Altcoins are known for any kind of accusations you can mention but where there is bad eggs, sometimes you can also see some good eggs in there. Some altcoins for years are known for prioritizing their community, the team does as exactly as they say and they are decentralized to some degree even though they can't be like Bitcoin.

If you do your research properly, there are some altcoins that are worth investing. Coins like BNB, hype(this one don't play with the community) and many of them but there is nothing like best altcoins. Make sure you diversify your portfolio as possible and more of your investment should be on Bitcoin just for safety precautions.

It will interest me to tell you that any altcoins seen doing well is a native token of an exchange, bnb, and others whose price went up drastically and the percentages of theit volatility is small . Any other coins that is not a native token of a Blockchain or exchange will definitely fluctuate with higher range and possibility of hitting zero
4  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / If this not Bitcoin don't invest on: August 22, 2025, 05:25:22 AM
I will tell you for free that every altcoins is design in one way or the other to sort for funds from the public. This is the mechanism put in place to make you believe it will yield positive result at the end.

My observation
The owners of altcoins have one thing in mind , to catch out from your invested money on there coins and start up a new business or to support their existing business or to invest the money on bitcoins itself. So it easier for them to pull out the money from the exchanges forcing the price to hit zero.

If they have good mind , they can pump in money later when they have made profit from the business. If the business collapse or target not met, the coins automatically die.

No matter how promising an altcoins can be , bear in mind that the owners has his own reason for creating them which might not be made known on the white paper.  If it is not bitcoins , stay away from shit coins with hundreds of empty promises.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't one multi-billionaire buy a huge share of all bitcoins? on: July 13, 2025, 12:21:41 PM
What if I do this, what will I get in return knowing well that I own greater share of bitcoins, that exactly won't go well with small investors because any time I pull out , there will be a significant shake on the market.
6  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Life outside Bitcoin community on: June 08, 2025, 07:50:22 PM
For some months that I have been away from the bitcoin community, I have a different view from what I once know and believed . This brings me to the conclusion that, lots of people outside the Bitcoin community sees it with different perspective. Outside here where struggles is real, lots of people have little or no time to think about bitcoin. Sometimes life can make one not to think close to cryptocurrency. Now I understand it that of a truth, with the popularity of bitcoin , many are no longer looking at the direction of bitcoins and there is no hope that it will ever have a bigger influence on world economy.

To be real, bitcoin does not fit to every day life considering the economy crises in every nation.
Life has been designed around paper money and centralized system. Even in 50 years to come , we will only find 1 out of 10 who will be ready to shop with bitcoins.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Botswana central bank lists money laundering as a top security risk of crypto on: December 27, 2024, 06:27:43 PM
If we will ask , where was the bitcoins or digital asset bought, was it not through centralized exchanges and bank transaction?.  If government money is stolen, was it not stolen via banks transfer? Or where they removed physically and then sent into the digital world.

The banks where money where sent from and to should be verified . The central bank should be able to provide all account that had received money from the government account
10  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin could have helped so many more people on: December 27, 2024, 06:21:07 PM
With the high level of popularity, bitcoins has a longer road to thread. Truth be told , there has been some forms discouraging path in the crypto world that is making the journey of Bitcoin hard to believe , the numerous fake crypto project has made it  possible to disbelief the originality and functional impact and effectiveness of Bitcoin.  We know that bitcoin is different from the so called shit coins, however, they are all in same crypto space.

If we talked about educating people on the need to differentiate this, we should also understand that scammers are working hard to convincing new investors with greater promises.

Bitcoin is good base on its decentralized feature but it won't change anything for now except for price appreciation through which investors can cash out
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Article on future US president competing with Bitcoin & crypto on: October 21, 2024, 07:56:06 PM
The percentage of holders can not guarantee his wining,I think he should focus on some other things to gain the people's support .  Whichever way it is, bitcoins is beyond the dictates of the government, all they can do is to impact it either positvely or otherwise.
Let's not build too much hope on such manifesto , if he wins, good luck and if he doesn't , all the best . Just keep the head and make use of opportunity at the right time
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I built WhatifBitcoin to Visualize Past Bitcoin Investments on: October 19, 2024, 07:52:38 PM
Very thoughtful of you to have built such a platform that gives an overview of what one should expect . You deserve an award in the crypto community . This platform can help open the eye of new long term investors .

Your effort is commendable , good work deserve a hundred praise. This is a major contribution to making newbie have interest in bitcoins
13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Knowledge plays a vital role in this space on: October 16, 2024, 03:46:07 PM
Your points are valid. I do think that most person have gain awareness about bitcoins through the airdrop but this awareness is not enough to make them a potential investors on the long run as many of them only seek for daily bread through airdrop not because they care about investing. The economic situation in the country has forced many person to see airdrop as an escape root to escaping debt and living below standard.

For every one that was brought in through airdrop , who is still wondering about what the space is all about should seek for knowledge in a proper way because a lot of people seek incomplete knowledge by glancing through pages they should have properly read through .

Secondly , newbie should not believe that they are missing out until they rush to invest. Getting the right knowledge before investing help safeguard your asset and protect you against scam

15  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: You can use Bitcoin as your savings account. on: October 10, 2024, 08:28:57 AM
I will consider your points/argument  valid if the person is in question knows about bitcoin. Does she invest in Bitcoin at all . If I will tell you this, everyone here has one or two story of regret to tell about not investing in bitcoins when it was so early and when the price was insignificant . Though is not too late but individuals chooses the part to follow when it comes to investment base on their level of needs.

17  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: HBO Documentary alleges Peter Todd is Satoshi - Bitcoin Creator on: October 09, 2024, 11:32:32 AM
Is it even necessary to know who he is? , I do think Satoshi is the most humble man on earth to have hid his identity. Satoshi has done his part and has decided to make himself unknown so I do not think there is any need digging deep. The question is that , if Satoshi is known would it make any difference, will it not be exposing him to government attack and will it not lead to the end of bitcoins if pressured by the government?.
I think the bitcoin community should forget about the whole thing and focus on making the technology much more better .

Even if what they said seems right , then it will he true that he did not build it single handedly.

Here I rest my case on Satoshi but I do really think, he has done the best thing to this generation. We will keep appreciating him even in his pseudonomous
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful of those crypto content makers on: October 09, 2024, 11:22:46 AM
If anyone finds this forum in their early days, they are lucky to discover millions of truth about bitcoins . You see those content creators or influencer to say, are been paid to do their job, so they are working for money and they do not really care about their followers, even if they do, they do that after they have posted wrong info then returning to beg them that they are sorry after they have mad a lot of people loose money to wrong project.

Sometimes this influencers are part of this  project and they use the opportunity they make it known to their innocent community.

Well I do think people do fall victim of their trick because they are just too curious to make money which is born out of greed
19  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Na For All: But can the 63% Wallowing in Poverty invest in bitcoin? on: October 08, 2024, 01:13:19 PM
My brother , bitcoins is not for all as we speak, the common man that is seeking for food to survive can not have time investing in bitcoins but I will say again that with the way young people get followed on social media this day, I believe the wise one can diversify some of their earning to bitcoins if they got the right advice.

How I  feel right isn't good at all, do you know that when btc was just 4million naira, I did not even have 10k to invest as at then, though I was a student on siwes program.

Our environment is not helping at all, the little people are able to gather is not enough to make feed well , how will someone of such think of buying a coin.

To be sincere with you, life is even more hard and this is forcing some investors to get out of the market just to survive the economy.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The future of Bitcoin as payment means on: October 07, 2024, 10:05:58 PM
The fact El Salvador accepted Bitcoin as a legal currency does not mean that other government across the world will accept it someday. The reality is that , the government will keep fighting bitcoin with all market strategy and strick regulations.

Reasons why they will keep fighting is not about the prosperity of the people majorly but about power and authority to control people. This is why they prefer the centralized system in order to keep the people poor so that they can run to their feet for daily bread, seek shelter and wait for other provision.

We all know that through Bitcoin, every one will be there own boss. No control or submission to any authority over your own belonging or money, the life threatening taxes will be done away with.

But as of now, no matter how popular Bitcoin becomes, it will keep facing the wrath of the angry government who need to keep people poor.

More also, before bitcoin will become used by everyone across the world as means of payment, most users hear must have grown white Bear,
