Thank you for the information. Despite the fact that I have been using TrustWallet and didn't realize this when I downloaded it, I will now be cautious when recommending it to others. However, I would advise you to save your security information on your email rather than writing it down to prevent it from being lost or invalidated when you're not around.

Hi Ethan, thanks for the reply, now listen to me, no security information is saved when you store them in your email, I dare you to do some diggings on Email scams and see yourself, no single email is safe from scammers, if they want something in that email the chances of getting it is very high, it is not very different from Sim card swap scams too.

They all have one thing in common, online aka the internet, if you can keep your security informations offline you have neutralized 80% of possible getting leaked, and the remaining 20% is what we can all live with, and that's by guiding the informations yourself, better than letting someone else  or something else do it for you.

It doesn't matter how big a crypto wallet company is, they can act stupidly at any time and it takes your smart sense to shun their stupid idea or trust the stupid idea and later pay for it.

Beginners listen, even if a crypto wallet is the first on the best list of wallets out there, the moment they make a stupid upgrade available like what Trust Wallet did, just know that they have downgraded themselves.

Recently I recommended Trust Wallet for someone to use, thankfully he reached out to me about which backup should he use. I told him to just write down his recovery seed and keep it, but I was curious why he asked which backup because I never expected Trust Wallet to have more than one backup.

I asked him what other backup was available, and he said " Google Drive" I at first thought he got the wrong Trust wallet, and asked where he downloaded the wallet from, but he dropped me the official link, so I headed into my Trust wallet which has used for some while now, and it asks me to update to the latest version then I saw that they have added an option to backup using "Google Drive".

This is stupid and unnecessary, if this beginner never asked questions I think he would have felt easier to just use the Google Drive backup instead, why they made this stupid option available is what I can't figure out, it is one of the easiest ways to lose your cryptocurrencies.

It is advisable to avoid using this option if you ever come across one in any crypto wallet you plan to use or the one you are already using, say no to cloud storage, they are easier to get compromised and all you will get is sorry from them, your crypto assets are safer by writing down your recovery seed in a private and offline way.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If this is doable what will you add or remove? on: May 22, 2024, 04:58:21 AM
I will add a demo system where users can run a node and play. This will be purely for educational purposes so those who for any reason cannot run a node will be able to learn how it works without having to download the entire chain. This will bring bitcoin closer to home and show people that it is not too complicated or at least all of it is not.
The goal will be to encourage more users to take the step and run their own nodes, contributing to how decentralized the network is.

That is what I will do on the side, as the main course, I will create a fully decentralized system that is as immune to regulation as bitcoin is. This will replace other services that are being dominated by centralization like exchanges and mixers. This makes it much easier to stay private and not have to choose between decentralization and efficient service.

I know this is not adding anything to Bitcoin directly, but that is because there is mighty little one can add, all we are left with is to create efficient, censorship resistant channels and we are not doing so well now.

Bitcoin has its testnet, this is good enough for anyone who wants to play around with Bitcoin.

If Node is what a player to wants, they have to run the real Nodes as there isn't much difference, if you can try the demo you can try the original.

If you do need a Bitcoin demo here is one

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swap crypto or sell first then buy? on: May 17, 2024, 04:39:54 PM
Not a good plan, most people have done this and in the end they would have done better if they held the first coins, the thing is it's not easy to find gems.

If one project give you 10x return it is not even an altcoins season yet, it is good to take some profits off the table but it is likely goung to be a bad idea if you invest all that money into another altcoins, because they might not perform very well.

A gem is a gem, when a full alt season starts they will blow through the roof, and your newly selected altcoins might not do very great like the first picks, stop jumping from one to another project.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla may once again accept bitcoin payments whether this is capital snobbery or on: May 13, 2024, 04:33:51 PM
Maybe it will happen again if Trump wins the election. I think the reason why Elon has become silent about Bitcoin is some pressure behind our backs, he must have felt like it is not worth it, seriously if Trump or Kennedy Jr won the election these big public figures might come out once again and start saying what they have in mind.

Mind you, Elon is always known to be a Doge man, even if he talk about Bitcoin he is doing Doge coin a favour, these billionaires don't have power over Bitcoin, but the listeners who likes Hype and Fomos, with or without Elon Musk Bitcoin will still do very well.

They all understand the 4 years cycle, and I believe that when the time is right we will start seeing some crazy tweets again, they understand the game, and they very informative too, I personally just don't give a heck about them is all.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was holding on to Ledger and I got robbed on: May 11, 2024, 05:00:22 PM
Good morning

I have hold crypto on my nano s ledger since 2017. I have not validated a transaction since 2019 and I noticed a few days ago that my seed ledger was emptied.

Between 2019 and 2023 I had health problems, so I abandoned crypto and my computer.

My ETH, LTC and Dogecoin were stolen.

I contacted Ledger and there is nothing they can do. They told me to file a complaint.

I followed the ETH on etherscan and it happened on an unknown wallet then it was transferred to Binance immediately. I contacted Binance and they told me the account is under surveillance but it won't let me communicate with the person. They told me to lose complaint too.

I read on Google that people managed to communicate via a chat on etherscan with thieves. I created an account but couldn't find the chat function.

I'm French, sorry if my English is bad

But but, wait.

Why are you covering the addresses? You should only cover the one that is yours not the one your funds was moved into, are you even saying the truth?

Let everyone knows the address that hacker moved the money into, maybe it is an exchange address, it is true that you can't get the lost asset back but why cover the address that is not yours? Sorry to say I am just too curious about everything this days.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing on: May 11, 2024, 04:40:52 PM
Did you think that Trump will not win the primaries flawlessly? He would have won becuase he is very influential and he was the former United States president. The only obstacle he has in the presidential election is his rival Biden which is the present US president.

The crypto community also commented that he may be looking for vote from crypto community. But be it that, I like that the adoption of bitcoin has proven itself with masses which are now bitcoin holders and the approval of bitcoin ETF in the United States.

Right now no one cares, the blacks in the united states are all complaining about Biden, many vowed to never vote for Biden the second time anymore, Trump or anyone else can get there but definitely not Biden.

Who will you vote for anyways? Even when we all know that Trump is trying to make use of this advantage to win the election? I think no way cares, they just want Biden gone and as a matter of fact I want every obstacle in the crypto space gone, so I am against Biden.

Trump saying he will get donations in Cryptocurrency is lit🔥 I don't know why many people don't see this as a big deal, he always talked about nfts, that is dope as f***.

What is going on?  Huh Huh

Why are newbies creating similar posts about attacks on the forum from higher rank members?

I think you guys, including OP need to start dropping links to the thread or topic that you created and get hate replies in return, we need to start checking them out.

Next time, make sure you add your proof to such posts so that we can fight for you, if the hate is too much maybe it is worth fighting over we will see.

What I have noticed about newbies and beginners this days is they don't want to be corrected, they feel offended the moment you tell them that they are doing this or that wrong, if you think I am wrong kindly drop a proof.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is United States going against custodial lightning wallets? on: April 29, 2024, 03:38:55 PM
Some weeks back or probably some months back, wallet of Satoshi was removed from Google Playstore and App store for United States citizens not to be able to access it. No reason stated.

It is now Phoenix wallet which is one of the best custodial lightning wallets for bitcoin. No reason also stated for removing the lightning wallet from the Google Playstore and App store for United States citizens not to be able to access it.

I guess these lightning wallets are targeted one after the other but we do not know the reason. Is it because Chainanalysis were unable to trace the lightning transactions or the wallet developers are not cooperating with the United States to make lightning transactions on their channels less private?

I don't know how true this is but I just get a information that even Trust wallet is no more available on Play store for U.S citizens, since I am not in the US I can't verify if this is true or not, it seems that Playstore just decide to do this on their own, because trust wallet has no privacy transaction or lightening features.

What is going on? Can anyone from the US verify this claim?

It's a terrible idea to lack knowledge about investing in altcoin and still choose to invest in altcoins, you will end up with scam projects and fake tokens, even those who are experts in altcoin investments still make mistakes till date, they sometimes end up with scam projects.

Altcoins is like walking into a casino for people who don't have any knowledge about how to be safe while picking up the good projects among the high numbers of bad ones.

Beginners should stay away from altcoins investment until they are capable to identity what a promising altcoin looks like. You can choose to be a stubborn as but I promise you will end up learning the hard way.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin halving have been completed, what next? on: April 20, 2024, 03:15:20 PM
Bitcoin halving was one of the greatest events all Bitcoin lover have been looking forward to. The implication of this will be that miners will have lower reward for mining Bitcoin which will lead to reduction in the quantity of free Bitcoin entering the market. As expected, this is meant to create scarcity and in turn increase in the price of Bitcoin. Many predictions have been made and that leaves one to imagine:
  • What path will Bitcoin chose following the halving
  • If this event will lead to more Bitcoin related innovations?
  • If this will lead to more people getting involved in Bitcoin

While I am optimistic that market will respond positively to the halving, initial reaction does not seem to support that, hence many will be wondering what is going on.

OP is this your first Bitcoin halving event? You should just relax and see how this goes then you will end up with atleast a bitcoin halving experience, this will be my third halving experience.

The only way to find out is wait, let's see what unfolds in the next two or three months time, but if I have to use the past data, I expect price increase by the year ending, my advice to everyone that are investing is to keep on using their DCA strategy non-stop, we don't know how deep this correction will be or if it will even happen at all.

Runes and ordinals is why the Bitcoin transaction fee is presently massive right now, I am folding my hands to see where this will lead soon.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 20, 2024, 10:25:36 AM
I’ve been on losing streak for almost 3 weeks of gambling, not daily but in random basis for over 3 weeks. Mostly I play only live blackjack using small bankroll around 50$ to 100$  . No matter what I do, slow play or whatever betting strategy makes me lose since dealer card is always so good around 90% of my game.

What I did is I stop gambling for a week and decided to try different game so that my mind will be fresh and positive. I play slot games and manage to win huge amount that is enough to recover my 3 weeks losses and gain a decent profit. I’m just using small bet on slot games when I hit the huge jackpot.

In conclusion, if you are already having a rough time on playing same game over and over despite you have a good experience on it before. Trying new games to you and taking break will help you to snap out of your losing streak because chasing losses usually make us trap on our losses.

In your case, how do you approach when you are on losing streak so badly on specific game. Does changing game works for you?

This sounds perfectly like the casino trying so hard to take the money back from you, I like your idea of using a small amount of money on a slot game after winning a big amount of money.

I use less money than you do, and I also do the same as you, although I don't gamble on anything else than slots game, if I gamble for a long period and I keep losing I will use my second option online casino or take a week off.

It's good to change your game if you are losing too much on one game, but for someone like me who likes slots the most I don't like going for other games unless it's Champions League season where I can place bets on football matches.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving is hours ago. Will you hold your BTC to April 2028? on: April 20, 2024, 09:22:29 AM
Bitcoin halving a fourth time is at block 840,000. It happened hours ago.

A next halving will be at block 840,000 + 210,000 = block 1,050,000. Estimated time is in April 2028.
https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/

Will you hold your bitcoins to 2028?

Bitcoin block rewards now is 3,125 BTC and after 2028 halving, it will be 3,125/2 = 1,5625 BTC.

After the 5 epoch completes, 96,875% of all bitcoins in total supply will be available in circulating supply.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Controlled_supply

Now Bitcoin already has Stock-to-Flow rate is smaller than Gold.
Everyone has a different plan about Bitcoin, you don't need to advise us to hold till 2028, it's a misleading information or advice, thanks anyway.

People who are supposed to hold their Bitcoin till 2028 are those who plan to retire having some Bitcoin in their cold wallet, they must be whales or very rich, but if you are still striving to grow it's a bad idea to just hold.

When opportunity makes itself available you should learn to take it, if you have bought some Bitcoin in 2022 or 2023 I expect you to take profit by 2025, the halving is over now, a new all time high is coming, sell your bag and wait for a dramatic pullback, it will always happen.

Taking profit and buying Bitcoin back is the best way to have more Bitcoin in your cold storage, those who just buy and sit are wealthy, they will always have money available to take advantage of a bear market.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easy method to stay safe for new bitcoin buyer crypto beginner on: April 20, 2024, 08:42:21 AM
This is not hard to handle.

The best advice ever is too keep your Bitcoin separately away from your devices that you connect to the internet, all the problems of getting hijacked or clicking on links and even viruses and malware happen through the internet connection.

We can't do without the internet though, but when it comes to Bitcoin and crypto, the best way to keep their safe is far away from the internet, so use your device to do everything you want online but do not keep your Bitcoin wallet near the devices to use to surf the web and do all internet related activities with.

If you are someone who always makes crypto transactions every day, get an Electrum wallet on your smartphone and only keep a small amount of Bitcoin in the wallet, already, hot wallets are made for everyday transactions, while hardware wallets are made for long-term safe holding.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: brazil sanctioned law that taxes online betting in the country on: April 20, 2024, 07:49:30 AM
Since last year, here in my country (brazil), it has been discussed by the senate and from what I researched, in 2024/jan the law came into force that taxes bets of any nature involving online and physical bets. (link)

The purpose of the law is to increase legal security in the betting sector in Brazil, (taxing revenue from bettors for the government? LOL)

In nutshell: bettors will have to pay 15% on the winnings received from any bets, regardless of whether the reward is small or large, and companies will have to pay 12% on revenue.

This is for physical bets or bets made online.

Lula (thief corrupt president) vetoed income tax for winnings from bets of up to R$2112 (~425 USD) per month.

The funny thing is that he didn't take into account the loss that bettors have before calculating the tax (that's a lot of bullshit).

Summary of the story: the government wants to be our partner only in gains, but in losses, we alone are forced to bear the financial losses. Very convenient, right?

What do you think of this? Is there any regulation in the betting sector in your country?

Do you think the government should really collect alternative sources of income from its citizens such as online gambling?

Are you seeing what I am seeing?

This looks like a great way to discourage the gambling addiction that most people have.

I can't help but think that the government of Brazil must have seen many cases of addiction among its people in the country, maybe there are suicide cases here and there because of gambling.

This is a well-orchestrated solution to battle gambling addiction, I can't say it wrong since this is what the government of the country wants for its people, and if I am right about the mess that gambling have caused to Brazil citizens then this isn't entirely bad as many people might think.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay alert and keep suspect of when someone is helping you out of your wallet on: April 19, 2024, 02:10:47 PM
Don't let anyone help you out on crypto wallet.

If there is anything you don't understand about crypto wallet, do research on your own, ask questions on the forum and you will be guide right.

Crypto wallets are supposed to be created without the presence of your friends and even your family members, they must be private.

I happen to know someone who asked a friend to help him to open a crypto wallet and this same person lost all his assets weeks later, since I advised him to never ask anyone to help him open a crypto wallet he has never lost his assets again.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in a casino's bankroll...Still worth it in 2024? on: April 19, 2024, 11:08:41 AM
I remember the days when online crypto gambling sites offered us the option to invest directly into their bankroll (like the one in my sig). Nowadays, it's hard to find one that does. The only I've found is Bitvest. But activity on the site is quite low compared to its rivals.

I was wondering if it's still worth investing in an online casino's bankroll? If it is, could you share where can I invest my BTC? Any suggestions and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

I don't think something like this actually exist as before, because now the gamblers who may be willing on making an investment into the gambling platform would also be interested in gambling, so what he would rather choose was to make a deposit and use the fund to the satisfaction of his desire with gambling, because he also want to gamble and have fun, especially now that we have online crypto gambling casinos everywhere to use, and if at all he wishes to invest as well, he would rather choose a cryptocurrency coin and invest by himself then hold.

They actually do exists.

With just a google search you will find some numbers of casino bankrolls you can invest on, but I  don't like the idea or maybe I lack some knowledge about it.

To make an insane amount of money from crypto you need to be early, this is the ultimate trick of getting rich with crypto, but it is not the same with stocks, they take a long of time to even appreciate in value and that's if the company survives and succeed.

I would rather invest in Bitcoin and maybe a few percentage of my money in one or two casino tokens, an easy way of making money, once Bitcoin reaches a new ATH it's a good time to start taking profits, and generally, all good and bad coins that survived the bear market will take a run anyway.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: April 19, 2024, 09:10:32 AM
A lot of youths in Africa are into aviator and a lot of other crash games... what's interesting is that 90 percent of these young people have skills, jobs and sources of income,..why are we playing these games when the odds are constantly against us.
People come up with patterns trying to understand the algorithm of these games but from my experience these games have no pattern
They are been controlled by the bookmakers, out of a 100 percent the chances of winning are 10 percent
After winning more than 4 times In a row just know that losses are bound to happen even if you don't lose that same day
Crash games are not going to give you that extra source of income you are looking for.
Using the martingale system in these games is quite risky because sometimes you might lose 20 times in a row
And continuing in this system will make you an addict, protect your financial life at all costs, stake what you can afford to lose, and be disciplined

Are crash games supposed to be different?

Is their outcome based on skills?

The last time I checked they are all games of luck.

To keep your head up with gambling you first need to have a source of income, and after you need to consider gambling only with spare money.

Gambling is gambling, either its aviator or dice or sports bets, they are all games of luck, you need to only consider gambling after everything is in order in your home, business and responsibilities.
