It is not really that odd, what they are trying to do is to gain recognition by associating themselves with SHIBA eve nif they have nothing to do with it, after all if this can be done to bitcoin and the many forks that we saw, and if remember correctly there were even some ethereum tokens calling themselves bitcoin at the time, then it makes sense that we see something like this to other coins, however most of the time those coins are not worth our time so I recommend against investing in a coin like this.
