1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BankNote (BN) - ANN - 30b coins - 5 % Staking - Fast Confirmation - Multipool! on: June 03, 2014, 09:43:45 AM
why no dedicated pools??
The multipool is operating at http://multipool.banknotecrypto.com.  Some more hashpower would really help out the cause.  We saw a small temporary rise in hash last night, but it would be great to see much much more.  The more hashpower we can get, the more blocks we will hit and be able to bring some real buy pressure in!

The Bank Note multipool that we are operating for this coin at http://multipool.banknotecrypto.com did its first round of payouts today.  We are still waiting for a deposit on one coin that was being mined so there will be a little more coming out for those on the Scrypt port.

The multipool will be a lot more effective with more hashpower, at the moment all ports have a modest amount of hash running on them, which of course makes it more challenging to hit blocks and optimize profitability.

We have decided to run a promotion for the next week through Sunday June 8th at midnight GMT.  There is 300M BN up for grabs in the bonus pool if the following hashrate targets are met and sustained between now and 6/8 12:00AM GMT:

Scrypt:2 Gh/s+100M BN distributed to miners
X11:1 Gh/s+100M BN distributed to miners
SHA:3 Th/s+100M BN distributed to miners

The additional 300M will be distributed proportionally based on your submitted valid shares.

THATS MY POINT YOU CAN"T REGISTER WITH EITHER POOL.
COMPLETE BULLSHIT, THIS WILL BE INSTAMINED BY THE DEVS
THAT ARE THE ONLY F#CKING PEOPLE WHO CAN REGISTER.
EITHER LET US REGISTER, RELEASE THE WALLET NOW,
OR LET YOUR RETARTED POOLS AND COIN DIE BEFORE LAUNCH!

F#CKING AMATEURS!

From what the pool guys were saying earlier, this isn't a dev or pool issue, it's part of the new MPOS update.

But I agree this will result in pool ops being able to instamine the shit out of coins whilst everyone who isn't solo mining will be frantically rushing to sign up.

If any of the pools require email verification you're f**ked.
The address verification thing is a new MPOS feature.  Nobody's gonna be instamining anything, we will be busy enough getting the pool opened and keeping everyone running along let alone trying to mine.  For pools, the address requirement is a good feature, because otherwise we get a lot of people who for some reason never bother to set their payout address, and we have to go chasing people down to claim their coins.  With 50 blocks of 1 coin each it should alleviate the rush to get in on the first few blocks.

There's four pools now, ours and three others including suprnova, best to spread the hash around to all of them.

What is the RPC port for the wallet.

Posted a few pages ago

RPC port can be whatever you want, its the port your machine will use to connect to the wallet - so just pick an open port on your network and keep it consistent. I use the same config for all new launches, just change the addnodes. Solomining mindblown, eh? Smiley

How do I find it if I am a complete noob?
It is usually displayed in the help message if the dev updated it, or you can check the source code, bitcoinrpc.cpp.

But I always define my own using rpcport= in the .conf file, so I can keep them all organized and not go chasing down the info.

http://cloak.shockpools.com

VarDiff, PROP payout system, 2% fee

ShockPools will open for registration as soon as the wallet source is available and compiled.  What cloudminers mentioned is correct, the address validation is a new feature in MPOS, and much needed IMHO.  Otherwise people do forget to set their payout address and we have to chase them down to get their coins.

Stratum:
stratum+tcp://cloak.shockpools.com:7077

Remember to spread/balance your hash around to all of the different pools supporting this coin launch.
