1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 23, 2022, 10:44:08 AM
Liverpool were very disappointing on this week. I just don't get how they can play this much badly after getting two important wins for them to start recovering.

Nottingham were able to find so many weaknesses in Liverpool defense. The winning goal came by a really nice free-kick organization and Liverpool defense weren't able to do anything against it. Nottingham could have found even their second goal if they weren't that much clumsy. Liverpool tried something to score in the last minutes but they couldn't. Henderson saved a very critical header by van Dijk. Nottingham's shot in the last moments came back from the goal post also. I believe that Liverpool didn't deserve a win in this game but at least they could have got one point.

It is obvious that Liverpool's squad is very tired. Klopp needs to do some rotation to the team instantly otherwise he is going to have problems early this season considering that there is a World Cup in the middle as well.
This is the difference between Liverpool and City. City has the luxury to rest some players (eg. even Haaland who is in top form can get rest) and still the performance will be incredible.
2  Economy / Economics / We are facing a new recession ten years after the previous one... on: October 22, 2022, 09:54:59 AM
Over the past years we had faced an economic growth considering that interest rates had started reaching lows and people had started spending money.
The last months, possibly during summer 2022 and some months after Putin's invasion to Ukraine we experience a new recession, almost ten years after the previous one.

I think that the problem is global - and not specific to my country. Gas prices are soaring, prices for items for basic needs etc. toilet paper are increased by 25-30% and bread, milk eggs and food in general are higher in price for almost 40%.

On the other hand, I cannot see any increase in salaries and see that we are in a stable economic situation. Having said that, the purchasing power of consumers is decreased, and inflation keeps increasing in rates.

Elon Musk said in an interview that this situation is going to continue till Spring 2024.

This painful situation has a major impact to all aspects, even cryptocurrencies. The crypto market is not going to recover if the economic situation is not going to be reversed. This stems from the fact that neither investor not crypto startups will take the risk to invest money right now.

If Musk is true, we are going to see only the strong ones survive during those two years...
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: My advice to you regarding bear markets. on: October 22, 2022, 07:44:06 AM

I won't write about any percentages, but when there is no profit in sight, most people are not interested in cryptocurrencies - that's how it was in the past, and I don't believe it will change in the future.

Totally true and fully agree with that.
However, in most of us something sparkled the interest in cryptocurrencies. The freedom. the technology, anonymity etc. we didn't come here for the profit in the first place.
Profit came afterwards, let me say, as a reward for being involved to something new. Personally, I am not in favor for people who seek the easy and fast profit without knowing anything about the crypto space.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many Derivative Exchanges are filling for Bankcruptcy ? on: October 21, 2022, 03:11:47 PM
There is a lot of competition in the exchange industry. Just have a look on how many exchanges exist right now.
Also, consider that the most major services are accumulated by those exchanges giving no room to the smaller ones to be differentiated and make users trade on their platforms. Having said that ,trading volume is being accumulated in 2-3 exchanges making the others struggle to survive and eventually go bankrupt.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: YOUTUBE VS TIKTOK on: October 21, 2022, 01:32:13 PM
If you are a creator you might probably choose TikTok.
However, I really don't like TikTok. It is more of a waste of time for me. Useless content with no real value. On the other side, Youtube is floaded with videos that offer knowledge and add value to the viewers.
This difference is also depicted in the average ages of each platform's viewers. TikTok has younger viewers than Youtube as they want more entertainment than knowledge.
6  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: October 21, 2022, 01:21:57 PM
Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

The best thing you can do to yourself is to select a casino that it is not known for not paying out their users.
It is like giving your money to a bank that you are not aware if it is going to return them back or not.
Hopefully, we have bitcointalk and other forums that you can see reviews about casinos and other platforms and to be alerted where you invest your money.
7  Economy / Speculation / My advice to you regarding bear markets. on: October 21, 2022, 01:08:43 PM
As a first post I wanted to try and motivate people in the community. If at least one person will be motivated by this post, it is a win for me!

Clearly, by the LUNA fall and then we are experiencing a bear market. No one can deny that.

I have been in the space since 2017 - I wasn't just too bored to write here, since now  Grin - and I have seen a lot of ups and downs from the market all this time.
It is obvious that people are losing attention when the market is down and they try to grab opportunities from serious even from scam projects during a bull market.

I just want to say to all the members that will read this that a bear market doesn't say anything about your investment. In the long term you are going to reap profits from the coin you have selected, especially if your coin is a well established one with developers with experience and passion for crypto evolvement.

A hint for that is the growth of Bitcoin through the years.

Bitcoin ROI is at 13820.78% right now, cosindering the fact that the price is pretty low right now it can still explode.

Keep accumulating crypto and you will reap the rewards in the future!
