1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Technology use in biohazard access restriction? on: March 04, 2015, 02:33:54 PM
Interesting concept, but I don't think any high secure facilities will be very keen to tie access control with decentralised blockchain (something they don't have control over). Maybe as an additional layer of security.

That's true, especially for the government institutions - I can't imagine decentralised security control in prison, for instance.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZiftrCOINs - what do you think? on: February 02, 2015, 07:12:02 AM
I'm having real problems with Ziftr. After buying some coins in the presale I wired money for payment, and it was never credited to my account. I had to e-mail three times to get a response, basically amounting to "we've had a lot of purchases, we're busy." Okay, but now it's over a week since I've wired the money, and since then their entire website has changed and there's no longer even a place to display a balance anymore to confirm whether or not you have one. I've e-mailed them about this but again am not getting a response.
I don't know if they're a scam, it's possible there are legit explanations for all this, but I'm getting skeptical.

tl;dr Ziftr will not credit my account with payment, and can't really give a satisfactory explanation as to why.

Sorry to hear that, my account was credited all right.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZiftrCOINs - what do you think? on: January 25, 2015, 03:54:35 PM
smells like scam

Could you elaborate on that?

I've invested some money and if you know something I don't - could you please share your thoughts?
5  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Compete to win Bitcoins and ZiftrCOINs on: January 23, 2015, 10:19:47 AM
Looks like the contest ends today.

I wonder if we'll see anything really interesting, not some obvious stuff.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZiftrCOINs - what do you think? on: January 23, 2015, 10:16:10 AM
The presale is about to end. I bought a few. What about you guys?

How long until you stop accepting applications?

Is it too late to enter?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vote for 2014 Bitcoin industry awards! on: December 26, 2014, 04:11:55 PM
For the biggest story i think it's between

Mtgox and Paypal.

Ok, but what about Microsoft?

Maybe Microsoft since it's such a big corp.

Dell is just a big I think.

What about the person of the year? I only know 3 of the 5 people.
Just read about Vitalik Buterin - he sounds really cool.

Roger Ver is really impressive. He's got my vote.

MonetaVerde has an unusual logo, like no else coins have. why was this design chosen?

I think it's connected with the name of the coin and it's general concept
How can MonetaVerde be associated with hammer and leaf? I don't get it
Everything is simple. Hammer is associated with mining. Leaf and green background plays with the concept of green coin
I've never analyzed this issue. Excellent smart design!

Hi guys! What coins do you find most perspective? Is MonetaVerde among them?

The future is for cryptocurrencies based on cryptonote technology. MCN is one of them.

I find MCN an outstanding coin. I think it will surpass many other cryptonote based coins

Interesting opinion. Can you explain it?

We are proud to list MonetaVerde on our exchange https://www.alt2bit.com and look forward to the growth of this coin and community.

Great news! That's a little step for us but still it's an important step forward.

 IMO , it's a great step forward as Alt2Bit is a good-working exchange .

There needs to be more emphasis on the fact that MCN is a GREEN COIN.

What exactly does this mean? Well, merged mining.

You can merge mine this coin along with any other cryptonote without losing hash power or increasing resource usage in any way.

The entire 19MH/s on XMR right now, could also be mining MCN at the same time. Yes, FREE money that apparently nobody knows about.

This is a good marketing point.

Thank you for all your hard work Dev!

Never heard this term "GREEN COIN". So if we can get coin by merged mining it is called green coin?
Yep, that's right. And I'm wondering how big is the list of green coins

It's Green coin because due to energy savings, isn't it?

That's right! Btw, I am curios what pool do you use to mine MCN? Minergate or Extreme pool?

This needs up voting...badly. People need to understand that the path they are on, Bitcoin has already walked.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Marshalls auction SilkRoad bitcoins on: July 06, 2014, 03:32:01 PM
Is this going to fuck up the market?

This represents a little over 1% of all bitcoins. I would say yes it will

So buy when it hits the lowest point then?

Always a good plan

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting paid in bitcoin on: July 06, 2014, 03:19:19 PM
Coinbase has a recurring buy option from your bank account. You could setup a US bank acct and have your US employer direct deposit into that account. Then setup your recurring buy from coinbase to trigger after pay day. Your cost will be 1%.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rise and Rise of Bitcoin on: June 29, 2014, 06:37:34 PM
The film does goes flat in places, 1) where they again try to explain bitcoin with confusing graphics and 2) as there are so many different stories to tell you sometime lose the thread as they jump from story to story. But these are minor points. There was a moment in the film where they are interviewing Charlie Shrem a year or two ago (who was also in the audience) and he's saying something like "I'm very nervous about all this regulation, We are trying to do everything right, I don't want to go to jail, I don't want to be a martyr." and I swear you could hear a pin drop in the theater as everyone there new what has happened since. Very powerful moment. A

This is a great review! I could definitely see a nice 30 minutes extra of content in the directors cut.
