1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do People Buy With There Bitcoin? on: October 09, 2014, 04:45:47 PM
I haven't spent any yet, just trying to keep adding a few to my account over the past year or two. Then I'd be more likely to spend a bit.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave/stupid enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: October 09, 2014, 04:12:21 PM
Putting all of your savings into anything Shocked is not a great idea. Easy example, look at the stock market, still baffles me why people continue to pour all their savings into that. A mix and diversification is key, but do agree with others being bullish on BTC that the long term opportunities are great for BTC if you can hang on for the ride.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos kicked asses at the Canadian SENATE! on: October 09, 2014, 04:06:05 PM
Thanks for sharing this, going to set aside time to watch in full.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2014: The Worst Year for BTC? on: September 16, 2014, 04:06:45 AM
In terms of price action alone, yes
But I think 2014 has been a momentous year in terms of mainstreaming btc and most importantly highlighting the limitless possibilities of blockchain technology

Agree with this. A lot more goes into the idea of success than just price point. Having big merchants start accepting BTC along with well known people like Branson get on board certain moves things more into the mainstream.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Have also heard many of these machines are a nightmare. Seems your experience was a serious time commitment. I'd hate to have to wait around for 10 minutes for confirmation. But, nevertheless, it is cool these machines are popping up, hopefully technology will start making this process a lot more convenient.

Nice job! Looks good. I dig the Believe in Bitcoin.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Jeoprody! on: August 01, 2014, 05:37:02 AM
Well if that isn't a sign that Bitcoin is becoming mainstream, I dunno what is!
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm not selling my BTC until.. on: July 10, 2014, 04:31:41 AM
Am for sure taking the long term view with Bitcoin and holding on to it for a while. Seems that if/when the price hits $750 that will be a new stage of the market to really keep an eye on.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Talked someone into bitcoin only to bail because his bank saying its a scam on: July 09, 2014, 01:20:49 AM
As someone really new to Bitcoin, I think you just have to do your own research. Sometimes it's hard to change people's minds, I first thought it was a scam, but after I took some time to delve into exactly what Bitcoin was, I became convinced it was something to really explore further. In the end, people are always more terrified of the unknown and change, so much so that they often will not change, to their own detriment.   Sad
