Facebook is a great marketing vehicle. They might want access to make posts, like for example, when you send money, for promotion (like venmo). No new practices for a normal business here. The saddens me though. I felt Stellar's direction was more "open source" and less Ripple, and doing this is a total Ripple move.
 

Too bad the regulations on these are insane if you want to put it anywhere public-y.

A PoS / PoW hybrid that works well

This is really cool...do we know when they are shipping? It looks pretty legitimate and if it turns out to be I am definitely buying one and setting one up at my workplace

Also, are there any reviews or PR on this yet? This is the first time I've heard about it.
