I would not blindly trust any emails you get. Always confirm and message solely through the forum messaging service. Do not send btc to some random email address. Scammers are getting better at ripping people off. I would also only use escrow for such a large purchase. change settings or buy the copper membership so you can message and post freely do not send down payments, do not part with your btc so easily. Use trusted escrow like Mopar Mining... don't let scammers scam you, be cautious of anyone trying to do deals outside of the forum messaging.

Peel and sell the carcass. Minimal premium and not worth the risk. Peel it carefully and the peeled coin can be worth a decent amount
This is the answer unless you want cash. Then stacks or heritage is the answer and you may get just over btc value but pretty sure it’s paid in fiat (I don’t sell on auctions but so others are more knowledgeable in this area)
Lastly, nobody should ever send btc directly to this guy…. I’d only use vetted escrow like Mopar

If we're both in Vegas next year, I'll take care of the beer. Luckily Yoda drinks natty light

Premium over load value is so small on high load collectibles that the potential profits do not outweigh the risks - my opinion. If you want more btc instead of cash, wait until the bear market to sell as the btc amount you receive will be greater.
For instance - 1 btc CAS coin may bring 1.1 btc? 1.05? 1.02? In current market. What’s the point in selling now for btc?
Or peel and sell the carcass for .02btc and you are around the same amount of btc
Now if you are trying to sell for cash, that presents a whole other range of issues.

If you do decide to cut it out the key with an exacto knife, or some razor to keep the holo mostly in tact be really careful. I redeemed a cas a few years ago and cut part of the key text! luckily I was able to piece the letters together and redeem. You can kind of see the outline of where the indentation is for the key area, but its really hard to tell anyway best of luck to you if you do go this route there is a decent premium on them on ebay/stacks ect
How much could a 2011 Casascius error coin be worth, graded MS68 or MS67, with the hologram perfectly cut? prices are all ove the place buying here is a little different compared to the secondary market. The ones that were cut perfectly already go for 1-2k from what I have seen on the secondary market ebay ect. the 2011 error holo intact pretty much 2-3k I would say somewhere in that range, but I am no expert. I am basing it off what I have seen sell recently and over the past few months. I have a few myself I intend on keeping for a long time perfectly cut just seems like it’s enabling the counterfeit market or at least could be. Have you even seen what we are talking about? You can obviously tell they’ve been cut and address shows redeemed. Just makes for a cleaner cut holo. Here’s a random example on eBay if it links (not mine) : https://ebay.us/m/dsg6mE

Yes but I've been told my asking price of 1.5 btc is unrealistic, at least for selling through this forum as I'm told this is more of a wholesale marketplace. But if you're interested at 1.5 btc it is available.
Just peel it. You are not going to get anything close to your asking price unfortunately. p.s. don't get robbed by someone telling you that they will pay your asking price. edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5544959.msg65475453#msg65475453...and this has not been the only incident. Agreed! Also - don’t just peel it. Cut around the circular keys with a razor blade, keeping the holo looking clean. This will help bring a premium when you sell the redeemed coin

Isn’t this bid too late? “If within those 5 extended minutes, a new bid is made, 5 minutes will be added to the auction from the time of that bid PER LOT. “ Reads to me that this would’ve needed to be by 9:12:10 to be valid
