1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From Art to Assets: NFT Trading Expands Beyond the Traditional Market on: May 03, 2023, 04:53:48 PM
carbon reduction is 100% verifiable.

How? How to prove that I actually bought and utilize a car?

NFTCar's innovative NFTs provide an effective solution to reduce your carbon footprint to zero. By purchasing high-pollution cars, scrapping them, and generating NFTs, carbon reduction is 100% verifiable.

Do you really think someone will spend 2k$ to buy a car just to destroy it just to get NFT? what is the reason why i should do this? I'm not talking about the environmental benefit because it's here and without your NFT. I say why worthless NFT would convince me.

And if you want to say it's not worthless, then tell me what will give it value.

The main challenge we face is how to effectively remove highly polluting cars from our cities, as following the government's current plan will result in millions of these cars still on the road by 2040.

Personally, I have committed to using up to 1% of our trading profits to buy back high-pollution cars and transform them into NFTs to address this issue. This approach has the potential to be highly effective, and investing in NFTCar NFTs with prices lower than APEs could be a more sensible option.

I believe that buying back and transforming high-pollution cars into NFTs presents a promising solution to the issue of air pollution in our cities.

I haven't bought APS-s, but I would love to trade those types of NFTs.

With our NFTs, carbon reduction is 100% verifiable. Each NFT marks the removal of 1 ton of CO2 at the cost of 80 USD per ton.
Each NFT is tied to a specific car through its VIN for verification.

Today there are billion spent to fight climate change, but nowhere can you follow the trace of spending or calculate real CO2 reduction. 90% of climate change-related projects are just scams as well.  I think that is kind of attractive for all the trading communities of the future. So, in the end, we need some solution to rely on and something we can verify.

There will always be shilling in the crypto world and I will understand that, bitcointalk is not short of that and it happens. However, this is TRADING discussion, I am sorry but what are we talking about here that is related to trading? Yeah I got it, you are doing something that helps the world and kudos for at least trying, don't know if you can achieve anything at all, doubt that you would, but at the end of the day we are talking about trading here and this has nothing to do with trading.

It needs to be relocated without a doubt to altcoin section and altcoin speculation even, in there it would get a lot more attention because this is regarding a coin and speculations about that as well, so it is not really that weird.
I totally agree, You can buy and sell NFTCar NFTs on the Binance NFT marketplace. I guess people wanna understand before they wanna trade it. No?

I do not have a detailed knowledge of how NFT works, but let's take it on the basis, how you will make sure of the car information and the value of its interview, and what is the guarantor of the liquidity of that car.

There are many ways to modify cars, but NFT cannot be modified, so how will these two variables be compatible.

Finally, there is no unified global standard for carbon and the carbon market[1] that will happen on a global and not personal scale and if it happens on a personal scale, there are better ways than NFT, so what is the distinction of your service?

[1] https://climatepromise.undp.org/news-and-stories/what-are-carbon-markets-and-why-are-they-important

Our NFT comes with car VIN code and with 4 QR codes on the NFT:
1- Proof of Advertisement - proof that the car has been bought from a public car sales website;
2- Vehicle Possession Certificate - proof that the car has been removed from the government registry;
3- Vehicle Scrapping Certificate - proof that the car has been scrapped and no parts have reused;
4 - Proof of scrapping - video proof of car scrapping;

We are making standards for the carbon reduction NFTs. 1 NFT equals 1 ton of CO2 reduced.

The carbon footprint of a car is dependent on various factors such as its age, mileage, and average fuel consumption. By estimating the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions that a car would produce over the next ten years, we can determine its overall impact on the environment. It's important to note that burning 1 liter of fuel results in the emission of 2.3 kilograms of carbon. Hence, we calculate the car's current carbon emissions and make projections for the next 10 years. Because the car has been scrapped, future carbon emissions has removed.

What is the better way of removing all the high pollution cars from the city areas?

And what will give value to these NFTs? Merely creating a token out of thin air does not make it have the value/power to change the environment.
Same as with play-to-earn or move-to-earn tokens. People are excited to be paid to play, but they forget that it can't work because on the other hand, there would have to be someone willing to pay you to play.
NFTCar's innovative NFTs provide an effective solution to reduce your carbon footprint to zero. By purchasing high-pollution cars, scrapping them, and generating NFTs, carbon reduction is 100% verifiable. Each NFT marks the removal of 1 ton of CO2 at the cost of 80 USD per ton.

The value proposition is that even in 2030, you can verify that 1 NFT equals 1 ton of CO2 reduced in the year 2023.
Games are for the games, and NFTCar NFTs are for those that wanna contribute a reduction of air pollution and reduce their carbon footprint to 0 from travelling, driving or owning real estate.

We invite you to join us in this important mission to combat climate change and reduce air pollution. With Carbon NFTs and Carbon NFT trading, we can all take ownership of our carbon emissions and make a positive impact on the environment.

We are excited to be at the forefront of this technology and look forward to the positive impact that Carbon NFTs will have on the environment.

Leave your comments below. Do you think such NFTs could be a successful way to reduce carbon emissions, etc?
The main problem of the NFTs is the liquidity problem. If you can use nft fractionalization to your carbon nft, then it will be better.
I guess NFTs dont have any logical liquidity solution. If any, then it's high risk.

This means that anyone can easily verify the carbon emissions reduction associated with each NFT, without any potential for fraud or misrepresentation.
With air pollution contributing to around 4.2 million premature deaths globally, and cars being responsible for up to 80% of urban air pollution, Carbon NFTs offer an exciting and effective way for individuals to take ownership of their carbon emissions and make a positive impact.
What are your thoughts on this new technology? Do you believe it has the potential to significantly impact climate change? Let's discuss.

I already read stuff, that it might be possible that every person gets a certain amount of CO2 emissions that he or she is allowed to produce in a certain time frame and that if you are above that limit, you have to pay a fee or a fine or something like that. So if this really becomes a reality in the future, which i don't hope, then the governments also need a way to track the persons CO2 emissions. This could possibly happen with the use of Blockchain technology because there everything is recorded and can not be changed afterwards and if someone is above his level but does not want to pay a fee, then he could a NFT from you for example.
I just don't know if it makes sense to scrap a car, that is still working flawlessly just create some NFT's. I think in the end that is even more harmful for the environment. So you should really only scrap those 40+ year old cars that are only used anymore in poor countries.

The actions of the government are beyond our control, and we have no say in them. Even Coinbase, a 100 billion dollar company, has no influence over crypto regulation in the US. It is generally believed that 99.9% of cars will eventually be scrapped, so it is better to do so 10 years earlier rather than allowing them to continue to drive around for another decade. The average person between 30-40 years old has little power, but many could likely afford to purchase one $80 NFT per year.
I feel that this may work out.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One Car at a Time: How NFTs are Helping Combat Global Air Pollution! on: April 26, 2023, 08:09:14 AM
When I see how they try to cross some shitcoin with some global problem and present these tokens as something utilitarian and helping to solve some problems of mankind, I immediately associate them with another scam with a beautiful legend. Does anyone believe that these NFTs will really contribute and help anything? The only thing they will contribute to is speculation on these tokens and lust for profit on another beautiful idea.

You are right about that, but with NFTCar, we don't have any coins or tokens, just NFTs. The first car we turned into NFT has VIN code: 1J8GK58K95W639564, so what it means is that everyone will be able to verify that this car is removed and turned into NFT.

Is there a solution to eliminating high-pollution cars from the society that doesn't require government involvement and allows everyone to contribute? Our NFT model currently costs $80, which may not be feasible for some, may be affordable to many.

What are your thoughts on this new technology? Do you believe it has the potential to significantly impact climate change? Let's discuss.

No! I don't think this initiative has the potential to significantly impact climate change. This is a huge issue and no one would be able to impact climate change just by scrapping cars. It can't be!

But I like the overall idea. For the first time, I am seeing something in the NFT market which is exciting and meaningful. Otherwise NFT market is essentially full of craps. I would like to know more about verifying the data of scrapping cars. Can you please explain? Also is there a way to cross verify it with government records?

We have created an NFT for a specific car, which is linked to its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), age, mileage, and fuel consumption. These details are recorded on both the blockchain and government registry, providing transparency and proof of ownership. The first car we have turned into an NFT has the VIN code 1J8GK58K95W639564, which can be verified through any VIN code checking website. Additionally, we have included in the NFT the car's scrapping certification, a video of the scrapping process, and proof of advertisement demonstrating that we purchased the car from a public car sales website. You can check our website nftcar. io for the details.

What are your thoughts on this new technology? Do you believe it has the potential to significantly impact climate change? Let's discuss.
It's not "new". The idea of businesses connecting themselves to "helping/bettering the world" isn't something this NFT invented, nor would it be the last company to use such a scheme. And this doesn't even combat the cause/root of the problem, which you've said already, cars. Instead it's like an infinite farming guide for the company behind the NFT's  (if it actually works) by continuously scrapping cars that are ALSO continuously being made by car manufacturers.

It's a meaningless endeavour, so no, it's not going to change anything.

I understand your point, but let me rephrase it to ensure I am capturing your message correctly.

The initial NFTs we created had a car with the VIN number 1J8GK58K95W639564, and this car was known to consume 13.8 liters of fuel per 100km due to its age. If we were to remove this car from circulation and replace it with a new Tesla, we could make a significant impact on the environment. By eliminating the older, more polluting car and replacing it with an emission-free Tesla, we would reduce the amount of pollutants released into the city's air. This would be a positive step towards creating a cleaner and healthier environment.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Carbon NFTs - Climate change tech 2.0 on: April 25, 2023, 04:28:00 PM
Hello Bitcointalk community,

I wanted to bring attention to a new and innovative solution to reduce our carbon footprint, Carbon NFTs by NFTCar.

NFTCar's Carbon NFTs are tied to specific cars that have been scrapped, meaning that for every NFT sold, one ton of CO2 has been removed from the atmosphere. The cost for each ton is $80 USD. The carbon footprint of the car is determined by its age, mileage, and fuel consumption over the next ten years.

What's great about these Carbon NFTs is that they are recorded on the blockchain and government registry, so anyone can verify the reduction in carbon emissions associated with each NFT. This ensures that there is no room for fraud or misrepresentation.

Air pollution is a significant issue globally, responsible for around 4.2 million premature deaths, with cars contributing up to 80% of air pollution in cities. Carbon NFTs provide an exciting way for individuals to take responsibility for their carbon emissions and make a difference.

What are your thoughts on this new technology? Do you think it has the potential to make a significant impact on climate change? Let's discuss.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Carbon NFTs on: April 08, 2023, 08:23:46 AM
What is your thought on Carbon NFTs? How could NFT technology stop or reduce climate change?

Our proposal:

We buy a high-pollution car, scrape, and mint NFTs. The number of NFTs minted will be based on the estimate of the car's future 10-year carbon emissions if that car drives around. 1 NFT equals 1 ton of carbon reduced.

How do we calculate car carbon footprint:
Calculating a car's carbon footprint involves taking into account its age, mileage, and average fuel consumption. This data allows for the determination of the CO2 emissions that the car will produce over the next 10 years. By purchasing and scrapping cars, we can reduce future carbon emissions.
Moreover, each NFT is linked to a specific vehicle using its VIN number, which facilitates the verification of the car's age and mileage, and the computation of future CO2 emissions.
One liter of fuel burned emits 2,3 kilo of carbon emissions.

Why do we need to do it?
According to the data, air pollution is responsible estimated 4,5 million deaths globally, and in city areas, up to 80% of the air pollution is caused by cars.
