1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: December 23, 2017, 06:28:32 PM
Any hacking that can be related to Bitcoin is through the "mediators", which are the third party entities, such as exchange websites. There's no possible, real way, anyone can decrypt it
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin First Billionaire: Winklevoss Twins on: December 05, 2017, 12:29:05 AM
This was indeed a great investment for them.

I am suprised to see, that noone posted or discussed the richlists of the bitcoin blockchain. Even though it might be easy to split the money into different addresses, one could easily check the wallets surpassing or not surpassing the amount of the Winklevoss Twins. They by the way just recently invested in the Blockstack ICO.

I'm sure there are few others that surpassed the twins' amount and just didn't make it public.

Tryncold storage it's like an offline wallet maybe it's the best way
Cold storage ftw, no doubt. Storing crypto in exchange wallets is plain stupid and risky, see Cryptsy
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: December 01, 2017, 05:42:48 PM
I think Bitcoin and cryptocurrency should be taught in school or college. It helps children can understand crypto clearly.

There already are universities that teach cryptography and make subject of Bitcoin

Still doesn't sync ...
Anything else that might work ?
Thank you anyway.

I have that issue too, please forward the message to me as well.
I tried adding a notepad.conf file to the BitStake folder located in "C:\Users:\...\Roaming\BitStake" with the nodes you mentioned before and still not syncing.
I want to add that I am using the old version of the wallet, although I've tried the same thing with the new version of it.

Open a new text document through notepad and add the peers you want. After that, save the file as "bitstake.conf", and IMPORTANT: save it as "All Files". Otherwise, you'll have a "bitstake.conf.txt" file, which won't work. Put this in the BitStake folder which is in Roaming.

Short and to the point, thank you! this worked.

Hello folks!
Do you have any idea if I can mine Vertcoin with an ASIC miner? And if it's possible, can you please help me? I tried to mine it with vertminer, cgminer, but none worked for me.

Thank you.
