1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important advice: store your keys on a secure medium, not online in a cloud on: June 26, 2024, 06:32:13 PM
I can't help but think that the easiest way a crypto newbie will want to keep their keys is by taking screenshot of the recovery seed.

This is very common coming from someone who have teach a lot about crypto to beginners, they do this easily thinking it's safe, whereas it is not, I believe this advice should be on your list OP.

Majority of crypto wallets are not allowing users to take screenshots, but we all know that there is other ways around forcefully taking screenshot of your phone this days, taking pictures of your seed phrases is a bad idea, because whatever clean or dirty stuffs you have on your phone can easily be leaked.

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to buy or exchange dirty BTC/USDT? on: June 19, 2024, 07:19:33 PM
Hi,
I saw someone talking about dirty BTC/USDT, is this real or a scam? Where can buy or exchange it?

Many people don't understand what's going on here.

I am guessing that OP might have acesss to BTC that isn't really his, the word dirty is saying that the BTC is either stolen or the fund used to bought the BTC is dirty money.

Are you into dirty money if I may ask? It seems you are into drugs or you are a hacker, return the BTC to the rightful owner because every bad path always have an ugly end, you can't keep hurting people and go scot free, it takes a long time for criminal lords to stay in their dirty lifetstyle and enjoy it while it lasts but the truth is it doesn't always end well.

Abstain from crimes and dirty money, even if its BTC, it can always be tracked back to you.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Make Money in Crypto and not lose it as beginner on: June 19, 2024, 06:50:29 PM
Honestly airdrop farming is the easiest way to make money in the space and the only thing to look out for is you not using the same airdrop wallet to keep any valuable assets, because there is no guranteee that your wallet will be safe after joining many airdrops.

Keep your real assets somewhere else and leave your airdrop wallet address for airdrop purposes only, you loose noting joining airdrop, you invested nothing but your time, I always advice my junior ones to participate in airdrop campaigns and today they are thanking me for giving them such advice, you can always make money without spending from your pocket unless you are not willing to put in good effort.

Good advices over all OP, well done.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Airdrops is not free money on: June 09, 2024, 03:14:59 PM
I am fine with either ways.

Airdrop is not free money because in return they are using people to create awareness on the internet, and there is more, they use airdroppers to check stability of their projects and find new bugs, Airdrops are fun to be honest.

Airdrops are free money and that's why we have too many spammers and farmers in this niche this day, I have been into airdrop far too long to understand that crypto airdrops are most of the time not worth it, many will pay far too less amount and some won't even give out a penny.
Most airdrop task are not worth it, for example..

Notcoin fans only tab the miners every minutes of everyday to make large amount of money, for doing what again? Tabbing, there is no finding bugs or reffering people or doing testnets.

Either ways I am fine with both, and today its good to see that Airdrops are back again compare to the last bear market.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting altcoin profits into Bitcoin? on: June 05, 2024, 06:51:16 PM
Bitcoin still have some legs up, if eventually we break this 72k range we are going 80s for sure, I do hope this is the final test or else it will spell a disaster for Bitcoin side way movement since the past three months now, so I would say it is still not bad to keep buying some Bitcoin over time.

Although, truth be told, I believe it is already too late to buy good amount of Bitcoin, while the hoardes are hoping for a 100k we might never see it happen, the best time to have bought some good amount of Bitcoin was in 2022 and 2023, those were the best buying time.

The next best opportunity will be the next bear market, probably in 2026, so if you are looking forward to buying some good amount of Bitcoin start preparing from now, you can still buy now and make some gains in few months down the line but the opportunity in 2026 will be awesome, don't forget that.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake Google Chrome Update deliver crypto stealing malware on: June 05, 2024, 05:39:16 PM
I use chrome and other browsers on my PC, if any brings update outside the browser it's likely a scam, even uodate. Zip should raise eyebrows, my advice is people should stop surfing the web anyhow, you will eventually stumble on some fake ads and the only thing stopping you is you not believing in the add or you believing in the ads, I am very used to random ads tellling me to update some software or browser, they are all fakes.

This is more dangerous for new PC users, the chances that they can click on any link they found is very high, for such individuals I won't advice them to even run any cryoto wallets on their PC, for hacking softwares to penetrate into your PC, the user still need to give access, it is always us, so it is better to run your crypto wallet elsewhere.

I can tell the difference from a popup anything asking for some access on my PC, but still I choose to run my crypto wallets far away from my PC, if I am a newbie I would have fallen because I will believe almost everything that I see on my PC, today I don't have to worry anymore, I have a hardware wallet and everything I do on my PC won't favour any scams and hacks, that is even if they managed to infect my PC.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't advice anyone to invest on Bitcoin if he doesn't have Alt. income on: May 28, 2024, 06:52:25 AM
People always want to overdo it in the crypto space, even if all they can spare for Bitcoin investment is one percent of their monthly salary they will feel the hype later and increase the amount themselves, I know people who do this just because they want to have a lot of Bitcoin as fast as possible.

OP dropped a good advice, if you don't have a good source of income don't think about Bitcoin investment, if you also can't stick to a certain percentage of your money into Bitcoin every month you will likely over-invest in Bitcoin and it could backfire later on.

As for him telling his cousin to invest in Bitcoin is not a forceful attempt, if his cousin says no to him it is the end, I've advised many people to grab Bitcoin at $3500 in 2020 and they said no, a year later they rushed to tell me how they regret not taking my advice, the same thing will happen to anyone who failed to listen.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A quick reminder to all beginners, the cloud is someone's else computer. on: May 22, 2024, 08:10:26 AM
Thank you for the information. Despite the fact that I have been using TrustWallet and didn't realize this when I downloaded it, I will now be cautious when recommending it to others. However, I would advise you to save your security information on your email rather than writing it down to prevent it from being lost or invalidated when you're not around.

Hi Ethan, thanks for the reply, now listen to me, no security information is saved when you store them in your email, I dare you to do some diggings on Email scams and see yourself, no single email is safe from scammers, if they want something in that email the chances of getting it is very high, it is not very different from Sim card swap scams too.

They all have one thing in common, online aka the internet, if you can keep your security informations offline you have neutralized 80% of possible getting leaked, and the remaining 20% is what we can all live with, and that's by guiding the informations yourself, better than letting someone else  or something else do it for you.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / A quick reminder to all beginners, the cloud is someone's else computer. on: May 22, 2024, 06:11:36 AM
It doesn't matter how big a crypto wallet company is, they can act stupidly at any time and it takes your smart sense to shun their stupid idea or trust the stupid idea and later pay for it.

Beginners listen, even if a crypto wallet is the first on the best list of wallets out there, the moment they make a stupid upgrade available like what Trust Wallet did, just know that they have downgraded themselves.

Recently I recommended Trust Wallet for someone to use, thankfully he reached out to me about which backup should he use. I told him to just write down his recovery seed and keep it, but I was curious why he asked which backup because I never expected Trust Wallet to have more than one backup.

I asked him what other backup was available, and he said " Google Drive" I at first thought he got the wrong Trust wallet, and asked where he downloaded the wallet from, but he dropped me the official link, so I headed into my Trust wallet which has used for some while now, and it asks me to update to the latest version then I saw that they have added an option to backup using "Google Drive".

This is stupid and unnecessary, if this beginner never asked questions I think he would have felt easier to just use the Google Drive backup instead, why they made this stupid option available is what I can't figure out, it is one of the easiest ways to lose your cryptocurrencies.

It is advisable to avoid using this option if you ever come across one in any crypto wallet you plan to use or the one you are already using, say no to cloud storage, they are easier to get compromised and all you will get is sorry from them, your crypto assets are safer by writing down your recovery seed in a private and offline way.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If this is doable what will you add or remove? on: May 22, 2024, 04:58:21 AM
I will add a demo system where users can run a node and play. This will be purely for educational purposes so those who for any reason cannot run a node will be able to learn how it works without having to download the entire chain. This will bring bitcoin closer to home and show people that it is not too complicated or at least all of it is not.
The goal will be to encourage more users to take the step and run their own nodes, contributing to how decentralized the network is.

That is what I will do on the side, as the main course, I will create a fully decentralized system that is as immune to regulation as bitcoin is. This will replace other services that are being dominated by centralization like exchanges and mixers. This makes it much easier to stay private and not have to choose between decentralization and efficient service.

I know this is not adding anything to Bitcoin directly, but that is because there is mighty little one can add, all we are left with is to create efficient, censorship resistant channels and we are not doing so well now.

Bitcoin has its testnet, this is good enough for anyone who wants to play around with Bitcoin.

If Node is what a player to wants, they have to run the real Nodes as there isn't much difference, if you can try the demo you can try the original.

If you do need a Bitcoin demo here is one

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swap crypto or sell first then buy? on: May 17, 2024, 04:39:54 PM
Not a good plan, most people have done this and in the end they would have done better if they held the first coins, the thing is it's not easy to find gems.

If one project give you 10x return it is not even an altcoins season yet, it is good to take some profits off the table but it is likely goung to be a bad idea if you invest all that money into another altcoins, because they might not perform very well.

A gem is a gem, when a full alt season starts they will blow through the roof, and your newly selected altcoins might not do very great like the first picks, stop jumping from one to another project.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla may once again accept bitcoin payments whether this is capital snobbery or on: May 13, 2024, 04:33:51 PM
Maybe it will happen again if Trump wins the election. I think the reason why Elon has become silent about Bitcoin is some pressure behind our backs, he must have felt like it is not worth it, seriously if Trump or Kennedy Jr won the election these big public figures might come out once again and start saying what they have in mind.

Mind you, Elon is always known to be a Doge man, even if he talk about Bitcoin he is doing Doge coin a favour, these billionaires don't have power over Bitcoin, but the listeners who likes Hype and Fomos, with or without Elon Musk Bitcoin will still do very well.

They all understand the 4 years cycle, and I believe that when the time is right we will start seeing some crazy tweets again, they understand the game, and they very informative too, I personally just don't give a heck about them is all.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was holding on to Ledger and I got robbed on: May 11, 2024, 05:00:22 PM
Good morning

I have hold crypto on my nano s ledger since 2017. I have not validated a transaction since 2019 and I noticed a few days ago that my seed ledger was emptied.

Between 2019 and 2023 I had health problems, so I abandoned crypto and my computer.

My ETH, LTC and Dogecoin were stolen.

I contacted Ledger and there is nothing they can do. They told me to file a complaint.

I followed the ETH on etherscan and it happened on an unknown wallet then it was transferred to Binance immediately. I contacted Binance and they told me the account is under surveillance but it won't let me communicate with the person. They told me to lose complaint too.

I read on Google that people managed to communicate via a chat on etherscan with thieves. I created an account but couldn't find the chat function.

I'm French, sorry if my English is bad

But but, wait.

Why are you covering the addresses? You should only cover the one that is yours not the one your funds was moved into, are you even saying the truth?

Let everyone knows the address that hacker moved the money into, maybe it is an exchange address, it is true that you can't get the lost asset back but why cover the address that is not yours? Sorry to say I am just too curious about everything this days.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing on: May 11, 2024, 04:40:52 PM
Did you think that Trump will not win the primaries flawlessly? He would have won becuase he is very influential and he was the former United States president. The only obstacle he has in the presidential election is his rival Biden which is the present US president.

The crypto community also commented that he may be looking for vote from crypto community. But be it that, I like that the adoption of bitcoin has proven itself with masses which are now bitcoin holders and the approval of bitcoin ETF in the United States.

Right now no one cares, the blacks in the united states are all complaining about Biden, many vowed to never vote for Biden the second time anymore, Trump or anyone else can get there but definitely not Biden.

Who will you vote for anyways? Even when we all know that Trump is trying to make use of this advantage to win the election? I think no way cares, they just want Biden gone and as a matter of fact I want every obstacle in the crypto space gone, so I am against Biden.

Trump saying he will get donations in Cryptocurrency is lit🔥 I don't know why many people don't see this as a big deal, he always talked about nfts, that is dope as f***.

What is going on?  Huh Huh

Why are newbies creating similar posts about attacks on the forum from higher rank members?

I think you guys, including OP need to start dropping links to the thread or topic that you created and get hate replies in return, we need to start checking them out.

Next time, make sure you add your proof to such posts so that we can fight for you, if the hate is too much maybe it is worth fighting over we will see.

What I have noticed about newbies and beginners this days is they don't want to be corrected, they feel offended the moment you tell them that they are doing this or that wrong, if you think I am wrong kindly drop a proof.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is United States going against custodial lightning wallets? on: April 29, 2024, 03:38:55 PM
Some weeks back or probably some months back, wallet of Satoshi was removed from Google Playstore and App store for United States citizens not to be able to access it. No reason stated.

It is now Phoenix wallet which is one of the best custodial lightning wallets for bitcoin. No reason also stated for removing the lightning wallet from the Google Playstore and App store for United States citizens not to be able to access it.

I guess these lightning wallets are targeted one after the other but we do not know the reason. Is it because Chainanalysis were unable to trace the lightning transactions or the wallet developers are not cooperating with the United States to make lightning transactions on their channels less private?

I don't know how true this is but I just get a information that even Trust wallet is no more available on Play store for U.S citizens, since I am not in the US I can't verify if this is true or not, it seems that Playstore just decide to do this on their own, because trust wallet has no privacy transaction or lightening features.

What is going on? Can anyone from the US verify this claim?
