amazing, thanks! another quick one - I'm running it on an old linux machine that has only USB 2.0 - is there any difference in performance when using USB 2 vs USB 3 ?

As you are running 1 Compac F, get an active USB hub from Anker or Orico. If you intend to run more CompacF's in the future get the GekkoScience hub and a PCIe PSU.

Cooling is essential if you run the CompcF at higher clock rates. I have mounted a 12v Noctua fan on a 3D printed attachment to the heat sink.
In addition, I put an external fan on the hub to be on the safe side ...

got my Compac F today. I'm a newb so few questions - any recomendations for usb power and cooling setup? thanks
