I think lowering usage would just drop the performance of mining. I'm pretty sure everyone's cards that are used for mining use 90-100%, though.
Not entirely sure.

Sounds like fun haha. I hope I can muster enough funds to buy a card that will pull some decent coin before difficulty increases too much.

Python is just pretty easy to program, I guess. Dunno.

For all the fellow miners out there, what specs did you start out with? I started with (and currently still use) a single HD 5750. ~120 mhash/s without any flags, around 160-180 mhash/s with. Nothing decent, I know. At least I didn't have to pay for it, and I don't have to pay for power. So it's all profit.

I'm looking into putting together a dedicated mining rig, but that'll be a while.

How long did it take you to upgrade from what you started with?

I'm solo mining at around 120 Mhash/s.. not a good idea lol.

Before I started soloing (a few hours ago) I was into deepbit. Before I was with them, I went with NoFeeMining.. not really sure which I like more.

Why did you make the switch to solo mining so abruptly?
Dunno.

and at 120Mh/s what brand of voodoo doll are you using?
Voodoo? Haven't heard that in a while.. I'm using a Radeon HD 5750, while using the computer. Not everyone has the money to afford fancy equipment.
