4  Other / Obsolete (buying) / testing the waters: 9.35 btc @ $9.50/btc on: June 02, 2011, 05:25:50 AM
Been lurking the forums lately and I want to try trading some coins.

I will initially do 0.35 coins via pp and clearcoin then the rest if it goes through smoothly (I will eat the pp fees). From what I've read, please send funds as a gift from verified accounts excluding cc payments.

Any other useful tips to help a newbie get started with trading would be greatly appreciated.

I am also on bitcoin's irc channels if you'd like to PM me, query my public gpg, etc.
5  Economy / Marketplace / Portal via Steam for 9 btc on: April 22, 2011, 05:58:20 PM
Got an extra copy when I bought the second iteration of the game but I already owned the first.

Anyone not try Portal yet? I recommend it.
6  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: python OpenCL bitcoin miner on: March 23, 2011, 10:42:51 PM
Question.. what are vectors and how do they affect the performance of your miner specifically? If I recall correctly, vectors have something to do with stream processing?

Been playing around with the command arguments lately and when omitting -v, hashrate jumps up about +15M; for a lowly 8800GT, from 20M..

Decreasing the frames option makes the desktop almost unresponsive but contributes about +1M when setting from 120 to 10.. would like to know how this works as well.

11  Economy / Marketplace / Re: EVE character on: January 25, 2011, 06:50:40 AM
Yeah but people do it anyway.

Either I can transfer this character to someone else's account or do this "under the table". I just want to reclaim some of the work (er, monthly fee) I put into this character..
12  Economy / Marketplace / EVE character on: January 24, 2011, 11:15:58 PM
~43M SP Caldari character with assets/jumpclones mostly in the north and about 1bil ISK on hand.

Will provide screenshots if necessary and will deal in either real USD or bitcoins. I'm not entirely sure of the character's worth at the moment so I'm leaving this for you all to ballpark. Maybe do it auction style? I'm open to suggestions on how to proceed.
