1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering casino bonus on: September 29, 2025, 05:52:15 PM
I think there are some casino bonus that would require you to wager with a specific amount on each spin, the essence is to make sure that the gambler doesn't meet up with that wagering requirement because if the amount is fixed, when the gambler stakes with a low amount, they wouldn't be able to easily meet that requirement before running out of bonus money. I have not experienced it myself but someone spoke about it, that the bonus they got, the wagering requirement came with a specific amount.
The kind of bonus which I have specifically experienced is the type where you will be given the bonus amount and will be required to wager it up to a certain number of times and not to win a specific amount; no matter how small or big you win or play, you will have to win till you reach that requirement. The only amount limit I have noticed is the normal wager limit.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Live bet risky for betting companies on: September 29, 2025, 05:45:19 PM
I understand some live score can be faster but nearly five minutes is too far between. So sport betting platforms that has live score should have up to date live score to not get caught but is it still a risky for them or it is completely covered.
Every sporting site will always make use of a reliable data source which will not make them run into a loss. That 5-minute gap is way too much; this is not something of seconds. Maybe they should probably have a direct live stream from the field which they can use as a data source and not have to rely on other live score channels. If such 5-minute gaps happen and delay them from displaying the current score, it could cost them a whole lot, especially in a situation where they could have cancelled cash out.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Frankly speaking $20 M/ BTC is my final target... what's yours? on: September 29, 2025, 05:33:47 PM
Every target is achievable if the person who set the target is ready to keep pushing and accumulating. People might laugh at your target, but as long as you keep pushing, even if you don't achieve that target, you will get close to that amount with Bitcoin price increases over the year or your holding amount increasing. Personally, if I can be able to gather up to 2 bitcoin, I will be very happy. I don't ask for much.
4  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be conscious of p2p market prices on: September 29, 2025, 04:43:38 PM
We should have one dedicated scam thread for Bybit to pass down warnings; maybe the admin will merge them all together someday.

You made a mistake. Sometimes once you click on an ad and the rate changes, they might send you a notification to reconfirm, which if you don't pay attention, you might not grab, and secondly, you as the seller with the higher rate of scam always make sure to double-check everything before clicking on 'release payment' because once it's done, it can't be undone.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks in the US Now Free to Play with Blockchain? on: September 29, 2025, 04:28:42 PM
Absolutely. When the OCC has a much friendly stance, the US banks may seem secured offering service that are crypto related, such as custody, payments or even settlement. Institutional backings such as these normally increases confidence and makes way  for broader adoption of Bitcoin and other digital assets.
Adoption and widespread use of business starts with friendly regulation on that particular subject. Now that the OCC is creating a soft landing for all, definitely the banking sector will start to offer service to crypto users, as they have been missing out on the possible profit they could have been making, which restriction and regulatory concern have prevented them from.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why does most of the none-reputable casino cook up stories on: September 29, 2025, 03:47:37 PM
You know one thing, any casino that has chosen not to be transparent or that doesn't care about the reputation of their company will only end up losing its customers, if people visits the casino, it's only when they see a bonus offer and after done with the bonus, they abandon the casino and still continue with their favorite casino.
From the onset, those selective scammers and the casinos that advertise as if it's all easy to win money and escape poverty through it are far behind their real intention. To be on the safer side, it's even better to avoid all those newly born casinos which make offers that are unrealistic and offer themselves to be a KYC-free casino, while they have a KYC policy which they can enforce anytime.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose a reliable casino on: September 29, 2025, 02:50:35 PM
The Google algorithm, if you search through it, will find the most reliable casino; they will only suggest based on the review and what others have suggested, even from paid and sponsored reviews. This forum at least will give you options with both the casino's past and present issues and how they handled them, and personal reviews from forum members who have used the casino personally.
I sort of disagree with you here. My 2 first google results are sponsored links, and after that rest that rest of them are very shady looking review sites i have never heard of. They might as well been paid to give 5 stars and there's no guarantee that those high ranked casinos wouldn't own those sites.

Other links i get are reddit posts, and that site is notorious for being used to spam ads that are meant to look like real posts.

Only sites you can trust are forums that aren't moderated for having different opinions.
I kind of understand the reason why you disagree with my statement, which is because of the mistake of "to", which autocorrect replaced with "will", but if you read my statement completely, you will understand that we are saying the same thing. Google Search is terrible in terms of trying to suggest good results; it's almost every time showing results based on who paid to be at the top.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Back then, people gambled whole Bitcoins - imagine the value today on: September 29, 2025, 02:07:49 PM
So for discussion purposes,
Do you think the players back then had no idea about the future value, or they just didn’t care?
Those players back then contributed to Bitcoin growth. There was data shared on this gambling board which shows the amount of transactions back then which flowed through the casino. Then the value was very low, and they could have used anything worth that value if Bitcoin was not an option.

We don't need to start thinking about what they could have been worth now, as the coin did not go to waste, and it went straight into the hand of another who might have also spent it, sold it, or held it in a private wallet waiting for when to cash out.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking risks responsibly. on: September 29, 2025, 01:35:30 PM
Since gambling is uncertain, it's the more reason we should use the money we can afford to lose to gamble because this measure will help to eliminate the border to figure out how to take calculated risks. If you use the money you can afford to lose to gamble, when you lose the money, you won't be worried because you know that it won't affect you in any way.  In gambling, losing has a higher percentage than winning because gamblers have more looses than winnings in a season.
No matter how little money there is, there are those who will still feel pained for losing I don't mean when you place a single bet and lose; I mean when the gambler loses their entire bankroll and is unable to at least make something out of it. People use the amount they are comfortable losing to place a single bet; some fund their account with more than that, which becomes a big problem for them if they are unable to properly manage it and if luck is not on their side.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose a reliable casino on: September 29, 2025, 01:24:37 PM

I totally agree with you, mate. This is the best reply in this thread.

Google, unfortunately, can't give you a proper answer, but this forum can.
The Google algorithm, if you search through it, to find the most reliable casino; they will only suggest based on the review and what others have suggested, even from paid and sponsored reviews. This forum at least will give you options with both the casino's past and present issues and how they handled them, and personal reviews from forum members who have used the casino personally.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling discussion❌ Advertising ✅ on: September 29, 2025, 01:15:59 PM
And it's been almost how many hours? The OP of the thread has not come back to update and answer the questions which have been sent to him in respect to what he means by here turning into an advertising zone instead of the supposed gambling discussion board.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your price speculation of bitcoin in October. on: September 28, 2025, 11:55:01 PM
Going to stay positive but i don't have an actual reason or logic for saying bullish.

September wasn't special, we saw bitcoin stayed longer at its lowest than it went up, with all the reasons we gave speculating September, the market went in decline and in its own way. My excitement is not now or crossing $118K, until we cross $150K everything else is just not interesting.
Until we cross $150k, everything seems uninteresting to you; you must be among the greedy traders we have out there 😁.

Well, sorry to disappoint you, but even at the end of next month, which is Uptober, the chances for Bitcoin to reach $150k are very low, so you just have to shift your expectations date a bit further and allow us who are waiting for the market to recover and push up above $113k to sit and watch it with happy faces.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling discussion❌ Advertising ✅ on: September 28, 2025, 11:38:46 PM
Hello every one, I guess I'm not the only one who noticed that a place where we once know as a forum for discussing about gambling and making our selves better in gambling, Is now an advertising forum, I came looking for discussion that will enlighten me as a gambler, but to my greatest surprise I can't see non.
Yes advertising is part of it but it has now overweight the true purpose if the forum. Which in my own perspective it's wrong, I think measures  should be taken to minimise the rate of at which we make advertisement in the forum.

Do you know that this board has a section for gambling discussion and a general gambling board? The discussion section should be where you are looking for where you can see all manner of topics in relation to how to avoid being addicted and the rest of them.

On the other hand, this forum is not mainly for discussion about gambling; rather, it’s mainly for Bitcoin discussion. Gambling and other things are secondary.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins and Inflation on: September 28, 2025, 11:35:19 PM
This shows how crypto adapts to real-world problems, offering solutions where traditional finance struggles. But it also raises questions about control and regulation. Will stablecoins become everyday money in places facing inflation or stay tools for traders only?
Becomes everyday money? If any country can allow other countries' fiat to come and overthrow their own local currency, then it might work that way. A stablecoin like USDT is the same as using physical USD cash; it's better to just save and hold physical USD when it comes to larger quantities than to hold USDT, even if the purpose is to save yourself from inflation, as Tether and the 3-letter agency can decide any day to freeze users' funds while they're in the person's personal wallet.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about profit. on: September 28, 2025, 11:25:57 PM
I got confused and started thinking if really I was the cause of what happened. I want to ask how many of you here have been blamed for someone else losses.

If you were in my shoes how will you feel.
The guy should first of all see himself as the energy for himself before putting blame on another person. If he is the one with the sure game and is unable to raise money to place the bet, why get angry at another for not also having the same money? The guy is not serious, and none of my friends will even try that rubbish, as I will be the first to distance myself from him or her even before they do.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your Key not your coin (86 million bank accounts shutdown) on: September 28, 2025, 11:17:43 PM
Yes all the more reason to own bitcoin and own it well. You dont want to fall victim to crap like this, it’s inhumane and just plain wrong to be doing this type of thing to your own people and making scamble to meet some BS deadline. I would be so pissed. This is just too bad
People I pity the most for this type of situation are those who are foreigners to the country, as it will really be a living hell to wake up and notice that your account has been closed with no remedy. Nothing, nothing. They may be fighting crime, no doubt, but there is still a better way of doing things than using a deadline to get people's money stocked and completely fortified.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering casino bonus on: September 28, 2025, 07:53:19 PM
In such situations I would rather go for a deposit without a deposit bonus than allow my deposit to get stuck where I will struggle to meet up with the requirement, which means I might empty what I deposited even before getting started. Some bonuses are just traps to lure the gambler into the impossible.
For us, it might be considered a trap but for them it is a marketing strategy to attract customers, and yes that's how it works, very few people can get good luck, because I still believe there are a few players who can come out very well in the casino by utilizing bonuses like that.

That is a conservative act that is good bro, for us all are bad hallucinations in gambling, but surely there are people who are targeting a deposit bonus and can be said not a few.
Yeah, it's indeed a marketing strategy. Some casinos even offer those bonuses as welcome bonuses without too much deposit amount, like they will just want you to deposit a certain amount, as little as possible, to be able to enjoy the bonus. Where you will have to face the little challenge is trying to meet that wager requirement; once it's reached, it's yours. If the bonus wager requirement can come separately and that of the deposit also separately, it will be easy for players.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it still gambling if you're sure you're going to win? on: September 28, 2025, 07:26:29 PM
Gambling is indeed not a place to make money, but having the hope that something can come out of it is also not a bad thing. On the other hand, anything you pay more to enjoy should have a chance of getting some back, even if it's considered to be a bonus. The only place I hold something against some gamblers is when they consider it to be their major source of income; it will ruin them and make them spend the little they have without getting any significant thing out of it.
Gambling is of different categories in which an individual is deeply involved. There are those who only gamble for fun and there are also those who gamble to make ends meets. Whichever way it is I still believe that people are making money from gambling in as much as people are also losing money from it. The habit of seeing gambling as a major source of income is one of the addiction to gambling.
And do you know that it's easier for someone who is solely gambling for money to get addicted to gambling than someone who is gambling for another purpose? Not as if someone who is gambling for fun can't get addicted, but when you are looking for money, you can easily start chasing profit, and when it doesn't come, you will start chasing your losses, and the higher the amount, the harder it becomes to recover, which is how deep the gambler will be getting into gambling.
19  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I'm worried about the current exchange rate, aren't you? on: September 28, 2025, 07:16:42 PM
But if Nigeria start to be good, deflation is another bad thing. Naira is appreciating in price but goods and services are expensive. Only food price fall but others like phones, laptops are not falling. They even increase in price a bit. Stable economy is better. Naira should not really appreciate and should not also really fall is what we want.
And this is exactly where most of us find the problem; even the price of foodstuff is not going down as we all think, as I still go to the market to restock kitchen stuff and spend almost the same or more than I usually spend.

Let's not even go into building materials costing, as things are not even smiling at all irrespective of how the dollar is going down. To some extent, I think the pricing of things in this country is not just based on the dollar value, but the salespeople are naturally being too greedy, and customer service is even making things worse in this country with their over-high clearing charges.
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: They Said Bitcoin is Dead, But Now Governments Keep Accumulating on: September 28, 2025, 06:38:45 PM
From this position, there is nothing to make Bitcoin fall behind. Bitcoin will become much more valuable in the future. Maybe even if there is a bear market. Maybe the price of Bitcoin may never fall again. I believe its popularity and demand will take Bitcoin to unprecedented heights.
And that bad news back then each time Bitcoin experienced a drop was part of the things which pushed Bitcoin to where it is today. Those who criticised Bitcoin were doing it to shame it without even realising that they were indirectly running free marketing for it and making it more popular than it had been, and I also strongly believe that back then if Bitcoin had had no critics, it could not have gained the power it has now. All of those made us who we are today.
