1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: September 03, 2014, 10:05:37 PM
if anyone wants a license, I have a "Simple License" I'm willing to sell for 0.3 BTC if anyone wants it. I just don't have the time to get it working properly!

If anyone wants it, let me know and I'll contact the guys to transfer the ownership.

Thanks

So! after running my miners in my loft for the past 3 days. They're both steady - one at 212.5 hashing at 430 and one at 250 hashing at 490. My main concern about them being in the loft was the temperatures. The loft gets to around 40c in the day time with both of them whirling away - both of my S3's sit at around 48-50c during this period and seem happy! no x on my chips, straight o's throughout!

Here's my McGuyver setup in my loft! lol

Mine are running in a 30c ambient temp room! temps are not above 45c for the units! The miners can run up to 80c - not that you want them to run up that high!!

One of my S3's overclocks like a beast!

The other sadly doesn't suffer the same fate! it's hashing at 430 at 218, any higher and the rate drops!

Make sure to keep that beast cool (sub 35C pref), they really don't like getting warm when you run them at 237/250MHz (hash rate starts dropping and you might get and x or two after 10h+ of running)

Unfortunately I cannot get them running much lower temps! they run at 40/42 at stock! it's due to the room temp that I can't get them lower! here is an updated pic of how they look after running overnight!

Still going strong

Here are my 2 hashing away!

both are sitting around mid 40's in 30c room! not as bad as I first thought!

One is better than the other!

I've OC'd this one, it ran at 420avg at 218 but 461avg at 237!

The other is still pretty good! runs at 420 at 218 but doesn't OC well and only hits 430 when OC'd to 237!

Both units are quite loud due to the fans trying to keep them warm in the ambient temps but it's not unbearable! units themselves don't feel hot and the cables aren't even slightly warm to touch!

Thanks Junkbarman, I think my miners will be running around 50 with the heat in the room. I read in the manual that the miners will shut of off at 80, so here's hoping that 80 is the max temp and I shouldn't be hitting that!!
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 20, 2014, 02:59:33 PM
Do you guys know the safe operating temperature of an S3? my miners will be running in a room that's about 30c / 86f all year round! I can't do much else about the heat :-(
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 19, 2014, 07:34:00 PM
It's quite depressing having a B1 order with tracking saying it'll deliver later than some B2's :-(

17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 16, 2014, 08:36:23 PM
The fans are 140mm

BITMAIN say this "Fans: Two 14038 fans mounted on both front and back ends."

That means 140mm wide by 38mm thick :-)

19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: June 05, 2014, 07:27:00 AM
Hi Guys,

I wonder if you can help me, I'm fairly new to the bot and I'm just playing around with low value trades at the moment. I've got a problem at the moment whereby I've setup a very basic bot with 1 trade indicator,   no safeties or insurances. The bot is activated, my bot can see by BTC balance in Crypty, the trade signal current says "Buy" but my bot signal still says "Stay" - what could be causing this? It's driving me crazy!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ravs
