5  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for online job on: May 25, 2024, 01:44:39 PM
I have portfolio. I worked for around 160 Projects in Upwork. My feedback is 5 out of 5 and 100% Job Success. But now, I am not getting any response there, unfortunately.

What he means is that you should be able to put up the links to your past or previous works here for people or potential clients to see foe themselves what you have down in the past as that would be able to convince them you have such knowledge and work experience to handle any task of that nature given to you. That is what it means putting your work portfolio here.

I believe if you do that, it would also help advertise and market you on this platform to your potential customers. Come to talk of it, you are a newbie here and that is enough reason why you would have to put up a portfolio so that it can be convincing irrespective of your account level here.

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn a skill instead, you will be set for life. on: May 20, 2024, 07:44:03 PM
Obviously, people think since crypto is anonymous, they could use it as a conduit for any reasons due them but they forgot that Crypto is an open ledger unlike the banks that hides their dirty deals after messing up. Anything transaction you do on chain is already stamped and can not be reversed to wiping out traces just like the commercial banks does.

Learning a skill is someworth reasonable because that would help one grow their streams of income for see you survival. If you are skilled in a particular field, you have the chances of being self employed and would be sort after by people who needs your services.
Seeing that crypto could be anonymous and yet it’s transparent, still doing money laundering using crypto is not safe. That’s why a lot still end up in jail. Whether it’s fiat or crypto, as long as money laundering is concerned, know that you’ll end up caught by authorities.

Knowledge and skills are necessities in life. If you don’t have certain skills or talents, you will never stay longer in your chosen career. But if you have special skills, you can always suit yourself where you want to work with that can even harness your own talents and skills.

Knowledge is very much important. Getting a skill is very important as well because it would serve as back up to you when it seems all is not alright with you.  Your skills can save you of some problems which you could have encountered financially and otherwise. Just as you have said, you could suit yourself where ever you want to work and as it pleases you.

I have encountered people who told me they survived with the skills they learnt after school. Some told me they learnt their skills as a result of staying and waiting too long  for jobs that were not fort coming and instead of wasting their time, they went for skills development and that has been their source of income and they are doing okay and perfectly well. So skills can save one in times of hardship and also get h one extra source of income.

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Os boxing the worst sport to bet on? on: May 20, 2024, 07:03:37 PM
I am not a fan of boxing and I do not really give in to boxing games because it is not just what I would want to spend my time on. I prefer football games and racing to boxing.  Sometimes I just have this feelings that boxing games are funny to start with and here it has been exposed the shady deals going on within the boxing domain.

I would rather prefer spending my time watching table tennis match than boxing when it is obvious you already know how the boxing is going to end when some group of persons have already done their deeds to secure their interest with the fight.

.............

Lastly, as a gambler every opportunity could be a good strategy to winning a game. I believe you have long been following up with his games and have known his weakness and possibly you have been using it to run your games against him with good odds. That is a nice strategy for you and I don't hold it against you as it is a game of interest and everyone wants to win their bet so studying and knowing what and how to bet in any game that interests you is not a problem.

Indeed, as a gambler, every opportunity can indeed be viewed as a strategy towards winning the game. I'm certain you've been observant of his gameplay for quite some time and have identified his weaknesses, using them to your advantage in ensuring favorable odds for your own game. It's undeniably smart and effective on your part.

understanding the game and seizing every opportunity are indeed pivotal to success. Everyone aims to emerge victorious in their wagers, so acquiring knowledge on how to place bets should be at the crux of any game that piques your interest, along with implementing a good strategy based on this acquired information. Your dedication to such depth is duly noted; after all, using available information and strategies to enhance your chances of winning is an intrinsic part of the art of gambling itself.
Sure mate, every opportunity could be a good strategy if only you could utilise the opportunity to properly underscore the parties involved.  As a smart gambler, you would want to take note of your opponents weakness so you could use it against him while gambling and that is what OP did and it is working for OP.

You could imagine going to bet that a player would lose a game confidently and it works out perfectly well for you without any argument. Although it sounds some how but it is a game and every gambler would want to win their stakes with every available means void of discrepancies.

Lastly, I believe there is no law against a player being strategic in their games. As it is that every one wants to win, the more reasons why players would want to be strategic with any available means of winning their games. So therefore, the direction which they bet or stake towards does not matter as long as it is aimed at winning the game.
14  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What are the things newbies shouldn't do in this platform, so w can not be block on: May 19, 2024, 06:17:18 PM
OP, there is an adage that says " only those who ask questions would get answers" it is good you asked so you could learn more about the platform. As you have earlier stated that in every organisation, there are rules and regulations governing them and I would tell you that this platform is not exempted. There are policies here which we must adhere to if we want to keep existing here without having any body to have issues with.

Notwithstanding, I would not write too much because I already see some replies here which contains some information that is helpful but I would just itemize a few that is very much important and you must try your possible best to avoid any of them.

1. Avoid plagiarism. If you must copy from someone or else where for illustration, do well to reference or cite the original author.

2. Avoid using AI. Do not use ai content here otherwise you will be permanently banned by the admin if reported.

3. Do not spam a thread with irrelevant post or contents.

4. Do well to read the OP before replying or making comment so that you do not go off point because doing that might likely get you a tag.

I think these points can guide you a long way.

Welcome to bitcointalk platform. From the looks, you have already been updated of some vital information which you would need for a start but however, I would also advise you to take the security and safety of your assets very seriously because the rate of scams and hacks are getting too high.

Most times, newbies are their targets and should be careful with links sent to you via email, social media handles, text etc. do not click links you have no idea or knowledge about. If you do not know the sender or expecting any link from anybody, immediately delete it  as there is every possibility that the link contains bugs which would be it used for phishing your details to steal from you.

Never keep your assets with any third party exchange because doing such does not guarantee the safety of your assets. If the exchange can state it clearly on their terms and conditions of service to not be able to guarantee you 100% assets safety, what do you expect. Lately big exchanges have suffered hack and that alone should be an eye opener that third parties can not be trusted to hold funds so in that case, keep your assets in your own self custodial wallet for your safety.

Keep your keys and seed phrase where you alone can access. Do not store them in google cloud but rather, it would be nice you write them down on a sheet of paper or note book which you alone  could see.
Remember the slogan " Not your keys, Not your coin".
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 19, 2024, 04:40:57 PM
You have valid points here and I believe gamblers here knows very much about all you have stated. Gambling as we all know is something we do for fun and entertainment. In as much as it is, there are still those who see it as a means of making profit which in the real sense it is not so but for the fact that they win in the course of betting, they can take it as a source of income for themselves.

As a gambler, one thing you should know is that gambling is a risky engagement and as such, we are advised to gamble responsibly and with spare cash we can afford to lose or we make budget for our gambling so we do not exceed our gambling limit per engagement. With this alone, one should know that borrowing to gamble is not idle and as such, one should never engage themselves in such situations because you never can tell the result or outcome of result and how it would be.

I have come to realise that gamblers who go after loan to gamble are mostly addicted gamblers.  This is very dangerous because there is every possibility that the same result they got that made them go borrowing would also likely make them go borrow again. And they doing this does not have any guarantee that they would or could win a big game but sometimes it is just the urge to chase their losses that makes them go borrowing funds to gamble.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My favorite loser on: May 19, 2024, 04:06:03 PM
It is very funny though but I must say that there could be a turn of event at anytime against your odds. Looking at the fact that he is arrogant and ignorant it just not tally with his personality as a sportsman. Every sportsman I know is a gentleman and should always exhibit that sportsmanship spirit in them. I think he would have to work on himself properly.

18  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 AnonBet.net - No-KYC Slots and Sports Betting with Bitcoin [20 FREE SPINS] 🏆 on: May 19, 2024, 03:38:59 PM
Welcome to bitcointalk platform. I first noticed your red tag and was wondering what could have happened to  a new account belonging to a casino that just launched her presence here. It obvious that your casino started in the wrong way by telling members of a free spins which you know would attract traffic to your casino and not letting them know there is a clause attached to the free spins withdrawal. That is misleading and you know that very well.

It is obvious and from the looks, people would think you are desperate and want to trick people to getting registered on your casino so as to get much traffic but you just ended up earning yourself a tag here and until you prove yourself otherwise, the tag remains there for you.

I had to check for myself how your casino looks like and sincerely speaking, the UI is not worth it. Nothing catchy about your website. Registration process would be a bit too tough for people who are not good at mathematical calculations which I would suggest you replace that with CAPTCHA for easy registration process because nobody would want to waste their time solving mathematics to register with your casino when there are other options out there for them to patronise.

Lastly, checked your terms and conditions, it is nice you have no KYC policy and I noticed your withdrawal options that at least a deposit before withdrawal fine but you should have clearly stated it for the free spins too for people to know instead of wasting their precious time to play and win then upon withdrawal, they are asked to deposit before they could withdraw. It doesn't make any sense. You should review your terms and conditions for the free spins again and state it clear for all to see and also, the minimum deposit and maximum withdrawal should be captured on your terms and conditions of service.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Casino Community Service Possible? on: May 18, 2024, 11:10:17 PM
The only type of service that I have seen some casino or gambling companies in general get involved in is a sponsorship programmeme for an ongoing development or event that's been set up by some big and reputable personnel, which they could see as an opportunity to promote themselves by offering to sponsor the programmeme, and in return they will be announced and advertised there, but when it comes to development like Good Road and the rest of them here in my country, I barely see that.
I believe they getting involved in such sponsorship would be very much important for them so they will have to play a role to suit their purpose so that they get announced as you have said. I think it is another strategy by the casino to gain publicity to market their products.  By doing this, they get popular within that region and also traffic to their casino would be a guarantee since they have been announced as the official sponsors of the function that held within the environment they are making them look good in the eyes of the gamblers within that region.
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: When will you start losing trust for an exchange? on: May 18, 2024, 10:49:40 PM
OP, from the very first moment I discovered that exchanges are third parties holding the keys to your wallet, I just forgot and ruled out trust in them  because they would lookout for signs and fault to hold your currency without you assessing it. They are centralised and are controlled by the government and this alone should tell you that they can easily betray and dance to the tone of the government to favour them ignoring the fact that the community made and supported them all through their little ways.
Never trust exchange with your funds and wallet or something important to you.
