until some one with mature coins stakes we're up shit creek! I closed my wallet until some blocks move. My coins won't mature until then, so it's basically a waste of energy until some one pops up.
I know one way that we may get an old wallet to pop back up on the scene, in fact quite a few may pop up. When I found by pure chance the "new Silk" thread I had no idea that it even existed as I was only checking on "Silkcoin" from "coinmarketcap" link here https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/silkcoin/ and it was locked on page 211 many moons ago and every time i kept looking every couple of weeks or so, I still thought it was dead and noting happening. This link is still showing on coinmarket cap right now and how many others are like me who have no idea as they are not bitcoin forum type of people so to speak. The link to "Silkcoin old on coinmarketcap" needs to be updated to this new thread asap and we will have some stragglers stumble along for sure. I have a mate who I know has some very old mature coins from years back, but he would have to update his wallet and stuff, but he has a 100,000 odd. i will contact him tonight. Can someone change the link on coinmarketcap ? |

It's not synced yet but gotta go to bed did few transfers  Hi ttoroie, again thanks so much for your kindness with helping us and understanding our inability to rectify this without assistance such as yours, we truly appreciate you help. My brother did the repair wallet and it now shows his total amount 274 000 Silkcoins but he did 2 transfers to the weaver earlier when synced with the incorrect balance of 220 000 and now after the repair wallet he has the 274 000 but the 2 transactions sent to weaver are in red showing question to the transaction. So now we have correct amount but 2 weaver transactions in question and since the repair wallet he cannot sync. |

Update on my old silkcoin wallet. Still not syncing and has been stuck at block 1758337. Coins are still stuck in staking. The coins that I did manage to get out to the weaver have arrived in the weaver. My question now is, "how do we swap silkcoin to silk once the silkcoin has arrived in the weaver?" Any help would be appreciated.

How do i get my silk from the old chain to weaver? I sent a small test transaction before i moved it all, and the test trans got lost.
It's not lost All transactions are done manually by Mathew for safety reasons If Silkcoins are picked up on the blockchain, then this means that they've arrived safely. The push to the Silk Network site is still a manual process, it will be visible once Matthew makes the push. A little bit of patience is necessary  I assume by silk from the old chain you meant silkcoin (yeah I know it's a bit confusing) and what happened with the rest of the coins you moved? PS: What happened Bitcoinasourus?  You were lost for a while Spencer said the same thing, that matt was doing it manually. But the 100 silkcoin i sent to test things out still hasn't shown up in my weaver wallet, has to be getting close to 10 days now. The rest of my wallet is now stuck staking on the old silkcoin. Going to re download the google drive files, try that. Hope i don't loose the rest of the silkcoin. Lost 25k silkcoin back when the chain first collapsed, this 50k would be the rest of it. Time well wasted?  I have been lurking. Even though I lost a bunch on this project in the past I still check out what's going on. My thoughts on the name change. I liked the old silkcoin thing, but I think if the dev team wants to really make this big they have to rebrand. There will always be a negative stigma around the whole silk road thing. I also think more forward thinking needs to be done. This has been a topic of debate for a while. It could have been sussed and finished for the ICO. Though i guess it's a nice ninja ICO for the early holders. We've waited so long for some thing to happen.. I hope this does good for people who have been with this chain since 2014. My coins are also stuck in staking and I have been working on getting them out for over a week now. I have tried changing my .conf file I have tried ganging setting to all 999999s but nothing works. All my coins were in spendable when I tried to send to weaver. It was when I tried to send the entire amount that it came up with a cant send due to transaction fee as I was trying to clear my wallet and instantly it started showing incoming transaction, incoming transaction over and over really fast and throwing all my coins from spendable into staking. Now they are all stuck there due to this technical glitch. not a good look for the project and to tell you the truth we are losing interest. If things like this are still happening what hope is there for this project? |

Hi and thanks for the help. I downloaded the .conf file from the link you provided and deleted my existing one and replaced it with the one you provided but still have majority of my coins stuck in "Staking" and nothing I try can get them into spendable. I changed the reserved amount to the amount stuck and it made no difference either and I tried the reserve amount at 0000 and still stuck. I am not sure what to do or where to go from here. Any help would be really appreciated. Set your reserve amount to all 9's (999999999) that's the amount you are telling the wallet to KEEP from staking. Not sure if if will help release the coins in staking but it may. Just thought of something else you can try if nothing else works. You could try exporting the private keys from your current wallet and the importing them into a new wallet. I’ve done that for many other coin wallets in the past which had gotten screwed up. To do it; With you current wallet running and unlocked, go to Actions -> Debug, then select the Console tab. For each of your addresses, enter dumpprivkey <silkcoin address> Copy and paste each of the keys it responds with to notepad Save the file when you have dumped all your addresses, but leave it open. Exit (close) the wallet Go to your Slikcoin data directory Rename the existing wallet.dat file to something like orig_wallet.dat (so you have a copy) Restart the SilkCoin wallet (it will create a new wallet) When it shows it is synced, go back to the console (Actions -> Debug, then select the Console tab) Now using the list of keys you saved in the notepad file, ether the following command for each private key you have; importprivkey <private key from list> “you can include a label in quotes if you want” I'm posting this during my commute to the day job so the commands are from memory, I think I got them right, but if anyone sees an error, please chime in with the correction Well I am at a complete loss. I have been at this crap for days now and my coins are still stuck in staking and I cannot move them. Where do we go from here. |

Thanks very much for your help. I found my .conf file but I have no idea how to change it? when I click it, it comes up with windows cant read this file. I also dont know how to create a text file. Any help would be appreciated. Hi all.

You need to change your staking setting in your .conf file to zero. staking=0 If you don't know what a .conf file is, create a txt file, add that line to it. Rename the file to "silkcoin.conf" put into your silkcoin folder which is located C:\documents and settings\user\application data\silkcoin folder, if you are using Windows... |

Same thing happened to me. I sent coins from my old silkcoin wallet and they dont show up in the online weaver??? I am glad I only sent a small amount to test it out. disappointing that it was not a quick smooth transaction as it steals confidence in the system. This needs fixing asap. Hi,
Is old Silkcoin transferred to Silknetwork supposed to be showing up in the online wallet yet?
Is this something I should be doing now or waiting to a later date?

Do you experiment with send coin to the trading market? https://bittrex.com/home/marketsNo, I meant sending Silkcoin to my Silkcoin wallet at Silknetwork.org. Transaction shows up in blockchain explorer but not in the online wallet balance. Sorry, understanding errors, you are using SILKCOIN ICO it? |

Hi all. Update on my old Silkcoin wallet not getting connections. I missed a wallet update and the devs have the old Silkcoin wallet posted on page 60 of this thread and it works a treat. I downloaded fromthe link they provided https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B8b9ne_xrZWxVGZ3MzBvLS1LNnc and within minutes I have 4 connections and my wallet is catching up. By the way I think Darksilk is undervalued at the current price talk. Its worth a lot more than that and if we can all get access now to the enormous amount of labour that has been put into this project its a complete bargain. I think the concept of bot Silk and Darksilk Weaver is brilliant and is a complete winner. |
