1  Economy / Services / Your go-to web developer. Hire on an as-needed-basis and for any small / medium on: August 16, 2020, 09:32:56 AM
Hi, I am tech savvy nerd coding for 6+ years. PHP, JS are core skills.

I make complete websites, databases, handle configuration, API's, automate, scrape, bots, basic bootstrap layouts. I can read docs, handle all sort of coding and configuration tasks, on new platforms, frameworks and even languages like python.

Current: For a guy, I work 1-2 hrs / day on an as needed basis. Nature of work can be a contact form, scraping and developing UI, .htaccess, adding shortcode functionality to a non-wordpress site, making tables, cron scripts management with UI etc.

Word load is too less and looking for more clients ideally who I can help for a long term relation. If you like what you see here and would like to hire me in non-ad-hoc fashion, I would love to hear from you.

4  Economy / Currency exchange / Selling BTC . By Swift bank wire or transferwise.com(CC , bank) on: August 01, 2020, 12:17:45 PM
Want to sell .05 BTC . And receive in my Indian Bank account.
Must use escrow.
You can use transferwise.com (preferred) - which has options to pay via CC and bank. Transferwise has lower fees and its CC happens in a few hours. FYI: Transferwise will require making an account, submitting ID, verifying.
Or you can use SWIFT international bank transfer, which can take 4-5 business days. Feel free to use if you are okay with waiting 4-5 days for escrow.

You can suggest your own escrow or use this hodlhodl.com escrow . I have created a contract here: https://hodlhodl.com/offers/GUqAGtdGGFR5ZQhB

Security suggestion for all : Be carefull of all links , make sure domains hodlhodl is spelled correctly.

6  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Running 2 seperate instances of armory ? One offline and one online ? on: May 25, 2020, 08:33:31 AM
oh it seems I didn't explain myself properly.
One online machine. 2 instances of armory installed in separate folders. One can access the internet. The other is blocked at firewall level. Or even better in a virtual machine that has no network access.
7  Bitcoin / Armory / Running 2 seperate instances of armory ? One offline and one online ? on: May 25, 2020, 08:24:24 AM
Install armory 2 times in separate folders

Configure one to never have internet access and block it in firewall. Install private keys in this wallet. Use it to only sign a tx.
Open the other wallet which has internet access > import signed transaction > broadcast

Will this help a little from a security point of view? Seems to me that it will help with any bugs in the wallet software. Of course external factors like keyloggers are still going to be an issue...

Just curious. Not planning to do this.

12  Economy / Currency exchange / <Close> Selling 60 mbit. Payment with Swift bank transfer. Escrow must. on: August 12, 2019, 06:38:11 AM
Looking to sell  about 60 mbit and receive payments via international bank transfer, also called SWIFT . For escrow we can use many of the p2p platforms for trading. I am open to anything here. hodlhodl looks okay. If you comfortable with something else let me know.

I would prefer selling to someone with a few posts here, or a platform where the buyer is required to do KYC. Only concern being use of hacked accounts to make the payment.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Predicting BitcoinCash over Bitcoin on: August 04, 2017, 04:30:11 PM
Many traders are speculating that bitcoin Cash is going to do well in 2018! I do read on reddit that people behind bitcoin Cash are strong than those behind bitcoin core. For me we should allow time to decide the fate of both coins.

If you are going to believe what reddit is telling you, then at least read more than one subreddit.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Predicting BitcoinCash over Bitcoin on: August 04, 2017, 01:11:50 PM
As predicted by most, its being dumped and the price of BCH is going south. Currently @ .098 BTC
Is there an exchange or something where the number of people selling/buying  can be seen ?

Using bitstamp API for BTC to USD price

Quote
But, why use percentage change instead of people could set certain price whether it goes up or down? Or at least we can choose ; percent or price. I find it will be more useful if it can show us price movements as well.

Initially I had set it based on price only. Then was suggested to go  for % change.

I settled one approach to keep the site/code from getting too complex. But now that you mention it, the bots should be able to easily handle both! I think I'll add the price options for bot at least. yes. Thanks much for the feedback/suggestion.

But i have a problem, when I choose "get alert" it says "ERROR

Along with the email address, please also type a number for the percentage (at which the changes are sent).
I'll try to make things clearer.

i find it very usefull.

This is a good service though we have so many of it but everybody will create market for their service but if i may ask, what is the source of your bitcoin price ?

Thanks people
The source is https://www.bitstamp.net/  . Linked at the bottom right corner on site. Is it something that should highlighted more ?
