1  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12000 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: June 13, 2013, 05:26:20 PM
How often should my account page on slushs website be updating itself to reflect the work my miners are doing?
I'm watching my GUIminer and my workers are acccepting shares literally every single minute, but on slushs website it says the time since last share for my worker is 1 hour and like 12 minutes. WTF.

Why is the website not updating the shares my workers are finding and therefore not updating my score and therefore not updating my reward?

Should it be updating every time a worker accepts a share?

I used to have this problem occasionally, but usually stopping my miner and restarting it fixed the problem.

The average hashrate shown on the account page isn't always accurate, though it's usually close.

I've also noticed, back when I was submitting only about a share a minute, that if it went to a new round and I hadn't yet submitted a share for the new round, and the old round was still listed as "Processing..." I would show no shares submitted for the duration of the last round.

So, first step, click to the stats page and see if a new round just started. If it did, give it a minute or so to submit a share for the new round and you should be fine.

If the current round has been going for a while, and your reward has dropped off - turn it off and back on again. Make sure you are using stratum.bitcoin.cz port:3333 on your miner, rather than the default slush address in GUIMiner.

If you're only submitting one share a minute you might consider switching over to litecoin, since things are only going to get tougher around here. I'm considering doing the same until my ASIC comes in.

I'm still having this problem, I don't know why. I did what you said - stopped my worker and then started it again. I've tried this many times. The GUIminer says last share was accepted literally this minute and on the website, it says 15 minutes since last share.

But I can see, as I refresh my page, that my score is going down and my reward is going down.

How do I check to see if I'm using the address you said to use: stratum.bitcoin.cz 3333?

Yes. You should be using stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 if you aren't already.

How do I check to ensure that I am using the address you specified?

I'm part of Slush's pool and I'm having some issues. I hope someone here can help me out.
I'm looking at my account page on the website, and there is a few things I'm slightly concerned about.

To begin with, my miners are NOT reflecting the work they are doing.
I currently have two of them running, both receiving shares every minute or so. However, when I'm looking at my account page, it says that neither miner has received a share for the last 45+ minutes. Looking at the GUIminer program, it says the last share received was literally a minute ago. Why is this not being reflected on my account page?

Because these shares are not being reflected on my account page, the bitcoins I should be earning are not reflecting there either. Currently, one of my miners has accepted 4000+ shares - so says the GUIminer program - and I know for a fact that I should be getting bitcoins for those shares, but they are not showing up in my "estimated reward" statement.

Some guidance and wisdom would be much appreciated.

UPDATE-

Now I notice that two of my miners have reflected their work, but only partially.

12 minutes ago, one of my miners updated its amount of shares, its score, and its hash rate - which in turn finally reflected an estimated amount of bit coins I should earn that round. However, I feel these figures are incorrect.

The GUIminer shows a higher number of shares accepted and a MUCH more higher hashrate. As well, the miners are finding shares roughly every minute. With that being said, these changes are not being reflected on the website. When I look at my account, my amount of shares aren't being updated as they are being found, but my score continually drops and therefore my estimated reward for the round continually drops and eventually reaches zero - and my hashrate continually drops too.

I am VERY concerned that I am not going to be receiving the bitcoins that I absolutely should be receiving.

Please help!

We're very sorry, but while we would love to let you in and rock out with us, we need to currently restrict turntable access to only the United States due to licensing constraints.

Just curious, I've seen rigs on the wiki with over 2.1Ghash/sec which can make up to 114 bitcoins at the current difficulty.
And I was wondering if anyone else made coins faster than that?

I am personally running over 7Ghash FYI.

How the fuck?

Hi folks,

If anyone is willing to help me test out a game, that would be awesome.

www.raffebit.com

I'm sure there are some people who would be interested. Perhaps you should further elaborate on the premise of your game so that we can all read, learn, AND THEN make our decisions.

The Bitcoin community needs coders/programmers/techies/hackers/etc more than miners and speculators.

Don't know anything about programming? That's OK!

Google to the rescue: https://code.google.com/edu/courses.html

The majority of the bitcoin client is written in C++ however python and Java projects are also quite prevalent.

It's a billion degrees outside, so cool off in front of your computer fans and start learning to code!

As far as bitcoining goes, which of these courses on the google site would you suggest starting with so that the knowledge I'm learning is most conducive to the advancement of the bitcoin?

I'm solo mining at around 120 Mhash/s.. not a good idea lol.

Before I started soloing (a few hours ago) I was into deepbit. Before I was with them, I went with NoFeeMining.. not really sure which I like more.

Why did you make the switch to solo mining so abruptly?

This topic is regarding pools.

I was just curious as to which pool all of YOU are mining in and why.

As for me, I'm in Slush's pool simply because it was the first one I read about and looked at. Fortunately, it has turned out to be a pretty nice pool. But how about all of you guys? Which pools did you end up diving into? And for what reason?

Cheers!

Can sometimes take a while. Leave your bitcoin client open and be patient, it'll show eventually.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm understanding this correctly, I have to leave my bitcoin wallet client up and running in order for it to receive payouts/payments?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Redeeming bitcoins [slushs pool] on: July 18, 2011, 01:14:52 AM
i must say that is a rather perplexedly peculiar situation you have there

First off, does the payout show up in http://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/transactions/ ?
You can click on the transaction there to show the status on blockexplorer.

How long have you waited for the payment to go through? Sometimes they can take hours for a miner to include the transaction in a block.

Yes, every single payout is listed there on the payout history page. And once further explored, the transactions are being showed in the blockexplorer. Once in the blockexplorer page, it says that my wallet address has received 14 transaction and has acquired a specified total of bitcoins. However, once I start my bitcoin application, it still says my wallet balance is 0.00 and there is nothing listed under both the sent and received tabs. This has been the case now for little more than a day, hours before this post was originally created.

I guess my question is thus:
Do I have to do something special in order to redeem those bitcoins to the application wallet or are they really supposed to be showing up automatically. And if the latter is the case, what is wrong and how would I go about correcting the problem and acquiring my bitcoins?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Redeeming bitcoins [slushs pool] on: July 17, 2011, 08:18:09 AM
Well, on his website, the help link led to this forum and being a newbie, I am restricted to here. Thus, this is where I pose my question.

I'm mining in slush's pool and I have no clue how to redeem bitcoins that have been confirmed and sent to my wallet address. I thought that once the bitcoins were confirmed and sent to my wallet, the bitcoins would automatically show up in my wallet. However, it seems that I have to actually redeem them to my wallet.

I would appreciate any sort of direction in this matter.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many workers can be associated with a single GPU? on: July 17, 2011, 04:28:14 AM
Why would you want that? Your current worker is already using your GPU's full power. Splitting that wouldn't help... What you might want is a backup pool for your computer to use in case slush's goes down or something.

ATI 3200 doesn't support mining. Only 4xxx series and above.

Ah, thank you for answering both my questions. I appreciate your time.
-How would I go about setting up a back up pool in case my predominate one goes down? As well, in the same breath, which would you recommend as a good back up choice?
18  Other / Beginners & Help / How many workers can be associated with a single GPU? on: July 17, 2011, 03:43:09 AM
So I'm part of BPM(slush's pool). Currently I have one GPU mining with one worker. I was wondering if I could have more than one worker mining with the same GPU.  Huh

And while I'm here... I have another question:

I have a laptop that I've been trying to to set up as its own worker. The problem I am encountering is that once I've installed the drivers and the mining software, only my CPU is being detected and offered as an option for mining. The particular program I'm using to mine is "Kivs guiminer." I was reading the frequently asked questions and answers and they said, vaguely, that users have installed other drivers to remedy the problem. What I am looking for is a driver for ATI Radeon HD 3200 series mobility pack that will allow the guiminer to detect that GPU.

I am very, very new to bitcoin.
