well he will perform and improve Benfica. There seem to be a history between this two so let’s hope that connection could spark something beautiful and positive as he returns to the club.

Nowadays everyone wants to work in “tech” but they don’t know that tech is more than just coding or programming languages. Apart from cybersecurity and data analysis, there are other tech roles and skills you can learn that are easy like social media manager. I think this is one area of tech that’s not being explored well enough.

I saw a post on Facebook that Ruben Amorim has three matches to prove himself he's the right man to bring the long awaited change Manchester United fans has been waiting for and if he fails to achieve a reasonable point after Manchester United has played their next three matches, he will be at a risk losing his job. I am backing Manchester United board to sack Ruben Amorim if he fails to win two matches in Manchester United upcoming three matches because it is obvious he can not handle Manchester United.

If this is true then winning against Chelsea will be counted as first success with three left to go but I doubt Amorim will be able to achieve this seeing how difficult it has been for the club to achieve back to back premier league wins since May 2024. This is a tough task that Amorim might fail to pass seeing that their next two EPL games will be against Brentford and Sunderland two tough opponents to face this season, I really have doubts about this.

Brighton went 2-0 up very quickly, but it wasn’t enough for them.
Tottenham were the better side overall, played well, and managed to secure a point.

Wolverhampton lost 3-1 at home once again. They had more possession and created more shooting chances, but it didn’t stop them from losing.
Since the start of the season, Wolverhampton haven’t collected a single point in the league. They’ve lost all 5 matches and it looks like a managerial change is on the horizon.
It was shocking seeing Wolves lose by 3 goals to 1 on their home ground to newly promoted Leeds United. I bet no one saw this happening, disappointing performance for Wolves yesterday.
Brighton were very poor defensively to let a two-goal lead slip off their grasp against a top opponent, they have to do better cause I expected better from them.

A manager plays a big role in changing the performance of a club. Manchester United has been struggling for a few seasons and they have changed multiple managers in this period but even then Manchester United's performance has not changed. If they are asked how many managers they will actually change, I think they will answer like this, they will probably keep changing their managers until they return to consistent performance. In this way, instead of changing managers every season, Manchester United should first contact a good manager and accept all his conditions and hand over the responsibility of Manchester United to him. This will show that if he gets complete financial independence, maybe he will change the entire team and bring Manchester United back to good performance.
Getting a manager and handing over the responsibilities of the club to him will be a really difficult decision to make honestly if that was easy Manchester United would have done it a long time ago and not spend so much hiring and firing different managers in a few years. They went from Jose Mourinho - Ten Hag - Ruben Amorim in the space of 5 years and still there has been no improvement in the club.

I think Manchester United needs to change their whole strategy to get the best results. Because what they did till now is really not working in their favour. They strictly need to research their everything in the team. Because it is more important to find out the problem that which factors are causing them towards continuous failure. Until the identification of the problems it will not be easy for Manchester United to get the best place. Because they bought the best players in fact the expensive players but the results do not match with their expenses. The players performed well but when they were not in the Manchester United team. Or maybe they need someone who can make them able to get rid of their worst time. Or someone who truly knows how to expose the talent and skills of the players in the field.
That’s a good suggestion but I don’t think it’s going to happen because Ruben Amorim has repeatedly said he won’t change his philosophy and instead the club will have to change the manager instead so it is clear that they will be sticking to the current strategy so it is either they get it right with Amorim’s strategy or make it right by hiring a new manager.

Liverpool are not taking any chances with their title challenge this season, this is the kind of performance level needed to win the league title and Liverpool posses that quality, something I wish my club possess. Good win for Liverpool against a stubborn and defensive Everton.

What kind of a foul was that from Sanchez, since he knew Mbeumo was the last man he would have left him instead of fouling very early in the man to put all pressure on his side. Now Chelsea are one man down and all advantage is to Manchester United as they are a man up. Just that red card has changed the whole game plain for Chelsea as some players were removed in the process. If Manchester makes good use of this opportunity, it should be a win for them against Chelsea.
Sanchez clearly lost his head in the game, I’m sure everyone would have preferred if United got the goal and Chelsea still had all eleven men on the pitch to restart the game, they would have had a better chance to equalize and win the game but he went for the foolish option and cost his team the game.

Bayern munich had the better performance of the day against Chelsea, they were better organized in all positions especially in attack than Chelsea were and it gave them a convincing win over the overhyped club world cup champions. However despite the tight schedules for Bayern, Hoffenheim didn’t stand a chance against them in the weekend. Bayern Munich were still able to get a win with tired legs.

Don't ever compare Ronaldo and Messi physical ability, Messi has said on many occasions that he went to America to enjoy football not , he's not competing again, but Ronaldo is still playing in a competitive league scoring goals and assists. Ronaldo has more years to play, but as life is no one can predict the next day. Let's enjoy them as much as we can. What they have done in football are forever and when they both retired many people might lost interest in football, the banter and the fans are amazing.

It's nice that we're going to watch them play in their last world cup next year, I just hope they're all fit to play the tournament. In the same vein I wish Ronaldo win it this time, he has done a lot for football, and the Portugal team are all good to win the world cup.
Ronaldo and Messi have given their sweat and blood to this game in the long run, they have impacted the game and given us too much entertainment, the least we can do is appreciate them for every sweat they have given to entertain us. It will be sad to see them finally hanging the boots at some point in the career, I would have to enjoy the little time they have left to play and be grateful.

Only 18 minutes into the game and we already have a goal from the golden boy. Halland is quite an early starter of game and he's proven that severally. Look, I know we're expecting more goals in this game, but give yourself a second to think about how difficult it is to score a goal against another formidable premier League team, and you'll understand what just happened.

Man city have turned defensive right after that goal, but I don't think that's going to help them. Meanwhile, arsenal is not even able to find their rhythm to force a clear counter attack. Let's watch out for what's going to happen next!
When you play against a top attacking team like Manchester City with an attacking beast leading their attack you have to stay alert defensively and yesterday we lost focus and conceded that early goal by Haaland. The good thing is that the Gunners didn’t get frightened after conceding that goal and came all out to attack City forcing them to run back and defend. Thank God Arteta was able to correct his errors with good substitutions that brought about the equalizer is the final minutes if the game. Arteta needs to quit getting scared and start fielding the right starting eleven.

The match between Chelsea and Manchester United is always very tough, even tougher than the Manchester derby and both teams would want to win due to the strong rivalry between the two teams, but with the early red card given to Sanchez, Manchester United now have all the chance to dominate and win.

The pressure is currently on Chelsea and theyve given out many corner kicks to United if only they were a team that's good at converting their chances Manchester United would scored an early goal, it would be so shameful if they don't score any goal in the first half cause they have more advantage currently.
Congratulations to Amorim for getting his first win, he has two tough games against Brentford and Sunderland in the coming weeks but I don’t they will be able to win all three games. They were lucky enough to win against Chelsea because Sanchez decided to gift United a win at old trafford by conceding a careless red card in the first half of a top game like this.

After a high flying performance by Nottingham Forest last season, they seems to have lost their momentum to replicate their wonderful form last season as they had lost their past 2 recent games by conceding 3 goals in each match. Burnley does have a very strong home record in the past year, and I think Nottingham Forest might find it tough to beat Burnely with their poor current form at the moment. I guess both of these teams will share to gain a point each at the end of the match.
I always knew it will be difficult for Nottingham Forest to replicate their top level performance from last season in this current season, well it just clearly shows why they are called smaller clubs despite their one season wonders they put up sometimes.
Again Burnley continue to heap their good home record as they were able to hold Forest down to a 1:1 draw after full time just as you predicted.

Barcelona Football Club is currently aiming for success in the Champions League, for which they are taking an important step as they are already close to renewing Frenkie De Jong. We see that Barcelona sporting director Deco has expressed optimism about the player's contract, in fact the Catalan club may have realized the importance of this Dutch midfielder in the current era, which is why they are now taking on new initiatives. However it is largely true that the new additions to the team, Rashford and Rooney Bardghji, have already begun to show Versatile talent, Of these two players, the former Man United player recently scored two winning goals against Newcastle Football Club in a UCL match.

Manchester United have always expressed their desire to retain the Dutch midfielder at the club. I remember when Manchester United and other clubs were constantly trying to make a deal work to get De Jong but Barcelona held back from letting him go so it is not something new, it will be nice to finally secure his signature to a new contract retaining him at the club, I’m sure the supporters will love that news.

We saw match between Bournemouth football team and Newcastle United  football team and match was ended with draw result because no team could do any goal in this match. The shots of Bournemouth football team were more in this match and these were 11 and 2 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was excellent in this match which was 57 percent. The shots of Newcastle United  football team were less in this match and these were 4 and only 1 shot was on target . The possession percentage of that team was low in this match and that was 43 percent in this match. The passes of that team were also less in this match and we saw brilliant game between these two teams.
Bournemouth have constantly been a threat in the premier league this season even to the best teams in the league. Facing Newcastle that have not been at their best this season was an opportunity to get a win at home so this statistics were expected. I feel Newcastle were lucky not to have conceded a goal in the match because it would have been the only goal until ninety minutes however it wasn’t a bad result to share points against Newcastle United because obviously you cannot compare both sides in terms of squad quality.

Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has signed a new five-year contract, which includes an option for a further 12 months.

This is good news for every Wolves supporter and the club to have secured one of their top talents to a new five-year deal at the club. Larsen who has scored 16 times since joining the club in 2024, now he has the opportunity to keep representing the club and scoring more goals for his team.

Rather than Sanchez, the red card and first goal was Chalobah's fault.
Rather than Sanchez and Chalobah. The goal stems from the poor decision of the coach on substitute to bring on. The team is made up of only defenders now. Like who plays football with 8 defenders, 1 attacker and 1 goalkeeper. There was clearly no one from the Chelsea wing to push attacks which gave Manchester United the opportunity to press very hard and get a goal.
Yeah, it's hard to deny how poor Maresca's subs. Replacing all of his wingers with their defenders are just giving his opponent a way to pressure them even harder. I know he wanted his team to get draw, but it's not worked. Even with so many defenders, his team still conceded two, which is showing how his team's backline is the problem.
The subs he made after conceding a red card early in the game was shocking though I expected after taking off their number nine he would have probably brought in one more midfielder to balance them leaving one of his attackers up front incase if counter attacks but he clearly switched to a complete defensive strategy which eventually didn’t work for them.

Only the NFF know the reason why they gave the super eagles job to Eric Chelle and from the beginning of the recruitment process that brought this coach in I personally know that there was going to be problems, because the process was not transparent because this coach was clearly handpicked by some poor full members of the NFF because there were other better qualified coaches that applied for this job.
I am already fed up with the NFF not getting better and not having the federation at heart and taking us downhill. Series of complains and suggestions have continually been made and all ignored while we still suffer decline. At this point it seems only God will have to intervene for this country.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 22, 2025, 10:48:11 AM
With the excitement of the UCL over, let's welcome Week 5 of La Liga, starting with the opening match between Real Betis and Real Sociedad.

The odds are very tempting, right? It's quite difficult to make the right choice, considering both teams poor performances in La Liga so far, Betis has only won once, with the rest mostly being draws, while Sociedad results are even worse, however I see Betis as having the potential to win, now that Antony is back in the team.
Real Betis were off to a good start in the first game of week five with a good win, taking all three points and recording their third win in six games for the season. This is a good way to return from previous 2:2 draw with Levante, everyone who trusted Betis to win at home will be happy they did, however Anthony was so impressive in their last champions game recording four shots and 100% successful dribbles, I am sure he is loving life at Betis.
