Hey guys, lets talk a bit about future HIV/AIDS Charitable Organizations. I found it is quite not easy to choose organisations to support, and now I completely sure that we have to make a vote to chose organisations to support.

I wrote down some thoughts in small survey of topic, and ivnite you to discuss and to reveal your thoughts about theme: HIV and AIDS issues: An Overview of Major Charitable Organizations
5  Other / Politics & Society / HIV and AIDS issues: An Overview of Major Charitable Organizations on: November 18, 2021, 06:49:41 AM
When I launched my project, one of my primary goals was to support some charity organizations. Especially some "tabooed" themes-related. So here is time to dive deeper into the current state of HIV and AIDS Major Charitable Organizations.

Why is donation significant?

HIV has become one of the most dangerous diseases of the late twentieth century, and the problem cannot be solved today. For the first time, scientists started talking about the disease in 1983; after a few years, HIV was diagnosed in millions of people worldwide. Among the celebrities who died due to Human Immunodeficiency Virus are the great musician Freddie Mercury (lead singer of the Queen group), ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev, a heavyweight boxer who starred in the movie "Rocky 5" Tommy Morrison, and many others.

VIS and AIDS have claimed the lives of millions of people worldwide, especially in developing countries, where life expectancy is only 35 years.

For a long time, it was not accepted in society to talk about such a disease, which led to new and new infections. In addition, finding an effective drug that can destroy the virus does not exist today. Three cases of complete cure of people were recorded, but scientists still have not figured out how this became possible. Nevertheless, therapy has been developed today to allow people with HIV to live normal lives and, most importantly, not spread the infection. They are able to have a sex life without fear of infecting a partner, having children, and they will be born entirely healthy, work in an office and not be afraid of condemnation from the collective.

So, if all sick people take medicine, then the epidemic can be stopped. Unfortunately, the cost of such treatment is quite expensive, and you need to take medication regularly. In developed countries, government programs allocate funds for such needs, but people do not have the opportunity to get medicines in developing countries. In this case, charitable organizations come to the rescue. Investing in such projects will save the lives of many people and stop the spread of the disease.

FAPP team is not indifferent to the problems of people with HIV diseases and wants their help. To make sure the money goes back on track, it is good to partner with international charities.

Top 5 best charities

Today, quite a few international organizations deal with HIV and AIDS issues, so it is pretty difficult to identify which one to invest in. 5 most authoritative ones definitely deserve attention:

  • AIDS United;
  • AmfAR;
  • Elton John AIDS Foundation
  • Keep a Child Alive;
  • Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Each of them has quite a lot of experience and has achieved a lot. Millions of users around the world trust them.

AIDS United

AIDS United emerged in 2010 through the Washington, D.C.-based National AIDS Fund and the AIDS Action advocacy group. Both organizations were founded in the 1980s when there was a massive crisis in the United States. The merger of such giants has made it possible to achieve great results. Today they help more than 300 smaller charities to help people living with HIV comprehensively. Thus, they invest in the development of drugs and protect human rights and defend the interests of HIV-infected people at different levels in the United States and other countries.

AmfAR

AmfAR is a research organization that develops drugs for the fight against HIV and AIDS. It was founded in 1985 and, over the years of work, has organized around itself the largest centers for the study of this disease. All efforts of the center are aimed at studying the virus and developing an effective drug.

Elton John AIDS Foundation

Elton John is a great musician, and he was struck by the death of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, so he created his charitable foundation to fight AIDS and protect HIV-infected people. Now the organization works in 55 countries and shows excellent results. It is important to note that this fund deals with rare issues, such as helping to regulate HIV legislation.

Keep a child alive

The Keep a Child Alive Charitable Foundation diagnoses and treats HIV-positive children and their families in countries such as Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, and India. These are the oddities where the disease rate among children remains consistently high. Charitable programs should not only provide the necessary medicines but also be educational.

Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is one of the most famous and influential organizations. It focuses on the protection and prevention of disease among at-risk women and children in various developing countries. The foundation was founded in 1988 and, during its existence, has helped millions of HIV-infected women give birth to perfectly healthy children. The foundation pays excellent attention to enlightenment work.

Conclusion & Questions

Well, the issue of supporting HIV/AIDS charitable organizations is much more complicated than I've had thought earlier. There is a lot to work through before I feel confident in the area. But, I believe this first knowledge of these several organizations and the start of communication and donation to them is the good first step.

What do you think of HIV/AIDS issue? Do you think society currently supports the people with problems enough? What do you think we have to do to increase the level of support? Do you think this is an essential case at all?

I'd love to understand all the opinions, to get out of the box of my inner thoughts and illusions.

What's the FAPP token address?

We have a testnet contract right now, we’ll publish the mainnet one this week.

I personally don't worry about the subject matter, and I think it's funny, not vulgar. But I'm worried that the team that launched this product is very recent. Last year I already invested in young developers and got caught by scammers. Now I work only with trusted companies. What do you think, is it worth trusting such projects?

Personally, for me, I'd trust myself ofc, but it might be somehow related that I have known myself for a while Smiley) Well, your interests and assets security are provided by Etherium network mostly, so there is almost nothing to worry.

Yeah, that's true that whenever we talk about trust - there is not only smart contract structure and tech-assets safety issue. There is also a question "if the prject team will keep moving through roadmap, so the collection will be popular enough to ensure price growth in the future". Well, this is quite transparent. Of course if we see a success of presales we gonna invest more in new collections and advertising because there in my (and my team) interest - is to keep making new collections and keep making old collections more popular, due to 7% royalty thing inside.

So your interests are looking in the same direction as my team and mine - this is probably the most remarkable thing about co-trust in such type projects, IMO.

[NSFW links warning] Some links could be inapropriate for usage at work (no porn/photos etc, but some provocative phalasuses arts inside links below)

Many NFTs are released every day. Among the hot new products at the end of November is the FAPP collection featuring phalluses. It will be possible to mint our Mint-pass already on November 23 and to mint our Phalluses on November 31

How did the idea come about?

At first glance, the idea of drawing an NFT depicting phalluses seems unusual. We, the project's founders, want to cheer you up and light up a few critical issues, such as body positivity among men and the problem of HIV disease in developing countries.

Many men are afraid to admit their problems and are ashamed of their bodies. FAPP is a project that will teach you to laugh at yourself, accept yourself with all your peculiarities, and love your body.

10% of the profits will be donated to HIV charities. It will help many people around the world to live ordinary lives and feel better.

What has already been done, and what are the plans for the future?

As part of the FAPP project, the artist created 175 hand-drawn traits for phalluses, which were then digitized and turned into 8888 NFTs. Then the developers created a project site based on Web3 familyphallusplanet.com. Then, in developing NFT, the developers created our smart contract, making the sale of tokens as safe and reliable as possible.

The cost of each Phallus in the primary market will be 0.08 ETH. In the future, each collector will be able to resell them at the price that he considers necessary. 7% of every transaction in the secondary market will go to the project's liquidity pool. We plan to develop the project at these expenses, invest in charity, and green the planet.

We want to develop and release new collections in more complex forms of digital art. Each collector will have the right to vote and influence the further development of the project.

If you're interested and want to have more information about our roadmap, check this article: The FAPP Roadmap

Here you'll find a short video-explainer (Youtube): The Next 100x NFT Collection Called FAPP (Familly Phallus Planet) and some key links below:

Here you will find not only examples of tokens but also more information about tokenomics and plans for the future.

Our mint-pass will go on sale on November 23. The creators promise that the owners of the first collection will be able to receive the following privileges:

  • Receive for free one NFT from the following collection;
  • Receive an additional item available only to you;
  • There is a vote during the voting on the choice of a charitable organization;
  • When buying a token on the primary market, the cost is several times less than the secondary, which means you can make good money.

The excitement around the collection is quite considerable, so we believe that it will cost several times more than on the day of release after a while.

I'd love to answer any further questions.
