1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not have high amount of money on an online device. on: September 30, 2025, 05:01:20 PM
You both did not understand what this thread is all about. We all know that people should be very careful about their online devices like phones, tablets and computers but this thread is even beyond that. This thread is about even people that are careful with their online devices still being vulnerable to a malware that is the fault of Apple and not the users.

That's why I said, people should use separate devices to manage their financial apps and activities, so that they can keep their devices safe from such threats and vulnerabilities, because when you don't use a device for normal stuff like social media, gaming, or anything like that, you don't need it to stay online at all times, and that is going to greatly reduce the risks of it getting compromised.
People that have the money to buy separate devices are the ones that uses multiple devices for different wallets like having a laptop and phones to operate wallets depending on the ones you have. Safe practice need to be added to our ways of life so we don't ignorantly lose fortunes because they continue to use one wallet for all transactions.

You don't even need a lot of money to buy the right device for keeping your coins safe, those who have money can still make stupid decisions like buying the same online devices for keeping coins like what the OP was talking about.

If they have the money to spend they should also use their brains to select the right device rather than wasting money on something that can get hacked at anytime. The reality is online devices like smartphone and laptop are not secured for storing coins.

You will use your phone to download online and browse the web, same as your hardware wallet and in the end your device will attract viruses, your data will no longer be safe and so is your installed crypto wallet, one day you will log into the wallet and everything will be gone.

The best wallet is a non-custodial hardware wallet that is always offline, like an airgapped device for example Tangem wallet and Keystone Wallet.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining profitability; as it affects Bitcoin's security on: September 30, 2025, 04:11:06 PM
Although most individuals prefer just to buy, hold Bitcoin and sell, rather than mining, the security of Bitcoin depends on the increased engagement of miners.

What happens when mining becomes less profitable leading to an exodus of miners, would Bitcoin still be secured?

You are right but also wrong at the same time, leave what belongs to ceaser to ceaser friend, Bitcoin have alot of miners around the world already, every week many miners are going online and that's why Bitcoin mining difficulty is increasing, we have passed that stage of worrying about security of Bitcoin.

What you lack is research, if you are into Bitcoin mining I am sure you won't be asking this type of question, the security problem that could have crippled Bitcoin is if a organisation control half of the whole Bitcoin mining hashrate, today it is impossible because the hashrates are scattered around the world in different countries.

Miners are very smart beings, they understand the potential of Bitcoin, when bear market comes they add more to their mining rigs because they will become cheaper at the time and keep mining and holding those Bitcoins, miner understand future value than retailers.

1 million dollars per Bitcoin is inevitable, not very soon but sometime in the future, miners will prefer to keep holding most of their mined Bitcoin rather than dumping on the open market, you don't need to worry about a thing.

How the hell did this topic end up in off-topic? It makes no sense.

5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do you check feedbacks score of traders? on: February 12, 2023, 05:25:47 PM
Binance exchange got you covered, imagine if binance isn't the middle man, even a well rated trader can just decide to ruin you up one day, it will be like a country without the law, forget the rating side and focus more on how Binance handle it's p2p, I use binance a lot and I don't bother checking how many trades a trader has successfully complete, it doesn't matter, because on Binance you can't lose money in p2p, unless you mess things up yourself, like releasing fund before Fiat get into your bank account.
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org scammed me out of $10000 on: February 10, 2023, 09:21:47 PM
What is going on here? Are people still using free wallet this day? Are you not warned several times not to use custodial wallets? There are way many posts on this forum pointing to the likes of free wallet and others that gives you zero private keys and only use email and password to log-in. People will never learn it seems.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's been your experience with IEO tokens launched on BKEX? on: January 29, 2023, 05:15:31 PM
Binance is the safes place for IEO launch pads,  apart from this Binance exchange also has the highest successful rate of new projects over other exchanges, unless you want a crypto launchpad instead like Seedify and Maker Dao. In this case always go for the best.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network mining on: January 02, 2023, 01:03:15 PM
Pi Network is a scam as far as i know and it's complete stupid to compare the project with bitcoin or even Ethereum, even if the token gets listed on exchanges later i don't understand what the coin is built for, the team even deny that the listed PI on huobi is not real, no max supply information and the price per coin is ridiculously unreal.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Memecoin and utility - impossible or next stage of crypto development on: January 02, 2023, 09:09:45 AM
i think it is better to stay away from any type of meme projectx, in few more years meme coins might not gain any more hypes like 2021 ever again, the whole market might shift for a newer hype like A.I , blockchain games or something brand new entirely, my most focus is on shiba inu as this looks like the only meme coin that might actually works in the end since it has a stronger community thats supporting the project.
10  Other / Off-topic / Anyone playing warzone 2 on: December 01, 2022, 07:13:46 PM
The performance of the new Warzone 2 sucks on my GTX 1660, even at the lowest settings I still get freezing issues and FPS is at 26- 34 Max, sometimes the FPS drop to 10fps.

Is there anyway I can stay at 40FPS using this graphic card?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Proof of Work (ETHW): The Next Big Thing? on: September 12, 2022, 11:32:45 AM
I don't care about what happens to mining after Ethereum because there are still few other coins you can mine and hold for long term like Flux and Kadena or Ergo and Ravencoin, these are all good altcoins that miners can mine and hold through the bear market, they will bring huge return when the market turn bullish after a new Bitcoin Halving.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pro miners pls give an answer on this on: August 26, 2022, 06:19:05 AM
The only thing that makes a graphic card outdated is lesser VRAM, if you can say that RX580 8gb are no more a good choice for mining what about GTX 1070 and 1080? To me they are in same category, they are old but still works because they have 8GB memory, that's all that matters, if you can pay the bills for power consumption then you are not on a wrong path.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best portfolio for a $30k fund? on: August 23, 2022, 10:31:41 AM
BTC and ETH taking the 50$ of the fund, layer 1&2 projects with mixed of metaverse and Dao project will make a fine and profitable portfolio, as for the names of the other projects you need to do your own research, but be rest assured that BTC and ETH will never disappoint.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pardon is this sounds stupid on: August 22, 2022, 06:22:52 AM
The POW Ethereum that we mine today will stay with the current DAG. However if you want you can mine ETC right now which will work with your 4GB GPU. Unfortunately 3GB don’t work anymore on ETC since dag is exactly 3GB right now.

Nothing resets, it just like a fork in the road. On the left you get POS and no miners and on the right you continue the old chain like nothing happened.
What about the value? I bet it won't be the same, I remember what happened to BTC and Bitcoin Cash.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favourite PC games? on: August 22, 2022, 06:05:45 AM
Genshin Impact is a great game, I advise everyone! Wink
So this game is available on PC, I thought its only for mobile phone users like android and IOS, I will check it out and download it today.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favourite PC games? on: August 22, 2022, 06:03:26 AM
Older- Doom, Quake, Half life, Half life 2, Bioshock, Resident evil 4

Newest- Halo Infinite, Elden Ring, Ghostwire: Tokyo
I think Elden ring is too hard for me after looking for some game play on youtube but how about this Ghostwire? It has good graphic designs but I not sure about the gaming experience.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Question for P2e fans on: August 22, 2022, 06:00:00 AM
Which play to earn game is worth having in your connections right now? Also, are you a fan of card games like Gods Unchained?
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: PC gamers I need help to decide on: August 10, 2022, 07:43:17 AM
I paired a i7 8700k CPU with 3070ti and it works so well on a 1440p monitor, not getting the actual FPS like those higher end CPU (9th gen) but the FPS is over 100+ in every game thrown at it.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ravencoin - is there a future in this? on: August 02, 2022, 06:47:37 PM
I believe you are on the right path, OP. Just don't sell them at discount price. If the next bull run happens, you are in for a big kill. POW coins like ETC and RVN are showing some signs of what it may look like after ETH goes POS

I wasn't able to mine RVN, but I am trying to accumulate as much as I can via trading.

Yes same thing happened to me with Ethereum and Doge. I thought Doge was going to $1 and did not sell at 70 cents. I thought Ethereum was going to $20,000 and did not sell at $4,800.
Quick tip.

Don't always wait for those round figures. There's what we call psychological resistance. Always sell off before an apparent psychological resistance level. For Doge, it was $1, For BTC it was $70K, for ETH it was $5K. None of the prices of those coins got to the psychological resistance levels
How are you accumulating via trading? Can you teach me a single trick?.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why People Use Bitcointalk on: August 01, 2022, 02:10:36 PM
Apart from been the first of its kind I just like how bitcointalk website displays on smartphones and PC, it's more cutey😟😸😸😸 than others and easy to understand, cryptotalk and altcointalk are confusing, worse design and bad interface.
