Are they kickstarting a documentary? This would be nice if they would have a big budget to work with and get the word out about bitcoin to the rest of the world.
Hi there, Ben from the documentary here, we plan to popularise and create Bitcoin awareness outside of the community. We have decided that a documentary format is the best way to do this. Here are some teaser videos for you guys, we have many interviews shot already, this is a taste of what is to come. http://theendofmoneyasweknowit.wordpress.com/2014/06/24/teaser-interview-videos/Thanks for any support, happy to take questions Ben

Hey ben, cool you're posting here, the hardest thing with bitcoin documentaries is probably to keep it up to date until it's released. recently i read an article that described my thoughts on the blockchain system in a similar way how i would tell friends about it. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/10881213/The-coming-digital-anarchy.htmlit's still hard to imagine in how many ways this technology could be used in the future. i'd love to see some approaches in your movie towards these ideas although some might still seem utopian atm. Thanks for that, looks like a good read, will pass it on to my colleagues too. You are right about the possible applications of the Bitcoin protocol and what new technologies could arise. We will certainly take a look into this, but as you said, it's important not to become outdated by focusing too much on the here and now. Cheers Ben

Just wanna ask, does the documentary also talks about the whole logic on Bitcoin? We would like people to watch the film, esp not Bitcoiners. And except from what is the history of Bitcoin, we need them to learn the full logic and sense of what Bitcoin is, how it works etc. So that it can suits Bitcoiner and other people who doesn't really know Bitcoin.
I believe Bitcoin: The End of Money as we know it. Does answer some of that need. The logic on bitcoin, the reasons for its inception, its function and necessity in the world. Its been in production for many months, the Kickstarter just launched though. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bitcointheendofmoney/bitcoin-the-end-of-money-as-we-know-itdescription sounds very good, esp. that they want to look above the money aspect and document the technology itself and its versatility Hi, Ben from the Bitcoin: The End Of Money As We Know It team. That's right, when we began this project it was because we wanted to create a documentary that was more analytical, balanced and investigative without alienating viewers who may not have a wealth of knowledge in technology and economics. The bigger picture of Bitcoin, especially in relation to the history of money, is the most exciting aspect for us. We find there is too much attention on the price and other peripheral discussion. We will have much to say on the full scope of Bitcoin and its impact on society. Happy to take any questions, comments and suggestions you may have. Ben

Hey there fellow Bitcoiners, I am part of the small team behind this project and we've noticed the popularity surrounding the $10 trillion Zimbabwean bill and $500 million Tesla bill has surpassed our expectations. We are now offering a new donation tier where we will make you a multi-trillionaire at the cost of a few mouse clicks. Our new pledge is appropriately titled the ‘ Big Bad Bailout Package’, it may not prove to kickstart the economy, but it can work for our documentary. And who among us wants to say they are a trillionaire? We think it’s pretty cool! All feedback is most welcome, how do you guys like the trailer? Anything specific you want to see in our documentary? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bitcointheendofmoney/bitcoin-the-end-of-money-as-we-know-itCheers, Ben
