1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling has better odds than holding your local currency on: Today at 01:36:17 PM
If you're investing in Bitcoin you know you'd actually yield something but putting in so much into efforts to investing in gambling is just not a sustainable means to raise money and accumulate future funds/income.Invariably, investing in Bitcoin or investing in gambling are different and the primary outcome continues to differ.

It's not even gambling investment they are doing, investment in gambling could be buying of casino shares or staking some money in casinos which in not really the same thing as gambling by chance but in this case, OP is talking about gambling which is not a very wise idea.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using auto-bet bots on crypto casinos smart or suicide? on: Today at 01:21:00 PM
Likewise with me, am not a fan of it and like we discussed before, someone who wants to make money from gambling will always seek the easy way which is the automatic bot that can make things easier for them but for the sake of enjoying the fun too, I prefer the manual way of gambling because it can make someone think well too.
Making extra money using this bots can be really nice and makes a lot of sense but I fear if these bot turn out with some errors, that will be another challenge that the gambler will have to tackle of which by then it would have coat them some money already meanwhile they were hoping to Making all of the most of profit from this bot in most cases.

Even with bits, you can still get som e entertainment only that it will be different as compared to the ones where you get directly involved with the gambling and not the bots getting it done for you.

If the bot can not help make more profit than the human gamblers that would have been better  and if it operates like that, many people will start using it but there's no way it provides more win than the manual gambling patterns, tho they could still have fun while gambling with it but what makes it so important when it can not be profitable?
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times you hit the x1000 in sweet bonanza? on: Today at 12:35:02 PM
But I must be sincere though, I am not a frequent player of slot games and gambling in general, and times I chooos stop gamble, I most likely would or will choose sports betting instead of playing slot games, though I do play slots sometimes but like I said before, not frequently, like for example, I've not played any slot game in the past 4 or 5 months, but I've placed bets on sports several times I can't even count.
So maybe this is the reason why I am yet to hit a x1000 multiplier or even more.

I even think that it's impossible to hit the high multiplyers of these slot games and it's extremely my luck before one can get it and it also comes once in a while, I remember the day I played plinko for a very long hour just because I was targeting a high multiplyer but it didn't happen. I just like sports betting because it requires skills too not just completely on luck like slot games. Any day I wi hit this 1k multiplayer on slot, I pray it should be with huge amount.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling played a bigger role in Bitcoin adoption? on: Today at 11:41:54 AM
I think there was just a similar discussion lately, which I agreed with that gambling played a wide role too in Bitcoin adoption, many people got to know about Bitcoin because casinos made it possible for them do deposit it Bitcoin since they had faced some challenges in making deposit with their local currencies but with Bitcoin I guess many people were able to gamble since they could easily buy the Bitcoin and deposit to the casinos like yourself.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are these guidelines by our government enough to lessen the growing addiction on: Today at 11:25:55 AM
Well, I think this rules are going to help reduce the level of addiction or help to regulate individual's gambling lifestyle so that they don't even get addicted in the first place. Another thing is to reduce the number of underage gamblers, that's what the facial verification will do. Some of the advice we give here to help prevent addiction is that gambler should have a limit of the amount they can spend, that's what the government are trying to do, making sure people will not go above a certain limit. I think it's fair.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you’re gonna CASH OUT, Why PARLAY in the first place? on: Today at 11:02:28 AM
Well, this is like a regular method for me and I don't find it stressful in any way. If for example I stake on a single game of 2:00 odd and maybe I received a cash out offer while the game is still on, the amount offered will not be same as to when I staked on a parlay of 10 games which about 7 or 8 games has already played successfully, the reason that make me take cash out is if I lose confidence in the remaining games. The method is not challenging for me.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Algeria, lead to crypto ban on: Today at 10:51:32 AM
Step by step they will have to open their guard towards crypto. And even if it takes a long time until the government does so, citizens still can continue using crypto, because it's decentralized.

That's true, despite the ban, most citizens will still secretly deal on cryptocurrencies because it decentralized and doesn't need approval from anyone before you can have it and you can secure your crypto in a personal wallet that no body will find out about and you can access it any day as long as you keep your security keys safe. If there's a new government in that country, it might soften the law again for crypto users. As for gambling, it will continue with fait and with time everyone will still feel comfortable to use the fiat.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If Not for Gambling, Would We All Be Richer in Bitcoin Today? on: Today at 10:37:37 AM
Personally, I don't think Bitcoin is suitable for gambling because I consider it a very rare commodity that should be protected. Therefore, it should be avoided for betting or gambling purposes if possible. Recently, I have preferred using other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins for gambling.

Then you don't need to gamble with Bitcoin, it's your choice and like you said Bitcoin is a true valuable asset but people who prefer Bitcoin for gambling must only be buying it specifically for that purpose and only when they are gambling is when they might buy Bitcoin to deposit it for gambling. Like me too, I don't gamble with Bitcoin but with Fiat am good. The Bitcoin I have is specifically for only holding and considering that I will have to spend some fee to deposit Bitcoin to the casinos is even discouraging for me but with Fiat, no fee is paid by me.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double spending exploits in early cypto casinos <> on: Today at 10:07:56 AM
Tho is was not yet present at online casinos or gambling platforms when they experienced this issues and I was not also into Bitcoin yet during the double spend issues but from things I read, I got to learn that many people got affected, if that's the case then casinos will definitely have had some huge or small losses by smart people that knows how to manipulate the transaction.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Unjust application of the law? on: Today at 09:45:26 AM
It's unfair that the poor can not fight for them because they lack the resources to do that, while the rich are people that seems to have an immunity against the same law that was designed for both the poor and the rich, that's really what will even show how corrupt the leaders of the country can be, in the aspect of gambling it might not be happening like that in other countries but that does not mean that there are no other form of corruption in some countries.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not winning anything with free spins on: August 07, 2025, 03:49:11 PM
I have  not won any significant amount from free spins, it could just be small amount which I would try to see if I can double it but at the end, nothing significant is being won but in bookies, I have won a little but cool profit with the cash back bonus they give me.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Algeria, lead to crypto ban on: August 07, 2025, 03:18:25 PM
Recently, Algeria made a move to ban cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and USDT, or actually set to penalties and even prison knowing that we already have a law in 2018 prohibiting Bitcoin as every Algerian citizen knows. While the official line was crypto is illegal, the recent update and real reason might be much more connected to gambling than most think.

Let me explain as an Algerian citizen who seen thinks and heard from many known rulers.
So the government of Algeria is banning cryptocurrency use in their country as a measure to curb the rising number of gamblers in the country. Oh wow, that sounds really dumb for a government to think that way as a real solution to gambling addictions in their country.

Well, exactly what I thought too and like I said on my previous comment, the government are not dump, they already know that their actions will not stop the rising gambling conditions and based on the feedback I got on my previous comments, I got to find out that this country has never been friendly with Bitcoin right from time, which OP also mentioned, so we can assume or agree that their could be other reason for banning crypto, not really because of gambling.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If Not for Gambling, Would We All Be Richer in Bitcoin Today? on: August 07, 2025, 02:58:46 PM
There's no guarantee we'd have such a large sum if we hadn't gambled. Perhaps we'd have sold our bitcoin when it was worth $10k. Or perhaps we'd sold it for other pleasures or spent it on other things that would have made us even more wasteful. Gambling shouldn't be a reason we can't become rich. It all depends on how we manage our finances. If we earn $1000 a month, $100 for gambling, and $300 for investing in bitcoin, I believe we'd still be rich with the current value of our BTC.

Yes, what you said made so much sense, even if it was not on gambling, some people would have still spent their Bitcoin on other bills or other activities of fun like the guy that bought pizza with Bitcoin, some people also sold their Bitcoin when the price was still low like $1k or $2k and they didn't buy more because they were scared that the price might not go up again. It's now that Bitcoin price has gone so far that most people are realizing the actual possibilities that Bitcoin has. If you read the news or speculation of years back, so people said Bitcoin was a scam that it will never grow to $10k and finally it did and they said it was not going to get to $100k but it did and people are now more serious to invest.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anxiety have any effects on gambling ? on: August 07, 2025, 02:38:05 PM
It could be different for other people, though. However, gambling while bearing a negative feeling is not good. Negative feeling equates to bad luck.

This is just a superstitious believe by some gamblers because it's not totally true that when you have a negative feelings it will affect your luck, these luck in question happens randomly irrespective of how someone is feeling but being anxious is just like a natural feeling that some people have when they go gambling because they are scared off losing.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we avoid addictions in gambling? on: August 07, 2025, 02:21:37 PM
Having budget(something  you can afford to loose without afecting you) for your gambling activities and taking break once you hit the limit, wit these two you should befree of addiction  .. if you’re  thinking what can I do in thase periods, then go for walks to get it off your minds, you can try video gaming as it can also get it off your mind.. just find something that will keep you occupied at those periods it shouldn’t be that hard.. I guess it been discussed a lot here you can find those threads too and go through it..

You are right, having a gambling budget is a behavior that can help avoid gambling addiction if it's being practiced by a gambler and it can enforce self discipline too. Most importantly, if someone can start practicing these behaviors when they just started gambling, that will be cool and will help the person master the responsible gambling behavior quick so they won't be tempted to become addicted at the end.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times you hit the x1000 in sweet bonanza? on: August 07, 2025, 02:02:07 PM
Slot games are fun to gamble on because if you are lucky enough you can get a high value odd...in all my years of playing slots games I haven't aimed for more than x100, it's very shocking when people hit odds like x1000... Getting such multiplier isn't easy, most times you can end up losing a lot of money before winning such a huge odd.. it's all about luck and hitting the right timing but it's something that cannot be chased

Yea, during my years of gambling, it has been very difficult to have such win in slot game not even in sport betting but at least I try to combine multiple games to get a parlay with a big odd that I should give me a big potential win or a big cash-out. It really requires luck for someone have such huge multiplayer both on slot and sport parlay.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using auto-bet bots on crypto casinos smart or suicide? on: August 07, 2025, 10:22:59 AM
Auto-bet might make things easier, but for me, it takes away the fun. In luck-based games, the longer you play, the more the house edge eats you up, so there’s no real reason to stay in too long. It’s better to play using your own strategy and just hope you get lucky. If you let auto-bet do everything, you’re basically removing the excitement, and that’s the whole reason we’re still gambling, even though we all know most of us lose more than we win.

That's right, I do feel that auto bot is made for an easy means by players that doesn't want to spend time working on any strategy that they know nothing about or nothing about the game, so they just want to let the bot do the betting or wagering while they expect the best result.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash-out option: Could it be a way to deny us from getting huge wins? on: August 07, 2025, 07:26:25 AM
The cash-out features in gambling platforms is to be used at the expense of gamblers self will and not by duress. If you think you bet on a game that will give you a huge win, then why do you go ahead to use the cash-out option? I have created a topic like this in the past (if not on this forum then it's on another forum), yea, but I know that the cash-out option is serving a good purpose which also has its disadvantaged.  Take for example, if you staked $40 in a sports game and maybe along the line, the team changes some options and you know that they can no longer win the match, at some point, the bookie will allow you to stop the game and take some cash-out instead of letting your $40 go at waste.

Instead of missing some huge win while targeting the potential win, the Cash-out option will help you take the initial profit, but it's a two edges sword since the game can still end up hitting your potential win after you already cashed out, that's your experience right now. But remember, you don't have to use the option if you don't want.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taken loan to gamble is very risky, what do you think? on: August 07, 2025, 06:49:08 AM
@OP, there are many similar topics on this board but I guess you started this topic because of your friend who ended up in debt because he took a loan to gamble and ended up losing the bet. On this board, there are so many similar cases and other cases of people that used up the money that they were asked to keep, instead of keeping the money safely since it's not there's, they used it for gambling and lost it. I believe you already know the answer to the question you asked because your the experience of your friends explains it all why people don't need to borrow money for gambling. There's nothing more to say that is more than the incident that happened with your friend.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling has better odds than holding your local currency on: August 07, 2025, 05:46:46 AM
Normally as a good gambler that knows what gambling is all about would never in any way think of using gambling is back up because doing that would definitely lead you into more losses at the end of the day. Of course investing in Bitcoin and hold for a long period of time is far better than relying on gambling, because once you invest in Bitcoin and plan for future purposes there is a high chance of getting profits at last.

Well is not really about being a good gambler, it's more about choices and fast desires by some people, though they might know the risk involved by they just want to get on with the activity to try their luck like everyone else did. That urgency of wanting it faster than the normal gradual process is why some people trust the gambling process despite knowing the risk involved.
