Thanks for the service.
I like the service's simple privacy policy, but wen tor link?
The link will be the one that says "Privacy Policy": Privacy PolicyI'm afraid my attempt at humor may have gone misunderstood. I was asking about a tor hidden service, with an onion address for those of us that are super paranoid. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

A wise old idiom goes something like this: where interests align, a conspiracy is not required. Obviously money hungry power mongers are hungry for more money and power. This particular alignment of interests (or conspiracy, if you prefer) isn't very covert.

Well, I don't know how you are getting your BTC. There are ways to set BTC buy orders in advance so that you do not have to worry about if you have enough, and there are ways to DCA on a regular basis in order that you more or less feel prepared for UP in the event that UP ends up happening.
So many folks get too greedy and they believe that buying on the dip (and lump sum buying practices that are largely tied to buying on the dip ideas) is preferrable to DCA, and then they end up fucking around too much trying to guess the price when they likely should be realizing that if they do not have very many coins, and they are not even close to fuck you status, then it is better to not get too greedy and better not to be fucking around and waiting for lower BTC prices that may well not end up happening.
You are not the only one.. waiting for sub $12k that is likely not to happen, even though people hope for such and they spend so much time preparing their lil selfies for DOWNity that contributes towards their failure/refusal to sufficiently/adequately prepare for UP (that may or may not happen), but it hurts when UP happens and preparation for it has not sufficiently taken place.
I buy (and sometimes sell) using P2P exchanges. I can only assume that informed Americans are doing the same. I've been mining (a little) and buying (and sometimes selling,) for several years, so my average cost is well below zero. It's all about the Dollar Cost Average.

We might not know what is going to happen, but we have some pretty good ideas about bitcoin's likely direction.. even if we might not know details in terms of either price or time.. especially trying to pinpoint specifics -
The USA is attacking exchanges (mostly for their shitcoining dumbfuckery) and now Americans can't send greenbacks to the CEXs. What does bitcoin do? Blips down under $25k for too short of a time for me snag some. ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) In an ironic twist of fate, the very next week news breaks that the largest brokerage house in the world is getting on the bitcoin (albeit, ETF) bandwagon: https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/blackrock-close-filing-bitcoin-etf-coindesk-2023-06-15/Bitcoin is here to stay, and it'll continue to grow.

Learn about Tor Browser, you won't have to worry about any ip logs.
It's not possible to use Tor Browser at the first you want to create new account, you will have a problem with captcha since it can't be completed. Anyone users must created new account with his real IP, then they can access this forum through Tor Browser when he know his special code to log his account without completing a captcha. This is wrong. It's possible to register with Tor Browser if you're very patient to solve captcha (last time i'm doing it for login, it took about 5 minutes) and willing to pay pay evil fee. Using VPN would be more realistic option though. I registered using Tor Browser, and didn't have much trouble with the captchas. I don't think it took more than 2 or 3 attempts, (7 motorcycles?) but now I don't remember the exact numbers. I did get flagged for evil ip, but LoyceV helped me with that. Logging in hasn't been too difficult either, and I just found a link that provides a captcha bypass. https://bitcointalk.org/captcha_code.phpThe admin of this site have made it easy to remain private, and I appreciate that. It can be difficult at first, but I imagine that's meant to limit bot spammers.

I dont really mind my account remaining on here but the issue being my IP address being stored/logged could cause me trouble in the future. So does deleting my account remove all the stuff I posted?

Can electrum import the wallet from a WIF hdseed?

What is chain analysis? I searched multiple engines and two common results are companies selling a service. One of the companies claims to be building trust in blockchains lolz. The blockchain is already trusted that's the point. By what method to these companies determine which coins are tainted? Are their methods audited for accuracy? Why are they trusted? Does Wasabi Wallet do their own chain analysis? Sorry for all the questions.

I only want the one receiving address that I used from my old hierarchical wallets.
Can I ask way? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I don't really see any issue with having the other types of addresses stored in your wallet... it's simple enough to add a label that says "do not use" if you're concerned about accidentally using the incorrect type. At the end of the day, they're just different representations of the same private key. You can ask. ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif) jaja j/k Just because I don't want to make a mistake and breach my privacy. I used labels and just thought to ask for a better way. For redeemscript I used the address as the string, is that correct? Here is the example of what I did. As the above two posters have noted, redeemscript needs to be the actual script itself, and not just the address. Since you've said that the script in question is a straight forward nested segwit script, then you can follow DireWolfM14's instructions to grab the script from Electrum. You could also import the private key in to another Core wallet using importprivkey, and then get the script by using getaddressinfo on the P2SH address. Or if the address has ever been spent from, then you could look it up on mempool.space and extract the script from that transaction. Here's a recent example where if you click on details you can see the necessary data listed under "ScriptSig" on the left: https://mempool.space/tx/bb283826e76e5454d5e8bd26edbfe326aead40ca0af5393baf3b0790565a71d0For nested segwit, the script will take the format 0x0014, followed by 20 bytes (40 characters) of hex. Thank you again. I found it using tt]getaddressinfo[/tt] but it wasn't named "redeemscript" it was named "hex" and "scriptPubKey". Good thing I first used the example address and matched the script to the one DireWolfM14 shows. Thanks to everyone for the help, issue solved.

Use importmulti instead. In the console on Bitcoin Core, use the following command, replacing the "address" field with either the P2PKH or P2WPKH address you want to import, and the "key" field with the relevant private key: importmulti '[{ "scriptPubKey": { "address": "1DJzqVWae3V7Qff8B5ep5BK9TJf9r9ayT9" }, "timestamp":1656962234, "keys": [ "KwFvTne8vjodvyGm8RdDFFsqdnQC2fxi4F7yJtvj2WbSnDBJXWGb" ]}]' You'll want to change the timestamp field to a Unix epoch time before those keys were created so Core knows how far back to rescan. If you aren't sure, just set it to 0 to perform a full rescan. If you want to import a P2SH or P2SH-P2WPKH address, then you'll also need to include the redeemscript field, as explained in https://bitcoincore.org/en/doc/22.0.0/rpc/wallet/importmulti/Thank you for the help I hope I did it right. I have each type of address to import. For redeemscript I used the address as the string, is that correct? Here is the example of what I did. bitcoin-cli importmulti '[{ "scriptPubKey": { "address": "1DJzqVWae3V7Qff8B5ep5BK9TJf9r9ayT9" }, "label": "The Pit and the Pendulum", "timestamp":0, "keys": [ "KwFvTne8vjodvyGm8RdDFFsqdnQC2fxi4F7yJtvj2WbSnDBJXWGb" ]}, { "scriptPubKey": { "address": "bc1qel5xqtf3eqn5qx6awmxkq6znspcsn24s3slssv" }, "label": "The Tell-Tale Heart", "timestamp":0, "keys": [ "L4PcFcFYJwsLmGWzerApmLFnwRzzS8VUC2xhJJjLap5QcHaNr77G" ]}, { "scriptPubKey": { "address": "3E1cyAbo6X3QG8RmpF7vNUn2sWSxaFVZck" }, "redeemscript": "3E1cyAbo6X3QG8RmpF7vNUn2sWSxaFVZck", "label": "The Mureders in the Rue Morgue", "timestamp":0, "keys": [ "KyvxDGMHHPf5aomJowLENyHtgpVjbz8gsmmxgbaQ6U2BXfdjp4w2" ]}]' Core is rescanning now, so I'll know if a few hours. I don't know the time stamps for the addresses so I used 0.

Hello forum,
When I import private keys into my core wallet I get three receiving addresses for each private key. I only want the one receiving address that I used from my old hierarchical wallets. Is there a way to import only the segwit or only the legacy or only the p2sh-p2wpkh without the other two?
