1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Gold Silver Bitcoin on: September 09, 2014, 06:55:00 AM
I have used Gold Silver Bitcoin on numerous occasions and it's always been a) easy b) transparent c) quick. I've spoken with a couple of people working there, a young man and a woman, and both have been very nice. Their prices are about the same as the others in the space like Agora and Amagi and I enjoy the blog.  I will be doing business with them soon and will let y'all know how that goes.
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help fund the Blockchain Valley (Bitcoin Kinetics) via BTCJam on: September 03, 2014, 12:39:12 AM
Its understandable.  If you are in bitcoin you are already a badass for bucking for a better system, some people are more badass than others, and with Bitcoin Kinetics its a vision that he has that aligns with most of our goals.  He has the technical capabilities to create something that will add a lot of value to all of our coins.  It really isn't that much from a crowd funding perspective when you look at it that way.  Im sure we have all been frustrated when we can see smell and taste something that we can do but just dont have the resources.  We have all been there if you are a creator.  When Bitcoin Kinetics completes this deal I will volunteer as much time as I can personally to see this great project through.  I put my coin where my mouth is....too bad btc is so low or I would have taken care of this myself.  This is truly one of the few non redundant projects going now for cryptos as a whole, and I really feel this can put a new face on bitcoin that will demystify the public's image of bitcoin, since people can use it easily on the ground level......but that is just my opinion.

BTC Is not low. It's at $500 fucking dollars...
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Shrem Pleads Guilty - What do you think? on: September 02, 2014, 09:27:52 PM
I think he did what he had to do.
4  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Want to own part of a Bitcoin Corporations Headquarters? on: September 02, 2014, 08:50:30 PM

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the Free market has failed Bitcoin needs a Central authority and Global ID. on: September 02, 2014, 08:02:12 PM

6  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Want to own part of a Bitcoin Corporations Headquarters? on: September 02, 2014, 07:53:29 PM
Why should we trust you?

Where's the proof of this Paypal stealing $25,000 from you? The whole circumstances described below do not at all pass the "smell" test

https://cryptostocks.com/announcements/1377

You're asking for a lot of money, and the only thing I can find on you is that you IPO'd a Cryptostock, as a US Citizen, and things subsequently went south.

Why would you go and buy this building if you clearly have no way to pay for it?

What's the status of your BitSwitch order from Bitpay?

Where's the title paper, contracts, etc, and with and between whom are they contracted?

We are going to need A LOT more information to just fork over $30,000 to someone over the internet.

The plot thickens.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How superior btc is to credit cards on: September 02, 2014, 07:49:28 PM
Confirmations are an issue, but it is very clear that bitcoin is infinitely better than a bank account. Anybody who thinks that is secure is not paying attention. It is only insured because of our domineering global policy at least in the US.
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Want to own part of a Bitcoin Corporations Headquarters? on: September 02, 2014, 07:48:06 PM
Oh my gosh. Why didn't you tell us earlier!
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Schrodinger's cat" with bitcoins on: August 17, 2014, 04:39:17 AM
I think I am missing the point of this post. But if you did this, your own thoughts about the situation may ultimately determine whether the coins become yours or not so maybe the IRS will hold that against you.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: do bitcoin ATMs really suck this much? on: August 17, 2014, 03:25:53 AM
Genesis1 i tried did not required anything besides 20$ bills. It gave them and took them. Not issue.

I had a similar experience.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be use by future Mars Inhabitants? on: August 11, 2014, 08:42:33 PM
Seems as though bitcoin might be necessary on mars...

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Developer JGarzik reiterates, upgradable nature of bitcoin! Challenges Ethereum! on: July 25, 2014, 06:03:50 PM
Ethereum seems to be lacking some of the key aspects of bitcoin like for instance innate decentralization. Plus, Ether will always have to decrease in price in order to keep the system competitive.
14  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Common Law and Bitcoin on: July 21, 2014, 08:47:45 PM
Does "your honour, under common law this is so" ever work in a defendant's favor?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoins are not stolen .. on: July 21, 2014, 08:14:34 PM
Surely having to go to such lengths to protect your Bitcoin is only going to make it harder for mass adoption?

Quoted for truth

It is likely bitcoin in 10-20 years will look different than how it does today, possibly easier for "the mass" to adopt.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoins are not stolen .. on: July 21, 2014, 07:27:25 PM
Interesting and secure... you could teach classes on this...Bitcoin needs it.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Estimating the energy/power consumption of the Bitcoin Network on: July 21, 2014, 06:54:15 PM
Bitcoin will incentivize clean, renewable energy development. Bitcoin will incentivize higher efficiency electronic development. It will create jobs, clean the environment, and save all the babies, puppies, and rainbows!
You forgot unicorns.

How will bitcoin incentivize higher efficiency electronic development and unicorns? I think generally speaking many think bitcoin mining is quite dirty.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar coming to an end on: July 21, 2014, 06:40:19 PM
The dollar could not be world reserve currency between tomorrow and whenever, so maybe one day.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Israel Bitcoin Conference July 28-29, 2014 on: July 16, 2014, 08:44:43 PM
I wonder if Israel's policies will be similar to the US's.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the Future of Bitcoin ? on: July 16, 2014, 08:29:35 PM
I think that bitcoin is a part of the peer to peer revolution, so it is really a part of something larger than itself....
