1  Economy / Services / Re: [PAID TESTERS NEEDED] Zenland Escrow Contract | Custom Agents | Up to $20 (open) on: January 11, 2024, 12:11:15 PM
Hello. I want to personally thank everyone who completed the review with our new custom agent feature.

Also, I wanted to let you know that as soon as we conclude our beta test campaign, we will launch the official Zenland Custom Agents of Bitcointalk Thread.

    - as soon as I resolved dispute, it disappeared from my profile. No where to be found.

When I clicked on send button the contract automatically vanished

-The contract is no longer visible at all once the funds have been sent, perhaps it would be practical to keep them for a while in case of a problem with one of the parties?

At the beginning, we thought that keeping resolved dispute cases in an agent's profile might be a privacy issue. However, since we received many requests, we've updated the permissions for agents to view their old resolved contracts. Now agents will be able to see their contracts after they have been resolved.

-Perhaps a page/history for the agents, so that they can be trusted in disputes?

    - Agent reputation page
There was a problem with rendering the reputation page for agents, but everything should work fine now.
Here is how the agent reputation page looks like - Agent Reputation Page
Here is how a regular user reputation page looks like - User Reputation Page

We are planning to expand the analytics for the agent reputation page to make it easier for contract parties to choose the right agent. We need more people using Zenland to gather the data.

Another question: is there an appeal system for the agent's decisions?
Or is his decision final and absolute?

Agent's decision is final. Once the money is sent from the contract, the case is closed. There is no appeal system as for now, but we currently have two options:

First, if a custom agent is bribed: We are launching custom agent features on Bitcointalk because here we have a community. If the buyer/seller believes that the contract was resolved unfairly, they can open a scam thread here on the forum, and we will double-check everything from our side and disable the agent if necessary.

The second option is the Zenland Forum, where custom agents will be submitting difficult cases to solve. As a community, we can help find the right consensus in more complex cases. These cases can be used as a precedent by other custom agents to help solve cases more efficiently in the future.

Also, the smart contract is build in a way that once the agent is invited into the contract, only agent can send money out of the contract. Buyer and seller loses rights to release the money.

    • The buyer protection time countdown is stuck at 1 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes in the UI even if it is enforced at the contract level.

In Contract Details, the buyer protection time is static to show the counterparty all the contract details before approving it. It's very important to read the draft contract before approving it.

    • After the buyer protection time is elapsed, the seller can call release() and take 100% of the buyer's money and there is nothing the buyer can do about it.

Yes, we designed it so the buyer will not 'burn the money out of spite by never releasing it', as Satoshi once said here Bitcointalk Thread. If the buyer is not satisfied with the delivery, instead of freezing the money, they can always dispute the contract and stop the buyer protection time.

Suggestion: Be more consistent with the wording for both parties. I personally still don't like the words Contractee and Contractor as a non-native english speaker. Multiple times I caught myself having to think more than I should to avoid mistaking who's who. "Contractee = buyer = sent the USDC" and "Contractor = seller = sent the fake SHIBA".
    • I would prefer if the contractee/contractor names would be ditched and the contract creator could choose if he's the buyer or seller.
    • Hovering the “Seller’s percentage”, “Buyer’s Percentage” or "Agent’s Percentage” information icon on the Splitting Money card shows up a tooltip that blocks the input until the mouse leaves the area. It took me a couple seconds to understand why I couldn’t write on the input.
    • The reputation page was down at the time of my review. Error “Cannot read properties of null (reading 'toLowerCase')” on line 74 of Profile.tsx: params.id.toLowerCase() !== auth.whoAmI.nickname.toLowerCase())
    • After the dispute was concluded, I was sent directly to the Contracts page and an error message popped up with the text “Not found”. It would be better to show the final outcome and the previously disputed contracts on my list.

Thank you, TryNinja, for your thorough review. We need more testers like you. The incorrect positioning of Seller/Buyer/Agent fields is fixed. New tooltips for the agent page are added. The TypeError on the nickname check is also fixed. Agents can now see their old contracts.

    - I personally find buyer/seller term easier than contractor and contractee.
use a conventional title for the disputed parties like buyer/seller and not contractor/contractee

I have personally changed the terms in the chat and in most notifications from Contractee to Buyer and Contractor to Seller. The only place these labels are left is on the contract creation page.

    - Quote option in chat
    - Written chat in text box should stay if you by mistake reload the web page.
Last question: I haven't found a way of adding 2FA, is this planned for the future?
    • Contract code looks good and secure but lacks comments and some gas optimizations can be done to reduce the gas costs for users (buyer, seller, agent) eg: changing some require statements to custom error and other best practices like using constants instead of magic numbers.
make provision for being precise when asking any party a question, like a button where you can choose to either ask the buyer or the seller specific questions in the chat and the indications of who the question is meant for.

Thank you for your contributions. I'm adding them to our To-Do list.

3  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] [Sale] 🏠 Selling a big house in Portugal for Bitcoin or Ethereum 🏠 on: September 16, 2023, 11:15:30 AM
    Hey DomainNames4Sale,

Diornov here, founder of Zenland. Saw your listing and thought I'd jump in. If you're considering an escrow for this sale, using Zenland might be a good fit. For a transaction of 820k euros, our escrow contract typically costs $3645. This can be split between both parties, making it $1822 each. However, if you decide to go through Zenland for this sale, we'll cover the entire escrow fee. Plus, all transaction fees related to contract deployment and escrow calls are on us.

Portugal's crypto-friendly environment and Zenland's secure platform could make this a smooth deal for you. Let me know if you're interested or have any questions!

    Cheers,
    Diornov

Hello Sim_card. Your contract has been deployed and is now active. Kindly fulfill it according to the contract's terms. I sent you 0.1MATIC to cover the fees.

STEP 2: Contract fulfilled. Waiting for funds release.

Thank you, Hafiztalha , for following contract terms and fulfilling the contract. The funds have been released from escrow. Kindly update your original post with your feedback.

Also i find Referral Program there where the Commission rate is 50%. Can you tell, how this commision is calculated and does it apply to the whole amount in the contract ?

Thank you for bringing this up, UmerIdrees. The commission from the referral program is specifically for wallet top-ups made by your referral not the agreed amount of the contract.
So, if you invite someone and they top up their wallet, you'll receive 50% of their top-ups for life.

    Hello Everybody,

The escrow contracts with the following users have been completed: @AnonBitCoiner, @HONDACD125, @libert19, @Gladitorcomeback, and @GxSTxV. Thanks for joining our Review Campaign on BitcoinTalk!

    1. BitcoinTalk Username: hondacd125
    1. BitcoinTalk Username: GxSTxV

Please update your original posts with steps and short feedback. Thank you

To @YUriy1991 and @Unknown_Op: Your escrow contracts are active. Kindly fulfill the contract terms so I can release the escrowed funds. I've sent BNB to your addresses to cover the transaction fees.

    Reviews:
Feedback: All process went smoothly and I found no error/glitch or any abnormal activity. dashboard is easily understandable and newbie could also do it easily. Fee is quite low can be adjusted which is very good option. contract approval is very fast and totally free while contract fulfilled charge bnb network fee. I will recommend to make it possible to use site in Trustwallet and other mobile wallet because at that time we cannot use this service without Metamask.

Thanks for the feedback! Our team is on it. By the end of September, Zenland will support logins via MetaMask, TrustWallet, Coinbase Extension, and WalletConnect.

It was smooth for what was involved, possibly because steps were clearly outlined, and I just had to click few buttons and there was reward to do so, which was certainly generous compared to what we were tasked to do.
I have two points to make, positive being I loved how smooth the website was on mobile and negative being that live chat assistance is slow, just to check response time I sent a message, no answered received till now (more than 3 hours passed).
This might not be a big deal but since the message said live assistance, I expect live assistance, and not being so, I write this as negative  Cheesy

Thanks for pointing that out, Libert19. Currently, I'm the only one handling live assistance, but we're planning to offer 24/7 support in the future. Also, kudos for using the release function yourself after the buyer protection period ended, allowing you to withdraw the funds.

Feedback: This is my first experience with such kind of escrow system and really impressed to see such an easy, low cost system. The whole process from start to end went smoothly. dashboard is so easy to navigate. Notification is an extra positive points to check update quickly (If mail or phone number or telegram integrated with notification then it will be much better). The best features I thing is chat option which is best one which has so many benefits in decentralized escrow dealing.
I'd request same, no harm in making it optional.

Noted. That's enough for us to add it to our TODO list. We will start developing this feature in October. Thank you for your feedback.

My Feedback:[/b] My overall experience with Zenland website based application was truly outstanding. It was so easy to connect my MetaMask account with Zenland as the integration was really smooth one and the account was registered really smoothly. I think the escrow tool provided by Zenland is the most unique one and even a new user can use it without much trouble. One of the best feature of the tool is that the Contractee and Contractor can chat with each other directly. I have played with the dashboard of the tool and I must say that even a newbie can use this tool without any problem. The contract creation on this tool was pretty easy, and on contracts page you can see the status of your contracts without any hassle. I must say that my overall experience with the tool was pretty amazing!

Thanks, SamReomo, for your detailed feedback. Your reward has been sent to your BTC address.

    Hello everybody,

Thank you for approving your contracts. For everyone who approved their escrow contracts, I've deployed them to the blockchain and transferred the agreed-upon amount into escrow. Contracts have been deployed for these users: GxSTxV, AnonBitCoiner, HONDACD125, libert19, Gladitorcomeback, and Woodie. I've also transferred 0.00026 BNB (or 0.1 MATIC) to your addresses to cover the transaction fees needed to fulfill your contract. Please visit the Zenland App and fulfill your escrow contract (https://docs.zen.land/contract-actions/complete). This is your final step.

Please remember to update your original post every time you approve or fulfill a contract. By the end of the campaign, your post should resemble:

    2. Bitcointalk Profile Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile
    3. Preferred Network/Currency: BSC / USDT
    4. MetaMask address registered on Zenland

Step 1: Contract approved. Waiting for deployment.
Step 2: Contract fulfilled. Waiting for funds release.
Feedback: Overall experience is smooth and I especially like the way you can see the status of all your contracts on the Contracts page. Also, I would suggest changing the UI of the “Chats” page because it is confusing.

SamReomo, thanks for sharing your MetaMask address. I've set up a contract with an escrowed amount of 1 cent. Please head over to Zenland and approve your escrow contract.  Once the contract is completed, I'll transfer the agreed-upon amount to the provided BTC wallet.

For those who've been accepted, please login to Zenland using your MetaMask (https://app.zen.land/) and share your address.

Step 1: Contract approved. Waiting for deployment
Step 2: Contract fulfilled. Waiting for funds release.
Feedback: Overall experience was smooth, liked the fact that both parties can chat as the contract is being executed and can see when the contract will expire(** if a countdown timer was possible that would be a great addition**) . Also, I would suggest a slight adjustment of the notification bell to make it bigger for it to grab the user's attention whenever something is there, otherwise great experience on the Zenland platform.

BTw incase the contract allows for it to run for several days, is it possible to have email notifications sent to an email addy whenever a deployment is made to avoid getting to the dispute stage if a user is away from their PC ??

    Hey Woodie,

Big thanks for taking the initiative even before the official post! I was genuinely surprised to see you've already completed your contract. Your feedback is much appreciated, and I've released the funds from the escrow contract.

Noted on the bell size - we'll look into making it more noticeable. As for the email alerts: I had initially thought of setting up a separate SMTP server for that, but my preference for maximum user privacy held me back. However, if more users request this feature, I'll definitely consider adding it. It could help, especially if users aren't checking Zenland all the time.

    Hey everyone,

    Update on the process:

    1. I've set up draft contracts for: @GxSTxV, @Unknown_Op, @AnonBitCoiner, @HONDACD125, @hafiztalha, @libert19, @Gladitorcomeback, @YUriy1991 and @Woodie. When you have a moment, please visit Zenland (https://app.zen.land/) and hit "Approve" for your contract. Since I did these manually, please double-check the details. Once approved, I will deploy the contracts to the selected networks and funds will be placed in escrow.

I'm happy to see familiar faces from Zenland's initial beta campaigns returning. Your continued support and time are greatly appreciated.

    2. The following users have been accepted into the Zenland Review Campaign: @youdacapt, @BitcoinPak, @ITExpert, @cytpoway121, @Sim_card, @Awwal08, @Samurai_trieng, @UmerIdrees and @SamReomo. Kindly register on the Zenland platform and update your Original Post (OP) accordingly with your MetaMask address. This will facilitate the creation of your draft escrow contracts.

This thread will be temporarily closed until the completion of all escrow contracts with registered members.

Thank you for your participation. Your feedback is crucial for our platform.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zenland: Your Gateway To Smart Contracts on: May 10, 2023, 01:23:15 PM

    Hello terciduk123  and swiftxi,

We appreciate your interest and your questions about Zenland.

Buying and selling goods using smart contracts? what about the delivery of the goods? with whom you will partner regarding delivery services. In which country will your project operate?
Zenland is indeed built around the concept of using smart contracts to secure transactions in a decentralized way. We accommodate different types of transactions, including those related to digital goods, services, NFTs, and other online assets. Our key aim is to ensure an environment that's transparent and trustless for transactions, without the need for central entities. When it comes to delivery of physical goods, our main focus is on the financial side of transactions, so we don't partner directly with any delivery services. Zenland operates globally, as the nature of blockchain technology allows us to serve users from around the world.

I believe they fascilitate online escrow for users that operate online, buying and selling random goods.
Still I dont know of any online market, or online buy/sell website that doasent already have a well functioning implemented payment and escrow services.

Swiftxi, you're absolutely right. Zenland provides online escrow services for users dealing with various kinds of online transactions. While many online marketplaces already have payment and escrow services in place, Zenland brings the benefits of blockchain technology into the mix, such as transparency, security, and decentralization. We're offering an alternative to the traditional escrow services that exist, giving our users more autonomy and flexibility in their transactions. Zenland is not limited to a specific website marketplace (Flippa 10% fee) or freelance platform (Upwork 20% fee) - we aim to facilitate secure transactions of any kind, with a fee that's substantially lower (1.75% fee) than what you'd find on many platform-specific services.

Phase II of sales is listed to happen @March2023 , and now its May..
No allocation of funds for 300,000$ if raised.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It seems there might be some confusion around the schedule for our Phase II sales. For clarification, we concluded the presale on the 1st of May. You can verify this by reviewing the contract 0x8425cb559f0a186d26a6a01cd41f4d486a9c32bb on the BSC network, where the allocation is locked.

It's possible that the information on certain websites or platforms hasn't been updated accordingly, and we appreciate your patience as we work to ensure all information about Zenland is current across all channels.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Smart Contract for Lender and Borrower: Yay or Nay? on: March 24, 2023, 08:56:19 AM
Other than that, I think there are other issues. For example, compared to existing alternatives such as using a multi-sig to secure the loan (if it is a collateralized loan), your solution would add another insecure layer. If it is an uncollateralized loan, then the lender can easily solve this by limiting the criteria for borrowers. While your solution can help them reach other lenders, there is not enough incentive to take that risk compared to what we have right now. At least that's how I see it when I lend to somebody here.

There are a few risks with current lending contracts on BitcoinTalk. First, even though both parties use a multisig wallet to secure the collateral if the liquidation price would reach, the borrower may decide not to share the signature just for the sake of argument. In addition, it's not giving the rights to lender to scam the borrower if he decides to sell the collateral immediately after receiving it to make a 30% profit.

Your idea is similar to Kanpeki then. Last time I checked, not that many users are using the to borrow/lend, probably because most of the users are just looking to earn more profit by depositing funds to some lending pool instead of manually finding contracts and funding them. Try to check them out and see if you can improve on their model, who knows maybe you can find customers for alts lending.

Kanpeki Finance is still more B2C, but I'm talking about C2C (How currently Zenland Escrow Platform operates). With every new lending agreement, 2 users deploy a new contract into the blockchain.

But I agree that there's not enough demand for services like this. As you said, it's easier for users to deposit their money to some DeFi business and get their interest rates rather than finding people directly on forums and creating contracts with them.
    14  Economy / Services / Re: [WEB3 ESCROW] Buy & Sell P2P with Marketplace Smart Contracts | Zenland on: March 23, 2023, 08:01:06 AM
Zenland Finally you here after beta test and so on the app finally ready

    Congratulations  Wink

Thank you dansus021! Thank you for being our beta tester.

Great to see Zenland finally launch after several beta tests with the community here Cool

Btw looking at the average rates, why does ethereum attract such a high average price per contract after the blockchain got forked to fix its high fees etcetera

and if compared to BNB which attracts a mere 2 dollars the margin is huge, how was this arrived at ?!

And most importantly, good luck with your service   Smiley

The change in consensus unfortunately didn't help Ethereum network reduce the fees. Even now in the crypto winter, the deployment price would be about 40$ per contract. If we had the gas prices of the last crypto summer, the price of the deployment could easily be as high as 200$ per contract. That's why I advise using Gnosis blockchain because of the fees and credibility. Thank you Woodie! Thank you for being our beta tester.

Congratulations and Great job finalizing the impressive platform which truly represent decentralization. Your dedication to implementing smart contracts and developing a secure environment for users to trade without fear of fraud is admirable. I had the opportunity to participate in your beta testing phase twice and it was definitely worth it.
I am excited to continue using your platform and would highly recommend it for anyone who wants a secure trade.

Thank you, GxSTxV, for your words and participation in our beta campaign. Honestly, we have been working very hard to get to this milestone.

Congratulations to you guys and I feel great seeing you guys finally launching your app after several beta testing over here and I hope you get the best out of the market.
I would advice that you run a signature campaign to help in marketing your brand and just incase you need a campaign manager, there are so many trusted one out here and below are the list if the few I would recommend
    @cryptocurrencybrainboss
    @Hhampuz
    @Royse777
    @yahoo62278
    Good luck.

Thank you, Obari. Yes, we are thinking about launching a signature campaign here on bitcoin talk. We are just waiting for our first round of presale to finish to allocate more funds for marketing. A few reputable users from the forum have already reached us with offers for their signature space. I believe it's our best shot for successful growth. Thank you!

Also, for users who participated in our beta campaigns, here is our changelog https://docs.zen.land/extra/changelog. Some bugs and features have already been implemented, and some are still on our long to-do list. But you can find your usernames and links to post on bitcointalk. If you believe I forgot to mention you along with the bug/feature request we added, please let me know. I would love to add you to our changelog.

The smart contract you build specifically needs the collateral token/coin to be on the same chain or network. That won't work for some lenders or borrowers. If I want to lend a bitcoin, how do you(the smart contract) make sure it stayed as it is, without wrapping it to another token, say, WBTC? it applies to another altcoin, Monero or anything that isn't tied to what the smart contract platform is built on.

Last but not least, as you stated by yourself that it is just the same as other lending platforms within defi, what makes your platform better than the others?

Yes, you are right. The only way would be to use wrapped tokens on the same blockchain network. I understand that from the perspective of bitcoin maximalists, PoS blockchains don't have enough trust with their censorship and anonymity issues. I'm not talking about decentralization since most of the tokens in "smart contract" blockchains are owned by a small group of people tightly connected to the project's founders. I'm just trying to build something useful with the resources that I have now. Because I believe that smart contracts are the future, even though we don't have a blockchain that we can all trust to.

The second question, the difference between other lending platforms such as MakerDAO or Aave is that they have strict policies on what collateral on what interest rate you can lend and borrow (pretty much like banks) and usually everything is contained in 1 smart contract, but in my mind, I have an idea where 2 people can create and deploy a lending smart contract with the terms that only both of them agree. I mean, without big web3 companies, they can deploy the separate contract only with the terms they mutually benefit from. For example, the minimum collateral in Oasis App is 175%, but I have seen in the bitcointalk some people are willing to accept collateral as low as 130%.

Hello Bitcointalk. My name is Diornov, and I'm the founder of Zenland - a Smart Contract Platform.
Here at Zenland, we are trying to bring the smart contract to the masses, and I have a few ideas I wanted to share with you.

I see there are a lot of lending threads being open here. Most are with collateral assets such as bitcoin or other altcoins.

Would it be useful to create a lending smart contract for users of BitcoinTalk?

The idea I have in mind is 2 types of lending smart contracts - manual and automatic.

I see a lending contract this way - the lender and the borrower create a draft contract specifying the collateral, interest and liquidation rate.

Let's say the lender creates a contract and types how much he will lend for what interest rate under what collateral.
If the borrower is satisfied with the terms, he approves the contract.
Then the lender deploys the contract into the blockchain and transfers the agreed amount of stablecoins into the contract.
For the borrower to get the money from the contract, he needs to transfer the agreed amount of collateral into the contract, and only then the contract allow to release of the lent money.

Now it comes to these 2 types of contracts - manual and automatic, and I'm interested in what you think about it.

    Automatic:
If the borrower is ready to repay the loan, he transfers the agreed amount of stablecoins with interest rate into the contract.
He releases its collateral back into his wallet.
The contract is finished and executed.

Suppose the price drops below the liquidation rate specified by the lender at the beginning of contract creation.
In that case, the lender clicks the "Liquidation release" button, and the collateral is released to the lender's wallet for him to sell and cover the expenses.
The contract is finished and executed.

    Manual:
The difference with the manual lending contract is that the lender would manually release the collateral.
In liquidation, the release would happen manually with a Zenland agent if the borrower is unwilling to release the collateral to the lender for liquidation.

What am I missing here? Did I cover all the possible issues?
That's pretty much how other lending platforms work in DeFi, and I'm more interested in retail types of business when it happens p2p.

And the main question is - would you be using these types of contracts? If not, then why?

Would you be interested in wearing Zenland signature?
Nope. I don't like "smart" contracts, because usually the user has no idea how it works.

I agree. Same with bitcoin in 2009. But thank you for considering.

    Hello everyone!

I am Diornov, the founder of Zenland. Some of you already know me from our two previous beta test campaigns here on BitcoinTalk 😃

I am humbled yet excited to say "We did it!". So many people have contributed their feedback to this release v.1.1.0!

Now, that our escrow and marketplace platform is publicly available, I'm happy to help onboard new users.
We have chat support for marketplace to get you started. If you have any questions you can contact me directly, or ask our community.

Also, we can provide you with test funds (or you can always use faucets) for contract and gas fees. For Ethereum Goerli network you will need gETH and for Binance Testnet - tBNB and one stablecoin of choice (USDC, USDT, BUSD).

Let me know if you are facing any problems with faucets and need the test funds. I'd be happy to send it to you.

I was watching one trader yesterday, he lost 350k$ because he shorted bitcoin.

To make 7000$ out of 100$ I think it's possible only with meme coins in a short term. But the possibility that you will lose your 100$ is very high. Just don't ever invest through pinksale  - it's a scam place.
