1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EntropyCoin [ENC] Scrypt-N on: June 18, 2014, 08:29:28 PM
We have reached out to the community to ask for a list of features they would like to see implemented. The community, to this point, has had no suggestions. There was a major dump of coins when we hit mintpal. Those individuals cared more about a quick sell than the coin. Read the thread before claiming I'm not around. The same number of coins are in circulation, so there is a perfect opportunity for a pump. The coin is not dead, it is lacking a community. As I have said repeatedly, on a technical level the coin is fine. In fact, the coin is far superior to every scrypt clone out there since it is asic resistant. It is an opportunity to rally, pump the coin, and increase its value.

Hey there - I thought you had your own idea for a development?

I have a project I am working on that will be innovative and related to ENC. Until that is released, the same claim could be made about most coins. ...

Did you give up on this or were you just looking for additional suggestions?  If you're still working on it maybe you could give a high level general idea of what it is you're working on without giving out too much detail?

BenjaminFranklin, this thread has information about the fact that that particular blockchain explorer was incorrect. There are also postings from each of the pools that upgraded their wallets last week when the update went out. The pools that I know to be on the correct fork are BecausePool and 0feepool. But, you can check with the others as well to be sure.

Thanks.   I guess my research was pretty bad.  I'll check out this huge thread.

minep.it is mining on the wrong fork yet:
https://www.minep.it/pool/ENC/

And the net hash on the wrong fork  is 31 Mhs! So there are more people wasting time and money because of this not serious coin. I have lost 300 ENC because of that.

well that sucks ... My first shot at this appears to be a failure if that's true.   Do you mind explaining how you've identified this?

I have a project I am working on that will be innovative and related to ENC. Until that is released, the same claim could be made about most coins. This started as a scrypt coin and was upgraded to scrypt-n when it was determined that asics would be hitting the market. Also, openssl updated immediately. After including KGW, which was so innovative it had be replaced, I'm a bit hesitant to just go throwing new ideas into the code base.

If you have suggestions, I would be happy to entertain them.

Hey there - I'm a fairly new bitcoin enthusiast and am very excited about blockchain technologies.  I recently started checking out mining - partly for my own understanding.  After a little research I found myself mining ETC - partially because of this post.  For long time bitcoin folks it's probably nothing but for me I get a thrill out of watching my ETC balance go up using a mining pool.

Anyhow - I was wondering if you could, without giving too much away, expand a little bit in general terms on what you're developing.

Thanks!
