1  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Shoud I buy Dragon Miner on: July 07, 2014, 12:59:45 PM
buying 2 x ant miner s3 would be cheaper and can be overclocked safely to 504gh/s each to a total of approx 800w.  and cheaper than dragons also.

this is his correct choice.   buy the 2 s-3's and buy a good psu like

this  one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=evga+1300&N=-1&isNodeId=1

he spends  1.45 btc for the miners   that is 1.45 x 630 usd = 913.5 usd  the psu is 170 after rebate  an ethernet switch is 25- 30 usd

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704043

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704173

 a few ethernet cables

 3 usd

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812422117&ignorebbr=1

total

913.50
170.00
  30.00
    3.00

1116.50

they run 930 gh and 732 watts  without overclock

If he runs in texas  power is about 10 cents a kwatt.

He should be able to run it without much fuss.

way cheaper then a Dragon Miner.

and even if all the BTC goes to shit and becomes worth less.  He will still have a quality PSU
I'm really like this way. Therefore,I even can save about 800 $
Thanks in advance

The OP of this thread should NOT be mining BTC! He isn't even willing to do ANY research on his own. He asks the stupidest questions and doesn't bother to read the answers to his stupid questions.

well he well may be a troll. as the questions are very simple.  or maybe english is a second language .  hey  ducminhvip97

  some questions

where are you going to mine?

is English a second language for you?

what is power cost for you?

how much power do you have?
Yes,English is my second language.I am from Viet Nam and going to US(Texas) at the end of july.
I have under 2000$ for this. This is the first time I particiapate in bitcoin,so although somethings I know how to do but I still want to ask for better preparation.
The asic prices is pretty high so I want to avoid as much risk as possible  Wink

The best deal in the market for 1TH is the s3..
Could you give me more information about this asic please  Undecided

Yes I can give you info on the s-3.

It is the big brother to the s-1.

You need an ethernet connection and an atx psu.

they sell in two packs.

the thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=656461.0

the sellers's website is:

https://www.bitmaintech.com/product.htm   he is in china and only takes BTC

An USA reseller:

http://zoomhash.com/products/coincraft-a3-miner

He takes cc and paypal.  charges more for it.  He allows for you to buy just one

What part of the world are you in?   I am USA, New Jersey

what does your power cost  mine is 14 cents a k-watt

But I need 1 TH/s asic  Wink

Gee if you cant make out the four corners of a table after one has been pointed to you maybe you shouldnt be mining...

2 x s3 makes 0.956 TH close to 1 TH.. 946$
Buy a Raidmax 1000w PSU 99$
Total cost 1135$...

A dragon 1TH costs 1400$ if you buy direct at lketc..
100-300 More $ if you have it shipped...

Two s3 are cheaper relatively same real estate
And more importantly consumes 200-300W LESS electricity.

Cheaper unit price cheaper electricity...
Idk how lketc is going to sell anymore units if they do not slash prices soon.
By the way, could you show me how to connect 2 that asic to my pc,can I use my laptop instead?(But it just have 1 Lan port)
After I setup succesful, can I just turn off the laptop and leave these asic do their work alone?
Thank you Smiley

This is not an computer or GPU, this is an ASIC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application-specific_integrated_circuit
Well buy it if you want (although I'm not sure about this company). Don't expect a lot of profit if you do buy it.
But how can I use this, connect with the computer?  Roll Eyes
