People worry too much if they don't see a quick confirmation and start to panic for no reason. Your bitcoins won't just magically disappear and end up in a hole with no bottom. That's especially the case if you are sending coins to yourself from Wallet A to Wallet B, and/or you don't need the funds urgently. Just let the mempools empty out and go about your everyday business.

The thing you should focus on OP is getting rid of that horrible and awfully created online wallet and get a good and functional one like Electrum, for example. If you had used a wallet with advanced coin control features, you could have taken advantage of its RBF or CPFP option and there would be no need for this thread. It's never too late to better yourself though.

Agreed. Lesson learned. Thanks for your suggestion.

What is also to recommend is this "service" from a forum user: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5034315.0 He has helped a lot of people here and it depends on the kind of transaction if it is free or if you need to pay a fee.

Good to know. Many thanks for your post.

The mempool is getting smaller and smaller as I type, and it's likely to shrink even more around Friday night then the 4 sat/vbyte transactions will become attractive again and his transaction will go through, if I had to throw a number at the wall I'd say 30 hours from writing this comment.

Your transaction was mined on (19, 2022 at 4:58 PM GMT+2) I posted the above on ( 18, 2022, 03:44:29 AM GMT +2) my prediction was a few hours off, but not too bad.

Anyway, glad it's over, make sure you use a proper wallet from now on so that you won't have to go through this again, visit the wallet section of this forum to see all the good options.

Lesson learned. Thanks a lot.

Excellent post Mikeywith. Thank you.
I had a hunch that it has to do with FTX downfall. I understand now that I was unlucky thanks to your detailed post.
Let's hope you are correct on your prediction  Smiley
Thanks again for your contribution.

Mikeywith,

Thanks a lot for your reply and apologies if this was posted in the wrong section but thought I'd post here first maybe a miner can better guide me on the situation. I have read the sticky on unconfirmed transaction on the forum and decided to send to quickseller and macbook-air but since I am new to the forum, am not sure if I get a reply.
But anyway, thanks again for your clarification

Thank you all for your replies so far....and suggestions.

Not sure if I can wait it out any longer as it has been 3 days since and considering the very low fee, I am not sure if it ever gets confirmed.

Since I am a newbie to all this, I am 'afraid' to tinker with features like sending to another address I own, CPFP etc..I am more looking for a bitcoin miner like the sticky in this forum suggested and actually have it confirmed through a miner if this is possible.

What happens to the funds if the transaction stays unconfirmed and is eventually dropped from the mempool? Will the funds be lost?

Hello good morning,

This is my first post but have posted also in this forum's bitcoin miners and am not sure I get a reply there so I thought it's better to post over here in the section bitcoin support.
I am in need of help with an unconfirmed transaction which has been stuck since 14th November. My problem is because my web wallet(blockchain.com) automatically set my fee too low and has been unconfirmed since. Usually the fee is adjusted automatically, depending on the amount of transaction and has always worked. Took a couple of hours and everything was fine. This time however, the fee was way too low and unfortunately noticed it after sending the funds.
Please understand that I am not an expert on bitcoin. Although I like the simplicity of the wallet, I am not familiar with certain procedures and terminologies

Was looking through this forum and came across the bitcoin support sticky. Tried contacting quickseller  and macbook-air but considering I am a newbie, I am not sure that I 'd get any reply.
Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. I will send the link for better clarification.

Good morning,

This is my first post although I have been following this forum for quite some time. I am in need of help with an unconfirmed transaction which has been stuck since 14th November. My problem is because my digital wallet(blockchain.com) automatically set my fee too low and has been unconfirmed since. Usually the fee is adjusted automatically, depending on the amount of transaction and has always worked. Took a couple of hours and everything was fine. This time however, the fee was way too low and unfortunately noticed it after sending the funds.
Please understand that I am not an expert on bitcoin. Although I like the simplicity of the wallet, I am not familiar with certain procedures.

Are there any bitcoin miners here that can help me out with this transaction? Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. I will send the transaction hash for better clarification.

Thanks a lot guys.
