Do you ever expand and elaborate on your conclusions? I mean, it's one thing to explain your reasoning, and another to throw wild conspiracies simply by correlating time of updates and price movement etc. Your entry-level observations are good at deterring only the weakest of the weak, which will net you a handful of coins at best (if your intent is to shake weak hands, that is, but I think that's a bit too optimistic for a single cell creature such as yourself). Paired with your trading track record, what kind of an investor does that make you?

Considering how ambitious of a project this was from the get-go (or at least, seemingly), somebody who lost a considerable portion of their investment will tweak enough to track these people down IRL. You heard it here first.

Inb4 ninja launch with all of Cloak's alleged development copypasta'd into a brand new coin.

It's one of the only feasible options right now for the dev team -- pending they're actually serious about developing a solid anon system. Cloak has been dragged through the mud and lost it's market appeal because of threads and management like this.

There will be a new coin launch w/ all of these features completely rebranded. Mark my words.

Thing is, this kind of information is generally not delivered with such animosity and finger-pointing. Understandably, some people will be upset with their investments going where they hoped they wouldn't, but by calling bagholders and long-term investors "idiots" is not conducive to discussion and/or development, nor does it provide any actual support to the community.

Wake up, people. Trading is all about reverse psychology. Unless there is hard evidence to support that something should be deemed a "fail", "scam", or whatever you want to call it, smart investors leverage these times of despair while doing the EXACT OPPOSITE of what less experienced traders/long-term supporters are doing.

An update would be nice, though.

Scratch that, coins made it to the exchange but wallet reports 0 confirms still.

N00bish question here, guys.

I've been having sync problems w/ the newest client for a while now. After repeated installations, adding the CloakCoin.conf file, adding only .33 nodes, mixed nodes, you name it (basically I tried everything from different/same nodes to maxconnections etc. etc.), I seem to have a number of coins lost in limbo somewhere.

Before I send any coins to the exchanges, I send 1 CLOAK to test whether or not the transaction is successful. Most of the time this is true. However, I sent a significantly larger amount to one of my exchange wallets, and I still have no confirmations since early this morning. This happened before but I was able to restore my coins with the "repairwallet" command in the debug console, although this doesn't seem to be the case now.

Any advice?

Nobody's making money w/ Cloak anymore. Accept it, and use the lesson learned investing in another coin. You people have forgotten why crypto exists in the first place. There is no value in something you eye as a means to bump up your fiat. Cut your losses and move elsewhere, or actively support development and the philosophy the Cloak dev team has in mind.

This doesn't just concern Cloak or Bitcoin, but what'll happen to crypto if they're just regulated into oblivion? Are we just living on borrowed time?

I personally added all the nodes with SidneyReilly:0.7.7.33. Didn't even have to restart my wallet to download the entire block history, although admittedly it did take ~1 hour.
