1  Economy / Economics / Re: INFLATION, A MOTIVATION TO INVEST IN CRYPTOFASHIONS on: March 29, 2024, 07:11:54 PM

While Laidler encourages retail investors to start buying crypto he is pointing out the AI assets on stocks.

With inflation all over, no one is benefiting from all this but clearly, the gap between haves and have-nots is getting wider and this is the manifestation of the wealth distribution in the society where the middle class is almost over. What would be left are just rich and poor.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Rebound This Week on: January 23, 2024, 05:18:55 PM
Besides, look at the chart, it is extremely bearish, and this is not even the time to think of any bullish attempt. Just be patient my friend, we will first see this bearish effect subsiding before we can have any hope in Bitcoin bullishness for now.
yes, Panic selling!!! I think the resistance level of $38k will be retained by the market this week. Panic selling is continuing with FTX- GBTC which is why it happened so quickly since the 42k BTC level last week. Bitcoin ETF is also part of their motivation to accumulate more, and they seem to take this price seriously,... then I expect a big recovery with a green candle very soon. This scenario will soon end this weekend. Prepare DCA plan and be ready to wait for it

38k is the resistance but doesn't look like the bottom either. Too many analyses and this panic sell is making the price dive deeper. There's got to be on 32k that made those guys say it's the strongest resistance which could also be the bottom.

But seems a good time to DCA.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Sanction On Mixers Would Make This Forum Boring on: December 10, 2023, 02:02:48 PM
I just read the post by the admin stating that mixers will be banned on the forum from January 1. Considering that mixers and casinos seem to be the biggest advertisers here, I foresee a drop in revenue for the forum. The way I see it, it implies that the government is still in charge of the direction Bitcoin moves. If they cannot control Bitcoin, they can move against the appurtenances of the cryptocurrency: mixers, exchanges, who knows... even this forum, etc. With the popularity of the USD dwindling, who knows what else could happen to Bitcoin, the challenger? What do you think?

They are just not allowed but the users will still be here. The mixers will be moving on to other forums as we have seen recently they have already started on Altcoinstalks. There could be division but I think the goal of BTC will still be the same and adoption is taking place, the bargain I think is the ETF approval.

5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: September 21, 2022, 11:25:33 PM
Since the market is currently experiencing a bear, you should accumulate rather than panicking. Additionally, Bitcoin is not for impatient people; you should be disciplined to hold despite the state of the market because Bitcoin will bounce back in a short period of time.

Easier said than done. When thier lives depend on how much they have in thier account, they will protect it from the plunging value and then buy back when the market finally calms down. This week is not calm. BTC price they are saying could dip below $15k.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Largest exchange in Philippines to list SHIB !!! on: July 18, 2022, 01:48:50 AM
Kind of late? Or is Shib planning to do something to bring out its hype once again so coins decided to do this or something? I don't even know people who use coins.ph as their wallet, I myself use it to simply convert my crypto to fiat if I need it quickly enough (not that any custodial wallet should be considered). I doubt listing Shib would do anything, whether it be this exchange or any other exchange out there. Not to mention that coins may be the largest exchange in ph, but I don't think most people even use it as such.

Listing Shib is too late I agree with that. Coins.ph is the most popular wallet in the country, its just like Revolut or Coinbase in US. I use to like it since it's easy to use and cash out crypto. The company however plays trick after every bullrun because they suspend withdrawals or prevent you from converting your BTC to local currency.
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bank of America reported a 50% decline of active cryptocurrency users. on: July 07, 2022, 02:33:21 PM

It's just the activity that is declining but once the market trend changes to bull, they'd deactivated and probably will soon be buying back the BTC and altcoins they once held. It's very natural to stop when the market is unpredictable. It's wise to just stop when you know you can't make money.
8  Other / Archival / Re: What do you expect from bitcoin in the second half of 2022? on: June 10, 2022, 06:05:21 AM

Many TA speculators sees the price has bottomed. I would expect the price to jump high.

If it weren't for those wallstreet guys trying to liquidate the leverage traders to hit thier margin call. BTC may actually go up by now. JPmorgan estimated the actual value of BTC is actaully $38K. Maybe they tend to lure people to go for futures and they're trying to liquidate those traders.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know why Bitcoin price is dropping down ? Don't Ask Satoshi ? Just buy ! on: May 12, 2022, 03:04:41 AM

It is a millionaire advice.
The market must be calm down before a recovery. Bitcoin will be fine because history proves it but I am not sure about UST or LUNA.
Its a millionaire's advice that also works for the rich. LUNA is a disaster. Do Kwon's promise to repegged UST is just no guaranteeing to make it to the top again. Very uncertain now, halving is the answer.[/list]
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIP LUNA & UST ! Is USDD be same like that.. on: May 11, 2022, 08:27:30 AM

Now $0.30, how in the world did they get there being stablecoin? LOL
This is a result of an attack to there stablecoin. I read some article on twitter thats shows how much the attacker spend just to depegged UST to its current price. The rest is just a panic sell same with LUNA. I think LUNA will revisit again it's original price which is below 1$ since the dev team is still silent and I doubt that they can present a emergency plan that minimize loss of there asset, investors already loss trust and price need to visit the strong support in able to bounce back again. I still believe on this project but I will not gonna buy at this sell pressure though.

That's one strategy. The trust is broken, however. Even if they solve this de pegging, it tainted this Defi project. Luna will be the hardest to promote and pump up because of its price drowning the well. The chance could be high if its price goes back up to $30-50 or something. This is another blowback to crypto in general.

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Other forums about (cryptocurrency) gambling? on: December 15, 2021, 02:06:27 PM

The point in advertising is to expose the casino or the gambling related company to the users who are potential clients for the business to thrive. Advertsing in a Gambling forum that is not visited by thousands of users may not be worth. This is why bitcointalk matters for casinos that they pay a lot to be exposed here and not on other forums.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Arthur Hayes' latest article - Circo Loco on: December 12, 2021, 12:57:01 PM
For those who will maintain their macro crypto exposure, but must allocate amongst various coins, the coins that outperform will probably be Metaverse, Play-2-Earn, or NFT-related.

I'm wondering why metaverse is receiving so much hype, despite not having progressed past being a vaporware product.

This is one angle that comes to mind.

Elon Musk said Neuralink hopes to start implanting its brain chips in humans in 2022, later than he anticipated

Elon Musk has said that Neuralink, his brain-interface technology company, hopes to start implanting its microchips in human beings next year.

Neuralink, cofounded by Musk in 2016, is developing a chip that would be implanted in people's brains to simultaneously record and stimulate brain activity. It is intended to have medical applications such as treating serious spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders.

During a live-streamed interview at The Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit on Monday, Musk was asked what Neuralink planned to do in 2022.

Musk said: "Neuralink's working well in monkeys and we're actually doing just a lot of testing and just confirming that it's very safe and reliable and the Neuralink device can be removed safely."

He added: "We hope to have this in our first humans — which will be people that have severe spinal cord injuries like tetraplegics, quadriplegics — next year, pending FDA approval."

There have not been many new developments in virtual reality.

Elon Musk's neuralink brain implant could someday progress to becoming a jack in point to the internet (or matrix). Which would coincide with a VR landscape. I'm wondering if the hype is related to neuralink developments. Or if there is another angle aside from basic finance that could fuel the hype.

Elon Musk's neuralink brain implant looks too dangerous already. The internet had already managed to control our behaviors. Evidence shows we are influenced by the adverts shown on our phones because the bots are listening to us as we speak.  If we use that VR world with Elon Musk's neuralink brain implant, we will probably just lay down all our lives life watching adverts while eyes all white.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: December 11, 2021, 01:51:37 AM

Saw some influencers actually believe ETH will outrank BTC because of the smart contract advantage and then the future which is the metaverse too. Raoul Pal is also one of these influencers who did believe the same thing. They are spreading this information for months now, one would think they purposely want people to sell their BTC for ETH.

15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 11, 2021, 01:30:17 AM

This is a big opportunity for those that have the money to buy right now, now that a lot of alt coins and bitcoin is going down, I think that it's a good time to start buying right now especially with a possibility of pump in the next year or even this month, you don't want to miss out. As for me, I have everything in place, just need to get more money to buy more bitcoins.
True, most traders have made wise investment decisions during bear markets like today. Investors and traders who are willing to take the risk of speculating on Bitcoin and altcoins make huge profits if they buy and sell at the right time. Traders can earn huge profits by observing market movements and taking advantage of price changes.

Yes, smart investors knows how to take advantage of the market situations to gave them a winning profit in the end. Maybe it's not what we expect as this time, maybe they are just waiting for the right now to fill their bags again, maybe they are waiting for the price range of $30k to buy bitcoin again.

Nevertheless, I still believed that we can still be in the bullish phase if that scenario happen because many are going to buy and push the price again next year.

A lot of the new investors will really be devastated if the price will sink to 30K.
Seem panic only that drives this bearish move. The Senate hearing about the infrastructure bill looks good already, so it could just be many of the whales trying to make holder panics especially that there are lots of newbies coming into this market hoping to hedge from the current inflation. Too bad for these new investors, China's crisis is also making the world economy worse.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Arthur Hayes' latest article - Circo Loco on: December 10, 2021, 07:56:18 AM
He is saying Metaverse and Play-2-Earn tokens will win?  Its not going to hurt to hold some even if you are not playing.

It's the investors with weak hands will only be affected if the US and China are going to squeeze the money out from the 3 types of crypto investors. It's pointless because it's still not going to kill crypto but circoloco will be good.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin main use case now on: December 10, 2021, 07:07:03 AM
Btc main use case now is this:
Bitcoin is good market prices indicator to show just wich way all other coins likely will go.

If there is another reasons to use ....its unlikely.
People say specially traders that btc price is good indicator also to show wich way altcoins might go.
For payments and moving funds the stablecoins are definately best ones.

But yeah..now we know btc main usecase

Due to traders speculating the use case of BTC evolved. In any manner, it's still the use of BTC whether we use it for buying stuff as currency or use it to invest or just a store of value. It depends on how you use it, some use it to gamble. Today I think most will just buy BTC to speculate on its value in the future to make money. Buy BTC to make money.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Open Interest can determine the bitcoin prices ? on: December 09, 2021, 06:32:44 AM

For BTC you can be sure there are lots of traders who enter a position in the market while the price dips. You however wouldn't know when the price will go up for it may take several days to weeks before it will go up again. The volatility is just making the market unpredictable even when you use the indicators, you will still be guessing especially if you trade in a shorter time frame.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale bought $150 worth of Bitcoins during the dip. on: December 09, 2021, 06:12:22 AM
Meanwhile, I found it hard to believe that the Bitcoin belonged to a single individual and it is possible that the wallet is a cold wallet of an organization or an exchange cause no one will dare save such an amount in an online wallet.
What part of the article said it was an online wallet? I personally doubt it's an exchange wallet, due to the nature of the transactions, but it's very difficult to ascertain.
If a whale isn't careless enough to store their bitcoins in an online wallet, an exchange would probably know that as well, especially for cold storage.

Aren't these people concerned about address reuse?
Not everyone is very private conscious, considering that the change address is always the same as the sending address in majority of the transactions (the ones I checked out). Probably, they are satisfied with being pseudo anonymous.

Fo a whale, he should be concerned about privacy knowing that the public key is already exposed. It might be transferred somewhere later.

It's not so surprising that rich people are accumulating coins like what Michael Saylor and Bukele are doing. It's like they know something big is going to happen eventually and money will run out which will be replaced by BTC. Inflation or it could be because of Omnicron.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Situation with btc and usecase lets think now on: December 09, 2021, 05:25:43 AM

The argument about BTC being used as currency had been debated many times but it really depends on what the holder will do to his BTC. Most of the holders will just use it as an investment.

The seller who received the BTC could sell the BTC if he plans to cash out right after he got it so he won't lose the value. Like the rest of the investors, he wouldn't accept BTC if he has no knowledge of the volatility of BTC. But while the value can go low, it can also go up like any investment.
