1  Bitcoin / Mining / How would you spend $50k-$60k for mining? on: August 11, 2022, 02:08:44 PM
Purely Interested in what ASICS people would buy and why. Let’s say it’s based on mining on a 3 Phase supply.

Would it be all bitmain s19s & L7s?  Or would you mix it up with Goldshell for KDA and maybe take a risk on E9 for ETC?

2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Anyone have the Ebang Ebit manage tool pls? on: July 19, 2022, 05:57:21 PM
Have an ebang ebit 10.1 but can’t access it .  Trying to download the ebit miner mini management tool but eBangs site is no longer working for anything miner related.  Hoping someone on the forum may have a download of the file : ebitminerminiv1.0.3.5en.zip

Cheers

Thank you! My current fusebox does need updating so I can ask how much it would cost.

As you said it’s probably going to cost a fair bit so it maybe more cost effective to use what I have for now and just prioritise my machines and max wattage accordingly. So stay within that 50/60A range for the garage and work within 11000W?

I’m currently using tornado box fans, they seem to work well and quietly.

I’m looking at using PDU’s also !

All looks legit.  I triple checked before purchasing 2 machines last week.  Official site, official store, no random letters or words in the URL, official legit telegram group.  With the current sale and pricing I bit the bullet and am looking forward to the machines!  Now just need my electrics sorted  Grin
5  Bitcoin / Mining / Electricity set up advice please on: June 16, 2022, 08:26:29 AM
Any electricians with mining experience or miners with working electricity knowledge here?

I’ve done a search of old posts and it’s a lot of information and I’m relatively new to ASIC mining.  I’m looking for advice on what to request my electrician.  The opportunity for me is asking here so I can forward plan and have the safest and as best a set up as possible for now and near future.  I’m betting and banking on Bitcoin and have caught the mining bug.  Already know about costs / profit so really just want to focus on what I need to run miners and whats good to have.

Based in the UK and my home fuse box is 240V / 100amp .  I’m requesting as thick a gauge cable as possible that run 30m to the garage connected to the main box ( I believe it’s 25mm cable )

But what else should I be asking for?  I want lots of plug points but do I need to ask for a certain type of ampage / plug / breakers ) .

I will be  running 1 s19, 2 x Canaan 11 series,  2 x  L3s and maybe a couple of S9’s (until I can add another big machine - maybe another s19 if the prices drop further that I can’t say no). Oh and of course fans for moving air and controlling temps

Any help would be appreciated.
6  Bitcoin / Mining support / Best electric set up advice on a UK home supply? on: May 15, 2022, 10:17:41 AM
Hello all.  First time poster but long time lurker/reader Smiley.

I’ve heard and looked up 3-phase but it’s not a possibility.  What’s the next best option for a home mining set up? Currently on a standard set up but have an electrician coming to have a look and quote.  What should I be looking for and requesting?  Any thoughts on max amp, armoured cable thickness, plugs etc etc  Undecided

Set up in a small garage at the bottom of my garden.  I’ve been mining with S9’s and an innosilicon on standard 240v / 13A and I am looking to expand into 1-2 S19’s and see how it goes from there.  If I get the opportunity I want to run as much as possible safely.

Any advice would be great !
