1  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NR 1] Triplemining.com <> BIG jackpot every week <> on: July 23, 2011, 07:05:20 AM
WAAAHHHH!!!!

I had moved 4 of my 5 miners off of mining over to another project.  I left the 1 mining since it's my slowest PC.  When I can home from work the power had glitched sometime during the day, so my mining PC had stopped.  After I restarted everything, I found out this had happened:

#137579 IMMATURE 50.034 July 23, 2011 1 hours 85091 Needs 93 confirmations
#137573 IMMATURE 50.07250178 July 23, 2011 19 hours 1173585 Needs 87 confirmations

I'll have to check after the confirmations are all in, but I think I didn't get any shares in the 1 hours block Embarrassed

I guess it's time to get a UPS....

Nothing here, what are you seeing ?
Actually, it looks OK from my end now.  I had one "Error 80072EFD:  A connection with the server could not be established" message, then nothing for 3 hours, then 2 shares accepted in the last 15 min.

I'm having connection issues. Anyone else?
Looks like something intermittent.  I've got 3 running miners running right now.  One hasn't had a share for 3 hours.  The other has had ~8 in the same time frame.  (Not sure about the other, it's downstairs.....)

Haven't figured out what to do with yet.  Still working on getting my first .01 BTC!

I'm a little irked I have to wait to jump into the forums, but I guess barriers to entry prevent morons from investing their time in trolling, eh?
No, it doesn't stop it.....just slows it down a bit.

I also had a flag from AVG.  This, though, was a flag for a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) raised on UfaSoft's bitcoin-miner.exe.  I'm assuming this was becuase of distribution by trojans dropping the miner on PCs to generate hashes for the distributer....

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: POLL: What's the *real* reason you ever got into Bitcoins? on: July 18, 2011, 02:53:05 AM
I got involved with BTC mining because I like to dabble in mathematical projects....

I've been with distributed.net almost since the beginning My team page is here: http://stats.distributed.net/team/tmsummary.php?project_id=8&team=10621.

I've also been involved with factoring large integers for ~3 years (http://www.mersenneforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=66)...

Hi all.  My name is Frank, and I'm a Bitcoiner.

I just found out about Bitcoin and have been mining for about a week.  (CPU pool mining only, but this might prompt me to get moving and upgrade to something with a little more horsepower......there are a couple of other things I could do use the GPU for and mine in between.)

Also, I blew it, I've already spent >4 hours here, but have only now registered Angry

(But I do totally understand the need to control the spam.  Cool )
