Price has resumed the average growth rate from Dec 20 to the drop (higher sloped lines).

If the long term trend (lower slope) holds, we'll be permanently above $1000 this summer.

^ Thanks for the wise words old man, I like the temporary pawning thought.

I thought the next top would be around $6k, but some of the Elliot Waves guys disagree:

I am getting convinced selling almost guaranteed makes you miserable: You sell too early or too late.
Greed is a bitch.

Nice article, it tells me what I want to hear. Cheesy  It also agrees with masterluc's projection from a few months back (which isn't a surprise since they're both EWers): https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/MrwPhbog-Long-Term-Bitcoin-price-extrapolation/

This could be a C&H with horizontal movement for months until the next breakout, or...

...anyone not buckled in will be kicking themselves in a matter of weeks.

A 23% drop is totally normal for Bitcoin. This is all totally normal. Smiley

This is all totally normal...this is all totally normal...this is all totally normal...

I haven't kept up with developments for a while - which Chinese exchange is now considered to have most (non-fake) volume? I'm assuming finex is light on depth and volume these days, especially post-hack?

I can't speak to the Chinese volume, I'm only tracking Houbi and BTCC and both look completely fake.  As for the others, Finex has been a leader lately:

Due to low demand I have finished production a year ago.
Early years were full all of action: markets opened and closed, hackers halt networks, speculations on exchanges, miners equipment with USB sticks for 1BTC... good times. To remember this I have got 20 batches with some key information on each coin...
No more coins will be produced.

Your design is iconic and right up there with Casascius as representative of Bitcoin.  It's a shame they were not profitable enough to continue production.  Have you considered making another batch to commemorate the 2016 halving event?  I'd pay more for a coin produced only once every 4 years.

The wallet.dat file is incompatible with the new version so I am having a difficult time accessing them. Any ideas?

According to this StackExchange page you can convert wallet.dat to a newer format using the Berkeley DB utils:

It's too early to call a trend, but since the Fed announcement the yuan has lost ground against other major currencies.  Here's one example:

Source: http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=CNY&to=EUR&view=12h

Bullish.

And you're posting a EURO /CNY chart.

The USD/CNY chart shows the contrary..

Bearish

CNY and USD haven't moved much relative to each other, they are in the same range as before the annoucement, but USD is also down against the Euro, as well as the other currencies in the drop-down selection box.

Edit: nevermind, it looks like all the currency pairs are returning to pre-announcement ratios.  Just the system absorbing the news, I guess.

I prefer to think we're now in a Wave 3 that's just getting started, and the correctional Wave 4 that follows will end above (way above) $500 in February or March April or May.

I would expect you live in Australia

Humans in their current form have only been around for ~100,000 years.  Do you think we will survive our first million years?
