What wallet are you currently using to receive BCD? If you are using an Exchange wallet then you have a slim chance to get these fork coins.
But if you are using a wallet that generates a mnemonic seed then you have a chance that you can recover this coin.

i am using "Electrum" as my wallet. my goal was to receive bitcoin. Just so I am clear with the information that I received here in the forum. BCD is not Bitcoin?
