1  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] Apple TV Disney Junior channel activation on: September 18, 2015, 01:53:26 PM
I'm not in the USA but have an Apple TV with Disney Junior channel that my kid would love to be able to watch.

It however requires activation with a participating TV provider in the US.

Can you help?

Will be willing to pay a fee for that, either one-time or monthly.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Shouldn't 51% attack really be >50% attack? on: July 02, 2012, 07:33:57 AM
Why is it commonly known as 51% attack when, as far as I know, you'll only need to have >50% of hashing power to successfully pull out the attack.

The term has bothered me quite a bit for awhile.
3  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Instant Bitcoin purchase service in Malaysia :: dgtmkt.com on: October 04, 2011, 11:11:01 AM
Thanks for setting up what seems to be a great service.
Is there a Malaysian forum of Bitcoin community site?
What can we do to help things along?

We should perhaps look into starting a Malaysian Bitcoin forum. Bitcoin is still very new in Malaysia.

Do you happen to be from Malaysia too?

I got introduced to bitcoin through betcoin (poker room), and then started reading up more about it, and then started mining, and the rest...

With the decreasing profitability of mining, college dorms remain the most sensible place to mine with free electricity. So, in a way, college is playing some role in the bitcoin revolution.

You can check out #bitcoin-otc (http://wiki.bitcoin-otc.com/wiki/Using_bitcoin-otc). There are some trades dealing with Paypal going on over there everyday.

I haven't used the config, but I believe it is for testing purpose, you can set the key higher to lower the difficulty.

I've made quite a few trades with Paypal (both selling and buying) on #bitcoin-otc. You might want to check it out.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we turn Bitcoin Mining around this summer? on: July 16, 2011, 02:56:55 AM
Those who have invested in rigs would not have them powered off even if they can cook a chicken in the house. I don't see difficulty dropping, but will anticipate a much slower rate of increase.

BTW, I'm mining near the equator. It's summer all year round here.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: July 15, 2011, 04:39:32 PM
Hello,

I have been trading bitcoin for a month now and have also built 2 linux-based rigs.

I'm a developer and am currently building some bitcion-related projects.

I have learned a lot from this forum and would love to contribute back by taking part in the discussions, helping some newbies and also ask some technical questions myself.

Hope I can get upgraded to a normal member soon.

Thanks.

I would like to see some more posts from you first. Reapply once you feel you have posted something that would qualify you for preemptive whitelisting.
