Similarly to the issue we recently posted about, another investor has sent 4.045 ETH from a Kraken account:

We are addressing the issue the same way: sending them the tokens allocated for "Misc." needs of the Bounty fund.

Notice about special Bounty token fund spend

At the launch of EtherJack smart contracts, 25000 JACK tokens were allocated for the bounty campaign. When the game starts, the earned bounty tokens will be awarded to the participants, and the unspent rest will be destroyed.

Of the bounty fund, 8% (2000 JACK) are allocated for "Misc." needs. We believe it is our responsibility to notify our investors about unexpected spends from the "Misc." section, and that's what we are doing with this message.

We were contacted by an investor who by their mistake used an exchange account to buy JACK tokens. This means JACK were sent back to the exchange's Ethereum account, and are effectively lost. In this case people can't control the tokens, since they don't control the exchange's account.

Notice for future investors: don't buy JACK tokens from exchanges' accounts, only send Ether to the ICO address from an account you directly control (e.g. through MyEtherWallet or MetaMask).

The total amount of tokens "lost" was 93 JACK.

We believe it is our duty to help them out. Due to the way EtherJack ICO works, we can't reverse their transaction or refund them from the Jackpot fund: we don't have access to it. We are able however to give them the tokens they expected to receive, from the Bounty fund.

We believe it is the right thing to do, since:
 - It didn't happen due to our fault or system error or a bug in the game.
 - Taking these tokens from the Bounty fund doesn't hurt the interest of other investors at all: these merely replace other tokens effectively removed from circulation (exchange taking control of the tokens on their account is unlikely and illegal).
 - By resolving the issue this way we are being transparent and supportive to our investors at the same time.

We will continue issuing such notices in case other unexpected spendings have to happen.

Friends, we've updated the Results doc for the Twitter and signature campaigns. Here is the link.

This is very important: Last week we've updated the rules for the Twitter campaign. Requirement for the twitter posts amount was changed (3 tweets are required). Apparently, not everyone has noticed the changes. However, we won't be strict and will still count 2 tweets per person as a legit result. But next week we'll award 1 JACK fewer in such cases.

If your reward is missing (and you did submit the form), please PM me and we'll fix that.

Due to the high amount of subpar content, we are also updating our social media campaign rules:
1. Very low quality content doesn't count at all
2. Low quality content: 2 JACKs
3. Medium quality content (acceptable content, but very low value): 5 JACKs
4. High quality content (and high value): 50 JACKs
5. Anything in the middle (i.e. high quality, low value, or vise versa) will be rewarded based on our own judgement.

We still have a very small activity on Reddit. Reminding you that Reddit posts count as social postings. Go redditors!

The Facebook campaign won't be very standard. We will award JACKs for postings in crypto-related groups and personal posts separately.

Post in your timeline and get JACKs based on your weekly activity (works same way as Twitter campaign): registration.

Rules:
   •   Please register here
   •   You must fill the report form every week.
   •   Your report should be sent no later than 2 days after the end of the week (Saturday)
   •   The friends number is fixed and won't be changed after you filled the form

The EtherJack.io contract has sold over 11.000 tokens so far during its ICO.

This means we’re past the first price switch, and the token price is 0.005 ETH now. This is still way less than it will be during the game (0.01 and up). The next price increase is after ~8.800 more tokens are sold!

We as a team have plans for the next jackpot game after this one, but the contract is designed to run only one game. The way it's written, the jackpot contract will send away all money it has accumulated.

For the next one we will start with collecting the jackpot funds again (due to the much more publicity, with higher stakes). The plan is that if there are any leftover JACK held by players by the end of this jackpot game, we will allow trading them in to get the tokens for the next jackpot.

Some might be aware of what happened to PoWHCoin. We have double-checked out code to be sure we are safe from similar exploits, and we are, since we created our contracts with security in mind. Unlike PoWHCoin, EtherJack uses SafeMath to check for overflows everywhere, and also the token has protection from the short address attack.
