Titcoin *rolls eyes*. Who the fuck is actually going to use that? What's the point? If anything is going to be adopted by the adult industry it will just be bitcoin. All most alts have is a gimmicky name trying to cash in on a niche but what self respecting individual would even hold any titcoin in the first place?

I have considered telling my family and some of my friends about Bitcoin but whenever I've tried, they fail to understand why it does have value and why it is extremely important specially in the current socioeconomic context.. they don't get it and see it as something really strange. Needless to say I wouldn't tell them to put any money on it. In a way it feels like im keeping something amazing to myself, but at the same time, I don't want to put people into the pressure of holding through rallies long term because most people aren't cut for that.
How to introduce Bitcoin to absolutely clueless people and is there even a point? Should we just let time pass and wait for them to naturally learn about it once it goes more mainstream?
No it's not a waste of time even if they don't care for it or believe it has value. It still gets bitcoin into th heads and when they hear more about it or start seeing it being adopted they might take more care. Don't stop telling people about it because we still need to spread the word even if people don't care for it now they might in the future.

I disagree with how he expressed his opinion (doing an attack) about the whole Bitcoin getting centralized but I do agree to some extent that he is right, maybe right now it's not the case but in future the bigger pools will completely take control of the mining operation and then they'll make their own rules and that will again result in a non trustworthy blockchain and maybe these stress test are done by them to increase the miner's fee. I don't think this is how Satoshi envisioned the mining to be, I think it was meant to be completely decentralized and people mining from different parts of the world and not just from few mining farms.
It would have been better if mining would be non-profit in any other any way than just the sheer joy of running your own decentralised mining rig in your basement, as a hobby and as a means to keep the blockchain alive. You could make it break even, so no profit, but no loss, but it is still the market at work here. I think most things would be better off as non-profit but money makes the world go round not altruism. It really wouldn't be feasible for people to mine for free currently just as it wouldn't be feasible for all doctors and fire fighters around the world to work for free as great as that would be. People need money at the end of the day and most people cant afford to work for free.

Where is the mail server, which hosting for this domains? what is guarantee that you not turn off your mail server for 1.fo or w.fo domains? after 6 months or year..
Yeah they're cool and all but I wouldn't really trust them. I think I would prefer slightly longer ones too. Most people wont believe you if you gave them one of these addresses as your contact info .

Now & After 6 years from the creation of Bitcoin by Satoshi Nakamoto , what's the worst case scenario that could happen to Bitcoin and make it dissapear once for all in your opinion , personally I guess it will be little bit hard to get 3 billion USD market-cap business destroyed just like that .
The worst case scenario is that bitcoin falls to such a low price that mining becomes unprofitable and the miners pack up. That would be the only death blow really. Even if bitcoin doesnt go fully mainstream I think it will survive as an alternative payment system even if the only thing people are buying with it are drugs.

The forum makes a reasonable amount of money per month via banner ads
Can you tell me what that reasonable amount is? And what price range are you talking?

Hi,
I couldn't find any way to report something like this. Who do I PM if I suspect someone of having multiple accounts or trying to scam members?
I have reason to believe that someone has 2 accounts (I linked his skype to his paypal email). I haven't made any deals with him/her, but received 2 PMs and there are signs...
Anyway, let me know.
Thanks!
Have you tried to PM the forum moderator? perhaps that would help. Mods usually don't get involved with these things. You can open a scam accusation with your evidence of suspicions and if legit the community will likely negfuck them.

Mainstream media is completely ignoring this controversy even though it is a much more important debate than block size, and a juicy story. Probably due to a combination of ignorance and also because it'll reveal their previous round of panic inducing articles are way off mark.
I've seen it mentioned a few times, though most people in the mainstream wont care about it or even care about bitcoin and like you say its not exactly an exciting story.

Theres several questions, like what Im about ask very common.
1. Can you verify the address on the account with a signed old address 2. Are all security questions are blank and resetted.
1 He has stated a signed message is available. 2 This is what the escrow does and is why you should use one. People can still reclaim the accounts by contacting the mods though.

I think eventually most centralized programs like skype will get overtaken by open source and decentralized ones. Spying and security will be a big issue and we all know companies like skype etc work hand in hand with the nsa and this will come back to haunt them at some point.

I am not an expert i dont know much why a crypto currency go up or down
any expert opinion is there any chance doge coin can ever reach 1$ or 0.50$ each Doge ?
Lol no. Haven't seen one of these threads in a while. There is just far too many doges for it to ever be worth something like this. Maybe if everybody in the world adopted doge but that's not going to happen.

Bitcoin is NOT a currency!
In it's simplest form it is just payment rails. Stop thinking about is as currency and what is left to regulate?
No, it is a currency, but it's also a payment system. You can't have one without the other with bitcoin but that's what makes it special.

Yes mining will stop one day but we'll all be dead so it doesn't matter. I don't think anything has been decided on the blocks yet but they will need to be enlarged at some point for sure.

So let me get this right? Are they proposing to actually steal from peoples savings to pay off their debts? Why don't they just print more fake money like the usually do?

Lending can be profitable if you do a simple check of the user and check out trust and posting history. The risk can be minimial but it would depend on how thoroughly you check. However, the lending industry in this forum is pretty competitive as users are starting to offer non collateral non interest loan.
And those are the people that will get scammed eventually. I think a lot of users just take loans out for the feedback and then to scam at a later point.

Thank you for welcoming me possum577. Yes https://freebitco.in/ is the highest faucet i seen after going to many. They payout depend on bitcoin price and movement. I also like their lottery mode. I buy some tickets this week. let see if i can win any this week. I know signature campaign salary for newbie is low. So i say i wish to become member soon. After coming here for 15 minutes i feel that this is a good place. I also got a free party domain just now. A guy gave me the coupon in a thread. I am liking this place. you can earn 4k satoshi per hours with alien faucets, much better, but you need to resolve captcha every 10 min, a bit annoying still it is better to focus on signature campaign, for a good earning, the rest is just not worth it, maybe trading if you are good at TA Can you tell me more about this? Is it as simple as filling in a captcha every hour for 4k satoshis? How much do you need to earn before you can withdraw. I went to the site but it says you need a valid email. Don't want to sign up if its not worth the time.

Just heard about this XT split yesterday. If that means it will cut bitcoin's value in half then the bell tolls.
Don't listen to the trolls spreading fud. Bitcoin isn't going to split into two different currencies. They're just trying to spread fear uncertainty and doubt and it looks like its partially working.

I agree that Bitcoin is too complicated at the moment. Thats one of the reasons I somewhat resent those who are pushing for mass adoption. Sure it helps the value of the currency, but the stakes are higher than just your Bitcoin's value. Cryptocurrencies as a whole are a new concept. The distributed consensus model could be the solution to so many issues with the internet in general. All it would take is pushing one large company to use Bitcoin prematurely before foolproof and easy safety measures are in place, and Cyptocurrencies as a whole are sunk.
We get one chance at this. If Bitcoin is pushed down the public's throat before people are ready to try it on their own terms, one catastrophic security flaw, and there wont be another chance at adoption for anything Cryptocurrency. I think we are moving in the right direction, but it has to be just as easy to secure your Bitcoins as you can your cash or assets before everyone is ready to give it a try.
I don't think it's too complicated. I think bitcoin is actually pretty simple to use especially with a blockchain.info app which is just like paypal app in my opinion. I think bitcoin will only get easier to use over time too. I do think that maybe the public or most merchants aren't ready for it yet or have no real desire or need to use it over conventional means but it will take a 2-3 years to get them on board so it will be a slow progress any way and by that time maybe wallets will be even more user friendly.
