1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Bitmain in Hong Kong NOT shipping replacement parts! on: February 19, 2022, 08:40:12 PM
Bitmain in Hong Kong is NOT shipping replacement parts!

I shipped a PSU to them over a month ago, and they still have not shipped the replacement even though they created a shipping label.

I contacted them, and they said they are receiving shipments but due to the pandemic they are NOT shipping anything back right now!

I'm glad I had purchased an extra PSU for my S19j Pro, because if I hadn't I'd have lost a ton of money.

I just want everyone to know what's going on..

2  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: bitcoin ASIC develop cost in 2022 on: December 31, 2021, 04:20:18 AM
I like this thinking.

Why are we relying on the Chinese to make these and then make a killing off them?

We should already have USA made miners! These machines don't cost that much to make, and they are very simple machines.

One thing to be said though is that we would need to create our own chip manufacturing as well as we don't want to again: rely on China for chips.

3  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Slush pool locked my account on: December 22, 2021, 08:18:53 PM
I have to say, this is shady.. Many people mine and then hold their coins for long periods of time because they know they will be more valuable in the future.

For Slush Pool to just close accounts based on time is complete crap, and it doesn't make any sense nor does it warrant closure other than a way to collect money.

I personally have been researching a lot of pools and where I should point my devices, and I have been considering Slush Pool as one of my top choices. This has me reconsidering.

Does this still work? Will it work on a S19J Pro?

Thanks Smiley

Just bought this new unit and got it end of last week. I've had it running for several day and I got an alert from my pool stating it was not working.

I had my girlfriend unplug it (it was running with fans on, but no heat), and re-plug it back in.. Started up and began producing heat and I checked the pool and it was back to hashing.

I checked the history log and this is what I found:

7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 PRO No HASH DOA ? on: December 08, 2021, 05:19:30 AM
Start from the top:

Did you wire the system? Are you sure you wired the 220v outlet properly? If you didn't use the proper breakers (one from each side of the panel) then it won't get you true 220v.

Did you remove the power supply and again try to power it up and use a voltmeter to test the output of each output on the PSU.

Start from the top.

How did your power supply blow?

I just received a new s19J pro and when I plugged it in, nothing happened. no noise, nothing. I purchased it on Amazon and the seller has been communicating with me about what I've done so far but I am super surprised that this unit came - totally new without a working PSU.

-Graham

Silly question, but you do have 220V or more where you are located right? It won't run on 110V

I wired it to be 220v, 20 amp per leg...

Thanks for your reply.
