2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin hits $150k by year ending? on: Today at 05:38:53 PM
Bitcoin has been moving strong this year, and some people think it might hit $150K by year ending, irrespective of the recent fluctuation. Do you believe it can really get there, or it's just hype?

The time frame might look small but with what I have seen bitcoin do in terms of it's movement, I won't be surprised if the price actually flew to 150k and even more in the last months of the years. Three months plus is alot of time for the price to actually fly to that amount, bitcoin has breached greater height in the space of shorter time and so it's very much possible for the price to reach that amount by the year end.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2025/26 Season on: Today at 05:28:19 PM
Who said that English teams are the most favored in European competitions? They don't always win, in fact they've been winning very little lately, and in any case Roma is the team with the most chance of winning. They have an excellent team led by an excellent coach who has already recently won this cup. Always Forza Roma.
A team been led by a good coach, I will agree to that with Roma but the team in itself is not in that very excellent condition to see then as an excellent team except to say they would rather be excellent at the europa and average at their own domestic league, but they have a fair team strength and it is okay to say English teams are not the most favored  but if you are looking at the team depth and quality to a good extent, you will agree to the obvious while still having your opinion handy and again just like I do say, let the best team have it.

Well for me I think any team can win this trophy, it's just that the last time England actually dominated as the both phase of this European competition and all that can change because I remember there is this particular period where the Spanish team like Seville were the dominant and favorite when it comes to winning the title, I believe they actually got to win it twice on a roll and also there is Villarreal too who also caused waves of upset in this competition.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: Today at 05:07:03 PM
Bayern munich had the better performance of the day against Chelsea, they were better organized in all positions especially in attack than Chelsea were and it gave them a convincing win over the overhyped club world cup champions. However despite the tight schedules for Bayern, Hoffenheim didn’t stand a chance against them in the weekend. Bayern Munich were still able to get a win with tired legs.

Before the start of the game the football world was all expecting Bayern Munich to win that game and this is due to the form that the current Bayern Munich squad was exhibiting as they totally destroyed teams in the Bundesliga coupled with the confidence and also the composure at they handled their business, it was definitely not looking good for Chelsea to win although most Chelsea were hoping for the magic they perform in the world cup finals.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: Today at 04:48:56 PM
Its no surprise that Chelsea lost to Manchester united, history says it all...but I don't think that they anything has changed just yet, it's possible for them to even get worse because they are probably the most inconsistent team I've every seen in the premier league...Chelsea winning the world cup was a surprise to me, I don't think they can do much in the champions league though but it is too early to conclude

Chelsea have spent a lot of money to form this squad. They have added several talented players to the squad. However, since the beginning of the season, we have seen Chelsea's irregular performance. Out of 5 matches, we have seen Chelsea win only 2 matches. And the team is currently in sixth place in the table. Manchester United was also not in good form. Even then, Chelsea lost this match. It does not seem like Chelsea is worthy of winning the Premier League title this time. It is not possible to stay at the top of the Premier League table with this irregular performance. If the performance does not improve, Chelsea will gradually go down the points table.

Same old story with Chelsea fc, sometimes I wonder what the actual problem is, I mean it's very hard to see this Chelsea team be consistent but before the initial start of the season everyone probably taught they will do well because of the way they were very professional in front of the European Champions PSG in the club world cup but I guess that's just a one time spell and now the league has start the whole case is different with them.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a form of Mental Sports on: Today at 04:28:49 PM
Well, poker is actually a mental sport. I deeply respect strong poker players because they're smart, I'd even say they're gifted mathematicians. It's not random people who win, but those who can think for at least two people—for themselves—and also understand what's going on in their opponent's head. When I watch tournaments, I'm always amazed at how accurately poker players know their opponents' cards.

Poker is a mental game that's right, but I think it's more of knowing that tricks behind it and experience, it doesn't really have anything to do with mathematics...Technically, games like dice involves the use of numbers, probability to be exact...To know an opponents card it's all about watching them closely, looking at their hand movement and trying to predict their next move...this is why I said it has a lot to do with experience
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casinos release big wins instantly? on: Today at 04:23:02 PM
I think it depends on where we live too.

Some gamblers are from third world countries who see $5K is already a big amount, but for gamblers who live in developed countries, it just their one month salary. If you gamble on global casinos, withdrawing $5K won't be a problem because for them such amount isn't that big.

We can call it's a big wins if the amount at least $50K, it's big in everywhere. I never withdraw such huge amount, but some victim in scam accusation gets problem if they withdraw as much as that.

So the answer the casinos doesn't release big wins instantly.

Most of these casinos really look down on people living in third world countries as though they are low lives..amounts like $5k are what people make monthly in some of these countries but when they win such amounts they are being asked to follow several steps that might be very stressful and difficult...lol to me it's a form of racism, making things easier for some and also making it difficult for others
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 1xBet exposed on: Today at 04:17:20 PM
If my country has a justice system that works well most of these influencers and celebrities that have done promos for this company should be arrested...supporting a fraudulent gambling site and advertising it is a punishable offense in a lot of countries...same way 1x bet is being exposed others will come to light..it is such a shame that with all these schemes being pulled Africa is always tht main target
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a cultural thing? on: Today at 04:01:53 PM
You are right, every society has a different culture and it is very important to abide by the customs and laws of wherever you belong to...this can only be a problem when you try to break the laws knowing fully well that it is frowned upon or forbidden...In some places women are not allowed to gamble because it goes against what they believe in, this is mostly in African countries...western countries dont really care
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: man up and stop blaming casinos on: Today at 03:53:08 PM
Blaming the house is irresponsible, players are better off owning up responsibilities, and accepting results. Players who blame the house always have lesser energy and end up with a crushed problem solving skill, which won't be nice at fighting the little issues or signals that walks most players into the compound of problem gambling.
The thing is that many people tend to avoid responsibility for their actions. They develop this on a subconscious level over the years. When such people consciously mature, they act this way automatically.

Let's be honest. In my country, the president constantly shifts responsibility for his crimes onto other people. What can we say about ordinary citizens?

It is actually a coward behaviour to run away from your responsibilities without owning up to them...any action we take is something we did willingly, it is a choice that we made, so we must always be ready to face the consequences of our actions...a lot of gamblers blame the casino for their losses but they forget that they were not compelled to gamble, people who lack accountability might end up going through the same problems
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Bet on the PH President Finishing His Term? on: Today at 03:48:16 PM
If not for the forum I wouldn't have known that the poly market exists...betting on the options that I find there are very uninteresting to me especially political events..this might be one of the most difficult things to bet on especially if that country that you live in practices a dictatorship rule, power can be handed over to anyone and it might be someone that the citizens least expect..it's very risky
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: not-a-luxury casino on: Today at 03:43:06 PM
I think that this is all based on preference, to some people comfort might actually be important...here is what i think, people that gamble for fun basically are the ones that care about that comfortability of a casino, they care about things like the drinks being provided, the air conditioning and lots of things...to those that are addicted all these things are not what is important, they only go there to chase profits
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The rich is hugely favoured in gamble. on: Today at 03:38:03 PM
On the one hand, that's true, but it's very unfair to compare the capital used to bet. I think the winning percentage is the same, but it depends on how we choose to bet. I disagree with the statement that rich people benefit. I think it's the same, but this applies to people who don't use cold or unused money to gamble. If someone forces their money into gambling, it makes them afraid of losing, which makes that fear difficult to think clearly.

In all gambling, we only need to look at the winning percentage, regardless of how much capital we have. We as gamblers must also be realistic.
Gamblers who can be realistic and not feel any pressure when gambling are those who actually use money to gamble—money they've deliberately set aside just for gambling—and they'll always have fun with it even if they don't win. And in terms of the percentage of winning, it is actually not small, it's just not for everyone (regardless of whether the person is rich or poor) so that some people start to see and conclude that winning in gambling is always very small, even though this has been covered by people who lose at the same time.

Its important to always have a bankroll as a gambler because this would enable you maintain limits...like you said, when gamblers deliberately keep their stakes aside losses are minimal compared to when they just gamble with whatever they get their hands on...if you set 10 percent aside from what you earn either on a weekly or daily basis you won't get affected that much when you end up losing
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins, Losses, and lessons learned on: Today at 03:33:35 PM
If we realize this, we understand the consequences of gambling, which is quite clear: losses are more common than wins. Therefore, there's nothing wrong with gambling just for fun. Even if it's considered a waste of money, at least the capital invested is determined and not excessive. Most importantly, you can feel satisfied with the game.
Losses are mostly more than the wins but if you are been really strategic with your wins, the chances are that you will be able make up for a going number of the losses through a few wins so you do not really need your wins to equate your losses for you to be able probably make profits and this has been one of the motivation of most gamblers of all times that has kept them glued to wanting to gamble continuously even when they are suffering losses because  they believe all they needed is a big win and they will be able  to make up for all of their losses.

Its self destructive when you plan to recover you losses, because you might become too desperate to get them back...there's always a high chance that you might end up losing when you focus too much on this...In gambling it's important to forget about what you have lost and just focus on the next game you are staking on because a full recovery is almost impossible, even if you get it you might end up losing more
15  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Are there Situations Whereby it is Advisable to Invest in Bitcoin using a loan? on: Today at 03:20:05 PM
No matter how good you think you are with analyzing the crypto market it is not advisable to take a loan to invest...as we all know, volatility is a constant dynamic in the crypto space, even Bitcon goes through a dip lots of times...what happens if you end up losing what you invested it means that you would be in debt...if you don't have the money to invest then work to get it or wait patiently till you get it
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and substance abuse. on: Today at 03:15:50 PM
Trading is difficult and a lot of times it can mess up your mental health especially when you don't have self control....a lot of traders rely on drugs and alcohol when they are going through a losing phase, some take energy drinks for them to stay up night to analyze the market...But constant use of these substances can cause health issues that are not even worth it...all you need as a trader is discipline and self control
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake it til you make it? on: Today at 03:03:55 PM
Life is simple but yet we make it complicated a lot of times, someones growth in life isn't a threat to yours...instead of looking down on yourself and trying to pretend or fake it like you said it's better to just be real and focus on your own journey...There's no crime in mingling or associating yourself with people that are financially boyant than you..it's an opportunity for you to get inspired and learn from them
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horoscope and tarot readings on: Today at 02:58:18 PM
Looking into your horoscope to know if you are going to win in gambling is actually a waste of time because gambling is a game of luck and anyone can get lucky...I don't think there's anything wrong in doing this though but personally I think that is absolutely pointless...the use of horoscope doesn't change that outcome of gambling ...The problem with people is that they take gambling too seriously
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: Today at 02:41:40 PM
Chelsea have not been anywhere close to their best this season infact they have struggled to win games this season a bit similar to Manchester United but clearly some distance away in league points and position. For Manchester to finish the season better than Chelsea will be hilarious and I would love to see that happen against the world champions lol.
If Manchester United can outperform Chelsea this season, it would clearly be the biggest surprise of the season. And it would also make Chelsea a club that might be the butt of ridicule. But for now, I see Chelsea still being able to outperform Manchester United. Although Chelsea's performance this season hasn't been at its best like last season, I'm confident that Chelsea's performance will improve as the season progresses. Because that's just how Chelsea are. And I'm personally more curious about what Chelsea can do in the Champions League. Last season, Chelsea surprised everyone at the Club World Cup. And now I'm curious to see if they can do the same in the Champions League.

20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: Today at 02:33:04 PM

Yes Napoli can certainly overcome Pisa today and return to the top of the standings temporarily, I am quite confident they can score at least 2 goals but for the Pisa team I am not sure Pisa can score a single goal against Napoli, regarding betting, your choice is quite right but I want to know why you don't consider the -1.5 handicap, if you look at the returns, the -1.5 handicap is a little bit better, which is x1.96.
Pisa lost to Udinese and Roma by just one goal, and drew with Atalanta, which means they have a decent defense, and if I were to bet on this match with a handicap, it would likely be -1. But I also think Napoli could win this match at home by a larger margin, especially since Pisa's attack is weak. Napoli needs a win to overtake Juventus, and I think they can beat a team like Pisa. Juventus drew with Verona, giving Napoli a chance to become the sole leader of Serie A. If they succeed, it won't have taken them long to achieve this, just four rounds.

Thats a good analysis, a lot of bettors don't really consider the underdogs before placing a bet..even though Napoli are clearly that favorites here it's also good to study both teams. A lot of people placed a bet on on inter to win yesterday but others went for an option with a higher value, they predicted sassuolo to score one goal because stats shows that they are good in scoring goals and inter has been conceding lately
